Important basic - putting the chilli-garlic-ginger-tej patta into the dal at the beginning to boild with it. I use it everytime I make chhole, chana dal, dal makhani. It like making chai and gives great flavor.

Excellent tips thanks dal looks so pure and tasty. We use electric mixers and stop using stone to crush fresh or dry ingredients. The taste of Kutenai hua masala is completely different then grinding. You used that authentic trick. 👍🏽
