I feel for the employees, SCREW the dishonest dealerships. Now the know how we feel when they add 900.00-5,00.00 to the price of cars, dealership adjustments. This is the cyber world adjustments passed on to them.
Ransomware attack was the culprit. The group responsible is reportedly demanding a ransom before providing the decryption key needed for data recovery.
I work for a private co that prints dealership titles for Pa dealers. Dealerships can't sell vehicles without titles & we can't print titles without checks! It's a nightmare.
Its the service side of things that's the headache right now. Imagine your car was broken and there is nowhere to take it in for repairs. Yeah new cars are expensive. The dealers have no say in the MSRP printed on the window sticker. That's at fault of lock downs, liberal polices and the government printing money devaluing the American dollar.
It's crazy how cyber attacks have become more rampant over the last few years, there's a huge demand to fill in job vacancies that are for mid-level based on these attacks, but corporations are unwilling to hire new people off the street to train them up and get them to that level to handle the threats. It's almost like they want it to happen but you sure as hell are not going to find that many people in the talent pool for that specific level but you will find people willing to learn.
How can all you idiots say this is karma??? I work in the parts department for a dealership here in SF CA, this has greatly impacted us and possibly my paycheck! No one deserves this.
It’s funny that nobody even knows the meaning of the word karma and you just throw it around in terms like “this is Karma” yeah pretty much everything that happens is karma because karma just means action.
@@joanfrederick9176 one can say the medical field is way overpriced. I don't know many people that are excited to go to the doctor and come out of pocket thousands of dollars. Ive seen a water bottle billed out for $100 dollars. Now who's the crook? had a friend that's daughter was rushed off in an ambulance with a broken arm from school. They gave her a teddy bear in the ambulance to calm her. The teddy bear was on the bill for like $500.
At my dealership/employer, parts inventory isn't being tracked, and we don't really know what we have in stock- unless we can remember where a part might be but with thousands of parts there's no way to know much. This can't go on much longer, as we will not update pricing and sit on inventory we can't sell. It's almost like having no inventory, where we will have to order everything, whether we have it in stock or not.
@@kingtryton.... Not all dealerships use this same system. My dealer group ( and thousands of others ) use different systems. Aside from CDK you have Route One, Dealer track, Vin Solutions, Tekion, etc. only the dealers that use CDK Re affected. We don't and have been just fine.
backdoored cpus stingray operation etc if they want to get anyone they can and bury you with money dont poke the government digital footprint everyone who peeps a word against someone can get slapped easily
When they marked up the price 20.000 they laughed, when they screwed you over they laughed, when they sold you a lemon they laughed, now everyone us supposed to cry for them, they are rich
What goes around comes around! 😂
guess who's going to be paying for all this?

This what they get for lowering pay plans

If they want to sell a car they can lower the ridiculous prices.

Dumb customers think they're smart. They're the same people that think they're wolves when in reality they're just sheep.
whomp whomp
@@P2B_JC what does that even mean or have to do with anything?
@kevsgonefishing the people cheering for this saying it's karma are simply dumb people that think they're smart. That's why they're cheering

Just curious, how did you get your systems back to normal and what operating system did your computers use? It sounds a little nightmare-ish...
