We were married in 2018 in the Philippines and lived there for 2 years. I came back before the start of the pandemic and there is a big backlog for Documentary qualified applications at the NVC. USCIS took 8 months to approve our IR1 and NVC took 4 months to get Documentary qualified and we are waiting currently 2 months for a interview however from what I understand the current wait time for a interview at the NVC for an IR1 is 9 months to 1 year due to the pandemic backlog.

My fiance just finished her interview and got accepted. I think it varies to whoever is your interviewer. My fiance's interviewer was completely opposite. He was an old guy, and based on what my fiance told me, he was smiling from the get go and was always giving positive reactions like. wow that's really nice!, That sounds so fun!, etc.

I have a question, so I have not to chance to meet my fiance due to Covid, Restriction and military coup that is happening. We have planned to marry there but the travel was banned due to situations. what do you suggest, can I still my fiance to the U.S? any advice.

Hi, my 6 month ds-160 already expired (before he asked me to marry him), now should i apply for a visa extension, or get a new ds? (since k1 asks).
My fiacne is in Argentina we are waiting for it to be processed. She was going crazy because of all the requirements to bring to the embassy for her interview my lawyer told her they will have all ur info that she processed to to her. Hi! I believe being able to prove that you have met your fiance in person at least once is one of the requirements for K1 visa.
Q4: has he met my parents; technically yes he has “met” my mother by video chats & I don’t really communicate with my father. Would he just answer that question as YES even though he hasn’t met my mother in person yet?
You can say exactly how you wrote it here! It is not yes or no question, so just explain what you explained to me.

yeah they do
@Jay_ Stack unfortunately they didn't at US Embassy in Ankara! They claimed that they don't have an Arabic speaking consular officer because my fiancée is out of her country of origin, which is Iraq. We have to hire an interpreter out of our pocket.

How long did it take?
Hi, I am applying for a US fiance visa (k1) and I was approved by uscis and it has been 70 days. I chose the embassy in Ankara, Turkey. But there is no news from nvc . Can you help? What should we do? The reason why there is no news about nvc could be due to the closure of the Ankara embassy? And that I should not have heard of nvc until now? Thank you

I don't remember exactly how many but yes you can print out some of the pics or proof to show them. That is a good idea.

Congratulations:) You can go to US embassy in Japan website and make your appointment. Once you book your interview, you can print out your booking confirmation info from anywhere you have access to a printer. There should be a bottom that says "PRINT" Also, you have to bring a DS-160 confirmation paper to your interview.
How long have you been waited for your NVC after the approval of your papers from USCIS?
Because mine was approved last 11 of March 2021 right now still waiting for NVC

@@robertandchar8561 we start it 2020 February, I got nvc letter and I sent my birth certificate 2X2pictures no married certificate etc . But then I waiting 3 months 😟it’s so slow so stupid K1visa … it’s better to get student visa . Lol 😂

If they asked how often do you talk to each other, could he answer that it’s every day? Will they ask how we communicate?
Just tell them the truth! If you talk to each other you can say so and to add some details if you can say how you communicate that's good. If you can't talk to each other maybe give them a reason why like busy with work or time difference or something.
@@kkslifeinhawaii5397 we talk every single day! lol! Even if it’s just a 2 minute video call to see each other’s face. But we message, audio & video call several times a day. The time difference hasn’t been a problem in almost 2 years (he’s 6 hours ahead of my time!)

How long did take to get your residency once you got to the U.S
Your fiance can hire a translator. Usually its 6-12 months to get a green card. I am applying for green card at the moment as well.
What if I haven’t met my fiancé in a 2 prior before. Can I still apply for the K3
@@rodrigodeleon4296 If you want to apply for K1 you have to be able to provide evidence of in-person meeting. K3 visa is for the couple who is already married outside of the us.
For example if your Fiance does not speak English at the Embassy and your interview is in Italy, there will be an Italian translator in the U.S. Embassy onsite
Do you think age difference could be an issue? Red flag during the application? I am 10 years older than my partner.
Anecdotal evidence but one of my neighbors was 15 years older than the beneficiary and his packet was approved. This was in the early 2000s and the K-1 process was exponentially faster back then.

Not for k1 visa! K1 visa interview is only for non-American fiance. However, once your fiance is in the U.S. and get married. You two have to go to the interview together for his/ her greencard!

There's no dress code for the interview! I would just avoid anything that's extreme.

@@yangchentenzin8470 You have to be able to prove that you have met each other in person at least once. If you do not have a pic together you have to be able to prove that in some other way which I'm not sure how.
I have heard that you also have some kind of class you have to take did you have that experience. This what I have heard in the Philippines though I know you are in Japan
No, I have never heard of class, and also I didn't have to take any class.
Base on the information I heard about the class, if only you don't know the language of your fiance.

It will be in English, but she can bring an interpreter with her. Embassy does not have an interpreter, so she has to bring one herself.

Interviews are always in English. Your English speaking ability does not affect the result of the interview but you will be asked questions in English and you need to answer in English as well/

@@merlin7663 Hi:) I have never heard that people could choose the language. It might depend, I think it would be best to call your local U.S. embassy and confirm! They would not ask you anything too complicated, so I think it is good to practice before you go:)
My now wife had her interview in tokyo. She only speaks Spanish. They provided an interpreter. Btw way they hardly asked her anything. Maybe it's because we are older 63/56.

When a non-American fiance goes to interview for K1 visa at American embassy in his/her country, he/she need to bring a American fiance's financial document. That documents asks all the numbers of American fience7s financial situation so yes eventually you need to know
