So sad to see far Salvation Army has come from their origins. Helping the poor and the homeless is noble indeed, but the true answer to the world's problems is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Amen and that's the aim of the video. Money is not more important than the Gospel, Jesus solves every injustice as he's the Prince of peace and wonderful counsellor to fixes our brokenness.
@dancedecker Hi, I encountered the living God Jesus Christ, He delivered me from sin death, fear of judgment, and give me the promised Holy Spirit I'm now free from sin fear oppression. So I would encourage you to seek his love He died on the cross for us created us and wants us healed in our soul. I hope you will come to Jesus for He is waiting on you to come to him❤
@Adam-n8y Do you not think Ive already done all that shit? It was by trying to be the best Christian I could be (1st Peter 3.15) that I read that disgusting piece of sh1t book PROPERLY and FULLY and very quickly became an atheist and I am NEVER. EVER going back to that immoral, disgusting, hideous religion. EVER. If you want to stay stupid and deluded, believing in asserted bullshit fairy stories, that's entirely up to you, but kindly take your moral monster, mafia boss sky daddy "god" and stick "him" where your paedophile priests stick their winkies when it's choir boy practice time, okay? Thank you.
I ran a food bank with my husband for five years. We ran it out of our church before, and through, covid. We found very little volunteer support - apart from a very small core group of determined individuals, and one of the pastors whose parish was eighty miles away. He started his own 'daughter' organisation with help from my husband. One unusual factor of our charity was that we delivered the food, because our target 'clients' were sick or disabled - thus, unable to collect it. The minute we began putting bible verses inside the food bags, the Charities Commission told us we would have to desist - or be shut down. Apparently this counted as 'marketing' - despite our having included absolutely no reference to our denomination or our physical church building. They were just bible verses on cards from Amazon.
I'm sorry to hear that, this is a sign of Christian persecution!! Salvation Army started as a Church so they should be an exemption to this but instead they cowardly shy away from presenting the truth but instead chase money which very little go's on cause. They are charlatans!!
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 The remedy for this is in the next few verses 6:13-6:20 Thank You Father ❤❤❤
@@danmillar9582 You are lying... Over 90% more than almost every other charity goes directly to the programs that you give to... The government's fault that they cannot mention Jesus..
Oh yes... I volunteered for the salvation army when I once mentioned jesus christ I got straight away we are not a religious charity. I'm not religious but I believe in our saviour jesus christ... NO more volunteering or donating to this charity for me...
was that because you believe in small j jesus christ? cause I follow Jesus Christ of Nazareth and give Him His proper name- maybe that's why they thought you were speaking of a religion, cause jesus christ does not exist, Jesus Christ does!
Well the sad fact is that you are wrong.. They use over 90%.... And it's the government that has demanded no religion... You're the one who elected your government so it's your fault they can't mention anything about jesus.@@stevewilcock4767
I was semi homeless for years. I have been to shelters of all kinds, and they all would require hearing the Gospel preached before serving a meal and an overnight stay. In 2001 or thereabouts, I needed shelter in Amarillo, Texas, and dropped into a S.A. The guard asked me to open my back pack, found an apple, and confiscated it. For the first time in my experience, there was no sermon preached prior to the meal and the overnight.
It is a distortion to think that you could wins God's grace, and I'm a catholic saying this. I know many think otherwise about Catholic teachings. But I was taught as a boy that God's grace is a free gift that can't be earned and is given freely by God to all peoples willing to accept it. Thank you for your message it's clear that the SA is trying to be politically correct by not mention our Lord and savour Jesus Christ.
Well, you first have to PROVE that "god" actually exists before you can assert what type of "grace" he can give. Maybe it was that nice type of "grace" that your priests seem to still REALLY like giving to little boys. Aww, bless. Lol.
@danmillar9582 I don't need to. And why not? Because you ddn't defend it or prove it, did you? Because you can't on EITHER count. It's you that needs to look for something else to do. Lol.
@danmillar9582 I don't need to. And why not? Because, instead of defending or proving, you went for condescending, stupid and arrogant. We all know it's because you can't do either, so I'd suggest it's YOU that now needs to go find something else to do. Lol.
A lot of this but not all of it is due to government funding. In the US, the Salvation Army gets a portion of its funding from the federal government and due to the idea of the separation of church and state the SA in America downplays its Christian roots. Not sure how it works in the UK.
"A barracks is meant to be a place where real soldiers were to be fed and equipped for war, not a place to settle down in or as a comfortable snuggery in which to enjoy ourselves. I hope that if ever they, our soldiers, do settle down God will burn their barracks over their heads!" also "When the church and the world can jog along comfortably together, you may be sure there is something wrong." Catherine Booth
A family member worked with the SA a number of years ago in London. She left it, having suffered harassment and working relationship issues. Where was the love of Christ?
My mum gave to the Salvation Army when she was a young woman in her late teens she didn't have much as the war hadn't stopped. But she soon learned a lot of what you said and stopped by the time she was 19 back in 1947. Mine came through the letter box last week I put it straight on my coal fire. Best place for it. Nice vlog young man 👍🏻🙏🏻
Tnx for this Information.. I had No knowledge that Christianity has Been removed from The Salvation Army! 😮 Will Keep this Charity Organisation in my Prayers! 🎉✝️
I received the same Christmas card from the Salvation Army and I did the same as you did. I thought about supporting them but found no reference to Christ in any of the literature sent to me. Disappointing as I thought their whole 'thing' was doing good to reach people with the gospel, the message of salvation.
Same here in Australia - I agree with you. I dug around on their website for their statement of beliefs, values and works and so on. On finding the inclusion and support of certain colourful flags and was discomforting, and far from what they once stood for. They are becoming more relevant to this fallen world by supporting diversity, equality and inclusivism. Rather than guiding these and other fallen people (sinners) to Jesus for salvation and leaving grossly sinful lifestyles behind, it appears that they offer support while remaining in them. From memory of recent "Pride Marches' and parades, they join in with some members being actively engaged in these groups. Maybe I misunderstand what they are doing, but being shocked and disappointed by their 'inclusivism' I can no longer support them. The visible body of Christ has some serious issues creeping in.
So true, I am stunned at to what I have found at every building I have walked into in Australia where I have lived so far, it is as you say and worse, some funding drug clinics joined to their building, some so bad there's literally athiests and people who actually hate Jesus sitting in the pews! I'm not kidding! I wish I was.they seem to have become social clubs with memberships. I have resolved to just following the Lord and His teachings the best that I can taking opportunity to fellowship with other believers if I can find any! I have wondered time and again if the Lord wants me to go back into these buildings as many times He has had me testify to professing "christians" that don't seem to really know Jesus at all! But I always conclude that I just can't go along with their heresies and worldly stuff. I have no problem going to sinners as I was a chief sinner and God converted me - so I try to keep engaging with the unsaved but Aussies are hard to reach for Christ- sadly i think in Australia we all have the attitude that if we wanted God or Jesus we know where to go, thinking if we wanted that for ourselves we would go to one of those buildings but sadly if they seek God there they might find a welcoming accepting group of people that make them feel loved and welcome but they wont find Jesus or His teachings and the gospel message because that offends.
@@Dedicated_to_Jesus_downunder Greetings! An interesting response from you. Support of these groups and individuals appears to condone their choices and lifestyles. It could be seen as participation through association: not a good image and indicates a decline in discernment. Fence lines are being blurred for relevancy, acceptance and numerical growth. It smacks of Wokeism and all it stands for. People cannot remain in these lifestyles and consider themselves as 'Christian'. Makes me think that a return to Puritanism and reformed theology is sorely needed.
Yeah they make you think your 48 pounds will give 5 lonely elderly people a Christmas dinner. Where do they take them? Weatherspoons?... lol Pity their 12.5 billion can't do that.
Blessed are those who are poor is status but rich in spirit. Jesus is the only bread of life, he is the Mana from the sky and the true ticket to salvation. The truth, life and the way John 14"7
They have become a corporate charity. I stopped giving to them around five years ago. You send a gift at Christmas and are then inundated with letters around once a month. There is occasionally an old guy in town with a collection box. I do give to him when I see him.
Reminds me of the YMCA. It used to be you could go there for "Two hots and a cot." Now it is a members only gymnasium. No showers and cots for the needy. Certainly no food. Yet they remain Tax Exempt!? Same with the Goodwill organization. They boast how they provide jobs for people. So what. Walmart provides jobs, but they are not a charity with Tax Exempt status. When I was a child Goodwill used to hire the mentally challenged and those with physical handicaps. Not so much any longer. They sell, frequently brand new items, still in their packaging, at full retail, yet have the luxury of keeping all the revenue and not paying their share of taxes. Must be nice.
As a child i grew up in the salvation army. I left in my teens and checked out different churches and done my own thing. my nan and grandad where salvation army all there lives Also in uniform mum was so i grew up that way .i have recently gone back to it last year the reason being is my own wife passed away due to illnesses and most of my family have had there send offs done by them .nan grandad dad now my wife of just shy of 23years. I have had a chat with a few people in it older folk on what i remember it being like growing up to what its become i said if william booth was alive now he wouldn't be happy seeing how things have become your motos blood and fire but i dont hear your preaching hard any more just a set formate .one old lady said years a go when i was a kid this place was packed i said my nans was also .i was once in a work van going thought London and we past there main HQ the guy said we did some work in there years ago at that charity i said its a church first not a charity or it used to be when i grew up its sad that its losing it focus do i intend to stay put or look for another place to worship i have no idea thay are nice and friendly to me and i sometime feel i have gone from where i first found my faith in jesus all the way round the houses and back to to where i started off .but God knows the persons / peoples hearts we just need to get back to being God centered once again.. as we as suposed to be seeking and saving the lost.
Beautiful story and it's sad the church has lost its legacy. I reccomend Baptist churches if you are craving fellowship and something tangible to hold onto, these churches are good at meeting people where they are.
Ten years ago I was homeless here in the US and stayed at the Salvation Army. They paid me to stand in front of stores and ring the bell and collect money in the bucket. I was going to use that money to get my apartment back....but was told I suddenly had to pay them for my stay...and I would be thrown out in just a few days!! I was able to speed things ahead and get my apartment back....but what utter travesty! The supervisor said, "I've got kids to feed, that's your problem."
My wife and I left the SA after many years (nearly becoming officers/ministers) because they were no longer about Christianity; instead, they are a pseudo charity with musical trappings. Sad.
I volunteered for the Salvos here in Australia for 3 years and left because of the hypocrisy, wokeness, lack of Gospel integrity, and hoarding gifts donated rather than distributing as donors intended. Politics and back stabbing in the ranks. All-around unsavoury behaviour. I will never donate to that organisation again.
Not all Salvation Army corps are the same- depends on the local leadership. But yes, there is a falling away In their gospel witness in favour of the culture of our times. Sad.
Thank you so much for this. Have been donating to the Salvation Army for years, believing that the name of Jesus was lifted up and was giving hope to the lost, lonely and homeless.
Thanks for your UK POV. I switched from donating to Sal Army to giving to a locally-based, genuinely Christ-following gospel mission. Salvation Army in Minnesota seems more interested in highlighting their celebrity connections.
To lose Christ from the Gospel, is no Gospel at all. The organisation is no longer Christian. Eventually disappear unless they repent and turn to the Lord.
The only way to accept Jesus as our Lord n Saviour is to repent n turn away from our sins. Its a message of Love, not condemnation. We care about damned souls!!
@@danmillar9582you have a false Gospel, right there, no one on this earth has ever stopped sinning. You receive Salvation by believing that Jesus Christ paid your sin debt in full, repent means a change of mind from what you were trusting in - your own works, and trust in Christ’s finished work. If you think Salvation is about you doing something, - working your way to heaven, you make God a debtor, when he owes you nothing.
Most of the world lives in Darkness friend, its up to us the church itself to forward the Lords truth! We have already won this fight thru the cross ✝️ Merry Christmas to Everyone in 2024's final celebration ✝️🌟🙏
I used to do a little work for the Salvation Army and was a regular donor. Ever since they started falling away from their Christian origins, I fell away from them. Now I donate to charities that are still Christian like Compassion: Releasing Children from Poverty in Jesus' Name.
Gives the impression of being evangelical but in truth is not! Christ must be the centre and all glory belongs to Him and in the end the Salvation Army is no different than the C.of E.
Thankyou for this share, very thought provoking for true Christians. I like what you mentioned about how people say god bless, small g intended, to me it sounds like nothing much more than when people use omg. I have learned to say 'May' God Bless, in this way I feel it is an ask, and prayer for someone, and not a demand or command 🤔 I have no earthly church these days, my Church is the invisible Church built upon my Cornerstone, my Saviour Jesus Christ. May God bless you dear brother 🙏💝
I am going that way too. Stay in fellowship with others as God wants us to sharpen eachother up!! Greek word ecclesia for church just means gathered believers. We can gather in any form. Amen
Not having Jesus Christ in there message goes completely against their name, not being the army of Christ in showing salvation through Christ into peoples lives.
I think another issue is that the UK is sadly rapidly progressing into a multicultural country, away from its former glory as a Christian country. Instead of keeping rooted in the gospel they're compromising with modern society, just like the monarchy and the Vatican
@@danmillar9582 on the "follower of Christ" channel it showed a brief video of a circus-like performance in front of the pope and his assistant bishops. Very weird spectacle to be placed on self-proclaimed sacred ground
Of course not. They could hardly help disadvantaged people if they restricted themselves to Christianity. AFAIAC, there is nothing to suggest that they /are/ a Christian Church: they are a homelessness charity like many others
@@Emmaforever If you are in Christ, then God our Father brought to Jesus his Son by The Holy Spirit. God gave you the gift of faith to believe, and your name was written in the Lamb's Book of Life from eternity past. The process and application of salvation is all of our triune God; it was his choice, and nothing to do with us. See you later.
You don't have a government that detest Christianity and stop people from praying outside abortion clinics. We are persecuted so badly out here they changed our kings titles from defender of the faith to defender of all Faiths!!!! Except Christianity off course!
If William and Catherine Booth came back today they would be furious and ashamed of what this organisation has become. William said something along the lines of “Give someone the gospel and wrap it in a sandwich”. The social help side of their ministry was a vehicle to deliver the gospel. They would regularly go out and conduct street meetings and share the gospel and street preach outside pubs and in town centres. They constantly conducted salvation meetings and alter calls. People would get some food whilst they attended. Now all the Salvation Army is, is a charity shop and a brass band. Total shambles, and God is not in it.
Careful , don't judge what you don't know. The Salvation Army and most churches are heavily restricted in what authorities allow them to do. Go and try to preach in the open air, and you will either be shut down or hit with noise complaints and such.
@@paulperry968 But sir, I am judging what I do know. The salvation army are not alone in this falling away. If John and Charles Wesley could return now and see the state of the Methodist church they would also be in disbelief. If Bishop JC Ryle could see the state of the anglican church it would be the same. Read early accounts of the young salvation army and you will find that they were heavily persecuted for their ministry. They often said they would take two coats out on the streets, one to wear whilst preaching which would be baptised in eggs and rotten vegetables, and another clean one to wear back home to their family. They saw thousands upon thousands of souls changed from spiritual death to spiritual life, drunkards and addicts born again of the spirit of God, casting off the old man and putting on the new, saved by the transforming grace of the Saviour our Lord Jesus Christ. Social help was a side product/bi-product of their ministry. Street ministry and people who are serious in evangelism have always suffered persecution regardless of the time. John Wesley preached 800 sermons in a row to thousands and thousands of people before his death and less than 10 of the sermons were preached in a church, because the mainstream church wouldn't allow him in. They did the same to George Whitfield and many others. Go and read accounts of the Scottish Covernanters from the 1600's who refused to pay homage to the king because they said there is not other king than Jesus. They were hunted, tortured and killed and refused to stop preaching and sharing, even upon standing with a noose around their neck on the hangmans scaffold. Christian's have been burned at the steak and tortured and executed in unimaginable ways for centuries for proclaiming the faith. I say to you now, if you think what we have is persecution today, comparatively, it is nothing to times gone by. But even then we are told to suffer persecution with joy and that we should expect it, that all who live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution . Here is a link with many such verses to meditate on if you wish - www.crossway.org/articles/10-key-bible-verses-on-persecution/ Regardless, I say this, and I say this to myself as much as to you or anyone. If we are not being persecuted for Jesus and for living boldly, proclaiming the Gospel to try and prevent those around us going to hell, then it is highly likely we are either, false converts, backsliders, or/and lukewarm Christians who Jesus makes it clear in revelation 3:15-16 that He will spit them out of his mouth. This is a challenge to us to seek to live according to the scriptures, proclaim the gospel to all and bring glory to God, considering our own selves to be dung, not desiring reputation or ambition, but willing to be nailed to the cross with Christ, forsaking everything of ourselves and being dead to the world. All of this modern social gospel garbage where the church is basically a charity shop that only share the goodness of God and says nothing about the wrath of God is sending people strait down to hell with a sandwich in hand. When do we hear preaching on sin and repentance anymore ? not in majority of so called churches. We need revival of the spirit of God to come and cleanse us, starting in the pulpit, then the congregation, and then into the culture. May the Lord bring the next great awakening to our shores and forgive our iniquity. Let us remember this also: that friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4). Let us not be deceived.
@@paulperry968 But sir I do know. Persecution is an ever present reality for the church and always has been. If anything, we have it better now in the west than ever before. Early salvation army members would go out to do evangelism and take two coats, one to receive a baptism of eggs and rotten vegetables and the other, a clean one, to wear home to the family. Regularly they would be struck and assaulted by drunkards. John Wesley preached 800 sermons in a row before his death, less than 10 being in a church because they wouldn't allow him in, because of the phariasee type leaders of the time. I was reading of a methodist preacher only today called Thomas Mitchell and his contemporaries who were regularly flogged, beaten to near death, thrown in ice cold ponds fully clothed, painted head to toe in white, stomped by angry mobs, dragged by their ankles for miles on gravel with bare back etc. They suffered all gladly for the glory and honour of Christ, often their suffering being condoned and under the instruction of local parish ministers who were spiritually dead. I implore you sir to read of the Scottish covernanters who gladly faced torture and execution for the free gospel and would preach even when stood on the hangman's scaffold before being sent to glory, under orders of the king at the time. Christians have been tortured and burned at the steak and endured all kinds of misery and sorrow. If the booths came back to see the salvation army they would be in disbelief. So would John and Charles Wesley and George Whitfield at the sight of the methodist church, so would Bishop JC Ryle at the state of anglicanism, so would Charles Spurgeon at the state of the baptists and reformed churches... etc. Nearly every denomination and group have become inept and in many ways apostate/heretical. In my humble opinion, most churches that are worth their salt know are found in independent congregations who function in isolation or in small groups within largely fallen denominations. Compare modern churches to scripture and the saints that have gone before us and we are certainly in a Laodicean church age. We have the fulness of bread and have become attached to the world. James 4:4 says, friendship with the world is enmity with God. The church tries to win people know through friendship evangelism because they are too afraid to be offensive (which the gospel is offensive and is the point). Churches try and bring people in through event evangelism like carol services and coffee mornings, which are not bad in themselves but should not be the primary method of outreach. It is like having the best fishing gear and only fishing in your bathtub. We are called to preach the word in season and out of season. This may be an out of season time where it is unpopular, but we are still called to do it. I spoke to a lost man on a walk the other day and offered him a leaflet about judgement day, to which he replied "The days of hellfire and brimstone preaching in this country (UK) are gone". The man was actually correct in a sense that the church has failed to preach that half of the gospel. We preach so easily the goodness and love of God, but fail to communicate the wrath of God and the eternal consequence of dying in sin. We live in a lukewarm time in the west sadly. But we must be careful to make our calling and election sure, working out our salvation with fear and trembling. Let us consider Revelation 3:15-16 where we are told that the lukewarm will be spit out of Jesus' mouth. The west needs a revival by the Holy Spirit of God to come and cleanse the pulpit and the pew, and then the world around. Let us be praying for this and seeking to be holy as he is holy. Persecution is a good thing, let us share the gospel with joy as we are told to count tribulation and persecution as joy, bearing it well. Remember "those who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution" (2 Tim 3:12)
Had an interaction with the Salvation Army in So. California a year ago. You're so right. I came away with two words to describe my final assessment of them from the contact - corrupt and cruel.
Many years ago I when I was working i regularly sent a decent amount of money every quarter. I lost my job and got a letter telling me I hadn’t sent my money and they wanted it. No consideration for me just wanted money. Last time I sent them money
Looked at the SA web page and only mention of "Christian" is in the small print at the bottom of the page. Mentions "Faith" and generic terms but nothing specific to Christianity or Jesus Christ in the main body of the opening page of the website.
The salvation army got rid of their staff when they wouldn't take the jab, when it was over they requited them on a new contract and forgetting the past years they had worked for them
We are supposed to acknowledge him (Jesus Christ our Lord) in all our ways; everything we do. If the Sally Army are not doing that, these works are not going to be effective. They 'are as filthy rags'. They need to turn and remember their first love. I hope they will. 🙏🏼
I am a soldier of the Salvation Army and my corps is Christ entered in all we do. We are trying to our best so don’t judge. Sadly ministry costs, as the children leader who runs the children church things like arts, crafts, food to feed them cost money and we run on donations. I pray that God blesses everyone with a Christmas that is filled with the light, love and hope our saviour brings and that people who seek him find him.
I know for a fact that the Salvation Army does not help the homeless get off the streets, nor do they give food to the homeless. They only give food to those who have shelter. TBH
Well, I can't speak for all these people who have negative ideas of The Salvation Army. But, I am an Australian Salvationist and belong to a vibrant, God glorifying Corps (church). Every week we preach the Gospel & often see people saved & grow in their relationship with Jesus. I know & love Jesus Christ & The Salvation Army is where God has called me to serve Him by serving others. I am sorry that others do not experience the freedom and joy that I have in the Army. May God bless you!
I know for a fact that the Salvation Army does not help the homeless get off the streets, nor do they give food to the homeless. They only give food to those who have shelter. TBH
No way! I'm the real thing & Jesus is Lord. But I can see you are just after an argument so ... I can't make you believe me, so God bless you brother and help you to see the good in what others are doing in His name this Christmas.
The original christians lived together & shared everything. Today this would be dismissed as a cult. Instead we have churches, but nobody understands that 'the church' are the people, not buildings. These buildings are led by people who are not the church, or act for it. They are therefore filled with people who do not know God, or act for Him. I haven't been in one of these buildings in over fifteen years. I now know what it is to be saved & to know Jesus. So if you want to know God, leave your local congregation & allow Jesus to teach you. You will become a disciple of the King of the Universe & adopted into His family. No earthly building or teacher can offer that.
The church I attend is amazing! We are one body in Christ Jesus and the preaching is Biblical. We help the poor and needy. God is blessing His church and we are seeing salvation. Hallelujah!
I will never give another dime to SA. Had to stay in an American SA shelter for a while. I've never experienced such egregious racism in my life. They aren't Christians any more, any group that hateful doesn't have CHRIST involved. The love of Jesus isn't in them, obviously. If you donate to organizations try to find one that embodies the Gospel. The org I donate to is local, they helped me and now that I'm back on my feet, I help them. May God bless you all.❤
Not sure what country you are from, but here is my take from Australia. One thing I came to realise about the Salvation Army is that there is a charity/social help side and there is a church. Most people are surprised there is a church, people who meet Sunday and all week who love Jesus and minister. They band together and worship. The outdoor street ministry etc is largely restricted by rules these days, no more marching brass bands allowed. The charity has to comply with rules and regulations. The work still goes on, but !!! It's all one organisation, but it often seems like two.
Yes similar in uk. These rules n regulations aren't the doctrines n decrees of God but from mere man. I understand the worship side is separate to the charity but the reality is, the charity use the "church banner" salvation army birthed by William Booth as a front to lure people in. Salvation is spiritual, it isn't just meeting fleshly needs like food and clothes, it's evangelising people the truth of Jesus and how Acceptance of him is the bread of life and everlasting eternal salvation. I live in UK.
Other people (than the founder generation), who pretend to believe in Jesus, take over these organizations by stealth, then cancel the Christian part, acting like it is a horrible offense to make people hear about Jesus. It is sad, but "it is what it is". As things stand, they truly don't know Him, and they won't let the Holy Spirit show them they need Him.
You raise valid concerns. There is danger, though, in tarring everyone with the same brush. There are many in the SA whose motivation continues to be the central theme of the Good News of Jesus. We are grateful for them.
What a sorry state of affairs. When you think of what the Booths did the current SALVATION ARMY should be ashamed. If I get such a letter they will be getting a reply and I will be very honest with them.
In NZ I'm very saddened to see the SA promoting the rainbow community and celebrating them. Their church is near my church and they have a cafe . I thought I would buy coffee from them and support them. I was shocked to see a rainbow shield and flag but no cross or representation of Christ. I shall not buy from them again. The Booths would turn in their graves to see what their fine evangelical movement has become..
Yep ,got the same letter ,mines in the bin ,I'm mot playing their games ,see how they say God bless you for all your support, no He doesn't, the only thing God our father wants from us ,is to believe in His Son who they didn't even mention,, thing is brother they have disrespected our Lord ,bless you for making a video of charlatans ,,,,❤
Here in Canada we have a Christmas support program. The past ten years or so the papers come in Arabic as well. They don't celebrate but they take a massive amount of support that could go to other people. Produce and turkeys are generally limited so it's sad to see a neighbor go without when someone with 6 kids that just arrived two years ago gets a small store's worth of food. This isn't anectdotal either, I worked at one of those charities for 5 years. They would come in load in their mini vans and clean us out. The more kids you have the more you get.
I found out what a fraud they were a couple years ago, and I refuse to give them any money! I will walk right by the bell ringers and ignore them. A couple weeks ago here in Florida, I saw they had a card reader attached to their setup!
It shows how far removed away from the foundation the organisation is today. Not only the founder would be grieved if he were here today, so also would be the many many SA'ists who were faithful followers in the train, would be grieved.
Nice user icon pic the Chi Rho the first two letter of Christ in Greek. May the Lord bless you, I ask in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
William Booth would be horrified by what has happened. He was so on fire for Jesus and desperate for souls to be saved. How far removed from this has the salvation army become.
Before everyone condemns the Salvation Army - not our job btw:) I work in a small town SA NZ foodbank and work hard every day to give hope, encouragement and yes the Gospel and I say the name of Jesus with gusto and leave the rest to the Holy Spirit, I may be bumbling but when they are called they are called and we have seen many beautiful softenings of the heart and miraculous provision in hard times. I also attend the SAChurch and the services are faithful to the scriptures and I have had a full immersion baptism, communion is done at home, originally they didnt want to tempt the many alcoholics they were saving - and they saved multitudes. As for the money in the bank, not my business, I am in the business of following and loving and focusing on my Lord and saviour. All glory to Christ Jesus, our redeemer lives!
Communion can be done with grape juice like the Methodist church. Jesus commanded us to take his blood and body, you can't shirk from this and Salvation Army are under God's wrath This quenches the Holy Spirit, where are your revivals now? It's a dead sold out church that are a glorified Charity with no integrity of Gospel centred ethos. Defend it all you want but most people can see the devil has taken over this organisation!!
I agree regards communion. We have so many movements of the Holy Spirit and Blessings every day, He cant be that angry:) Bless you, Im happy for you that you have found an untarnished place of worship. We choose to stay there and fight the enemy. We are not battling flesh and blood, we dont see progressive attitudes in our congregation. Love to you and your community.
I once watched a pastor in the SDA Church give his testimony and he was raised in the family that stated the Salvation Army (he may have been adopted) long story short the family was part of the elite class that is involved in occult practices like Transcendental Meditation, like levitating. They have been on the dark side from the start. So, yes Jesus was never in the organization. See if you can find the fellow's testimony it was dramatic he was targeted for sacrifice and he had already received the Holy Spirit and he had to meet the mob on the lawn of his rental barefoot (Holy Spirit told him God was with him and it was scared ground and to take off his shoes) to tell those who meant to serve him up to satan as an offering that his soul belong to Jesus and even if they did kill him he belonged to God. Well that is how I remember it.
Judge not that ye be not judged. I wondered how long it would be before the Army would be pulled to pieces. I belong to a small Corps that has preached the gospel for 145 years. The folk are warm loving and loyal. We actually try to follow the teachings of Jesus and my wife and I have been helping a man who is struggling on his own. We often invite him for lunch and it is our joy to do so. Jesus said 'beware of wolves in sheep's clothing and I've no doubt we have some just like any organisation. If the Army was perfect there'd be another set of writers complaining. 🎉Instead of pointing out it's faults how about a little praise for the many who-are doing their best in an increasingly Godless and sometimes even hostile environment. I'm sorry some feel let down and disappointed. We don't always get it right. Why not come and help us? May every writer discover the love and joy of knowing Jesus this Christmas. Best wishes to you all.
I wouldn't worry about little me, I only had 50 subscribers before I did this video. There are much bigger people than me exposing this organisation. Yes there are good people who worship n work for the Salvation Army, they are undervalued and I pray for them!!
A while ago, we wanted to leave some Christian tracts in one of their shops but they were just not wanted, so we shall not be supporting them in any way in the future, unless they change.
i agree all you said, why store all their treasure on earth, why not use the money in the bank help the cold, hungry, they becoming ashamed of the gospel, thank you so much for your message
It's the same for all the charities. Why has The British Legion got million upon millions, and yet we have veterans living on the streets. Local charities make a difference.
Agreed! It's upsetting they chose not to mention Jesus. It's about time they spent the billions housing the homeless! Only then will I fill their pockets
It is sad when a Christian charity is ashamed of Christ, shame on the Salvation Army, World Vision also took this same stance about 6 or 7 years ago, not good at all. William Booth would be appalled.
Here in NYC, the Salvation Army has become indistinguishable from progressive left-wing nonprofits. I work for the city and have to attend first aid, CPR/AED, and Mental Health First Aid trainings, and they are one of the organizations providing the trainings. They require my pronouns to sit through the trainings. Their shelters for women escaping domestic violence accept violent men who claim to be women. I refuse to refer any woman to such places. They have a dedicated shelter for trans people, and the local outposts that provide shower facilities and referral services no longer have chapel services or a chaplain on staff. I only go for the trainings and free NARCAN supplies to use for my work.
Yes no different to any other secular social services provider. Wow a trans shelter!!!! Sounds like scrap heap bus depot!!! Hardly a refuge for sinners, more like rewarding sinners!!!!

Er, no. That's the LAST thing it needs.

Find out who runs the S.A and find out their background
"Marketing" the religion, I suppose?
Charities commission don't want people feeling empowered, they want them broke and down on their luck in order for them to operate and make a living.

Sorry to hear your struggles. Yes preaching is the word of God, they struggle to nourish us in more ways than one. Very sad!!
@danmillar9582 Thanks for the good response.

Yes absolutely. They don't want to offend preaching the truth. A shambles on the great Commission.
Well, you first have to PROVE that "god" actually exists before you can assert what type of "grace" he can give.
Maybe it was that nice type of "grace" that your priests seem to still REALLY like giving to little boys.

A lot of this but not all of it is due to government funding. In the US, the Salvation Army gets a portion of its funding from the federal government and due to the idea of the separation of church and state the SA in America downplays its Christian roots. Not sure how it works in the UK.

They really need it
I received the same Christmas card from the Salvation Army and I did the same as you did. I thought about supporting them but found no reference to Christ in any of the literature sent to me. Disappointing as I thought their whole 'thing' was doing good to reach people with the gospel, the message of salvation.
They go under a false name. Absolutely agree.
I will not judge either way, but don’t forget Jesus was accused of dining with sinners. He said he came to seek the lost, not the well.
@paulperry968 yes but he always said "sin no more" after he showed them love and grace
@@paulperry968 Yes, but I doubt he would have joined in their debauched celebrations, thus condoning their behavior.
I've not given to them in the last few years because of this. Hardly anybody does anymore.

😮- I found - same with th RedCross

@@danmillar9582you have a false Gospel, right there, no one on this earth has ever stopped sinning. I think another issue is that the UK is sadly rapidly progressing into a multicultural country, away from its former glory as a Christian country. Instead of keeping rooted in the gospel they're compromising with modern society, just like the monarchy and the Vatican

Completely agree with you.
Here is a link with many such verses to meditate on if you wish - www.crossway.org/articles/10-key-bible-verses-on-persecution/
Regardless, I say this, and I say this to myself as much as to you or anyone.
@paulperry968 don't give up your day job. I know my audience
You know by their fruits. Cruel and disingenuous
You are correct. I have witnessed the cruelty and corruption by the Salvation Army in California first hand. TBH

Many years ago I when I was working i regularly sent a decent amount of money every quarter. I lost my job and got a letter telling me I hadn’t sent my money and they wanted it. No consideration for me just wanted money. Last time I sent them money
I'm shocked they didn't send the Bailiffs or Sherrifs round your house!! The audacity!
Looked at the SA web page and only mention of "Christian" is in the small print at the bottom of the page. Mentions "Faith" and generic terms but nothing specific to Christianity or Jesus Christ in the main body of the opening page of the website.
Jesus has been demoted!!! They will have to stand before the mercy seat!!
The salvation army got rid of their staff when they wouldn't take the jab, when it was over they requited them on a new contract and forgetting the past years they had worked for them
Let's see what they do when Mark of beast comes out!! Many blinded by lies of Satan
We do need to be compassionate towards the less fortunate people.

What about the unfortunate people? 🤔 You must be one of the fortunate ones. Lol

Salvation from what, or to what? They don't know who they are anymore.
Jesus needs to call them back but I think its prophecy
We are supposed to acknowledge him (Jesus Christ our Lord) in all our ways; everything we do. If the Sally Army are not doing that, these works are not going to be effective. They 'are as filthy rags'. They need to turn and remember their first love. I hope they will. 🙏🏼
Jesus will be saying "depart from me I never knew you" they have lost their zeal
I just subscribed. Thank you for bringing this to discuss on your channel.
I'm glad U-tube suggested your channel.
Welcome aboard!
Don't you think paying your ceo 500 k a year is a bit lavish??
I know for a fact that the Salvation Army does not help the homeless get off the streets, nor do they give food to the homeless. They only give food to those who have shelter. TBH
...when Jesus comes back, some Christians will be caught up, and some Christians will be caught on!

May God bless you!

finding a decent church....... or as I call it : 'mission impossible'.
There's a remnant but few and far between
Find a Church of Christ that follows the New Testament (Not Mormons)
Hallelujah!
@@phoenixxavier9615please dont say nobody and everybody. This is totally unfair to the saints toiling in the vineyard and preaching the Word .
May God bless you all.❤
Thanks for the insight. It's a real travesty.
Fallen man always corrupts things which start holy. The love of money is the root of all evil.
Our greatest desire is that everyone come to know Jesus.
And you can give money.
Christians are not social workers.
Yes a Church isn't just a social services provider because even they profit from the weak
@@danmillar9582 Right! TBT
You do talk sense sir, I didn't realise the SA was rich wow.
Thank you. Yes, i just try to always put dark into the light.
You raise valid concerns. There is danger, though, in tarring everyone with the same brush. There are many in the SA whose motivation continues to be the central theme of the Good News of Jesus. We are grateful for them.
Yeah always a small remnant
What a sorry state of affairs. When you think of what the Booths did the current SALVATION ARMY should be ashamed.
If I get such a letter they will be getting a reply and I will be very honest with them.
The truth will set you free. Humble and admonish them
They are supposed to be the ‘Salvation’ army.
They should be sued under trade description act lol
Thankyou for clearly declaring your faith, dear brother.
You are very welcome
In NZ I'm very saddened to see the SA promoting the rainbow community and celebrating them. Their church is near my church and they have a cafe . I thought I would buy coffee from them and support them. I was shocked to see a rainbow shield and flag but no cross or representation of Christ. I shall not buy from them again. The Booths would turn in their graves to see what their fine evangelical movement has become..
Yes I've come across a few churches in uk supporting rainbow. I expose them on my shorts.
Thanks for your support. Yes they are selling the gospel for a quick buck. Too many outside noises making them surrender the truth.
Sounds like a scam, it's all for show!! They lack accountability
I have been waiting on them doing this. Am also waiting for the word salvation to be taken out. If this happens i will never donate again.
God is patient
I found out what a fraud they were a couple years ago, and I refuse to give them any money! I will walk right by the bell ringers and ignore them. A couple weeks ago here in Florida, I saw they had a card reader attached to their setup!
yes card readers are dettached from giving, perhaps they dont trust their own staff anymore.
It shows how far removed away from the foundation the organisation is today. Not only the founder would be grieved if he were here today, so also would be the many many SA'ists who were faithful followers in the train, would be grieved.
Yes they have fallen from grace, lesson to us all.
A white washed tomb and Milk toast as rev Brett Murphy would say!!
Sadly, similar things have been occurring in the US.
Global issue it seems!! Satan is prince of the airways and destruction travels fast
@danmillar9582 Indeed. Satan knows his time is short.
The occult is detested by God in Deuteronomy
You couldn't make this up. Many similar stories in the comments.

Yes its about empowerment through Christ. S A are just like everywhere charity now, gimmicky and self centred.

Yep I put thoughts into action. So glad I did.
It is sad when a Christian charity is ashamed of Christ, shame on the Salvation Army, World Vision also took this same stance about 6 or 7 years ago, not good at all. William Booth would be appalled.
Yep. A moral decline among most mission based charities
What a shame because they started out right.
