People seem to forget the Raiders improvement on defense wasnt just AP taking over but the emergence of Malcolm Koonce. This dline is going to be pretty damn solid.
Real talk. Also Wilson played better when the Raiders began to utilize him both inside and outside (which they should’ve done from the get-go as that’s how he was used in college). There will be downs where Crosby, Wilkins, Wilson, and Koonce are all on the field 🔥
Exactly everyone is sleeping on koonce and his 8.5 sacks will be 10+ this year with Wilkins coming in you can't double everyone lmao I'm pumped

Everyone talking bout Crosby but koonce will benefit the most from this moves. Teams will pick their poison and either double Wilkins or Crosby depending on their o line but that leave koonce as the unaccounted for player. And if he had the year he did last year with just Crosby now with Wilkins he will get 1v1 matchups all year and he will have an opportunity to have a crazy sack year!
Tyree Wilson I would argue will benefit most ...he will get to grow in relative peace while Wilkins gets all the attention

And it’s a contract year for Koonce and everybody knows edge defenders put up the most sacks of their career in contract years.

@@AaronEvans-xm2wband they're both DT's. It gives Wilson the chance to develop next to one of the best in the business. Koonce is gonna ball, but I think Wilson develops at a faster rate.

This was such a great move because if they didn’t get a DT raiders probably would have drafted a DT. The guy from Texas Murphy. I know raiders need a QB but now since they have Wilkins they should go get Terrion Arnold and then also sign Devin white. They need a corner back and also linebacker if they can’t get a QB and even if they can but it cost to much to move up then they need to wait until next year. They need to get terrion arnold. And white.

@@Lachronix They aren't getting Fields when they hired Luke Getsy, the OC who just left him in Chicago and said he had to oversimplify his playbook for Fields. They will draft between 10-13 likely and get a guy to compete with Minshew like Penix or something. Unless Jayden Daniels is available somehow at a spot they can get to.
