I like them both, but the older one would be my choice. My dad many years ago made and entire crock, the old big ones like you'd make pickels in. When he gets back from Florida,I'm gonna hit him up for one! He is so great at working with wood ! I told him he should sell em ! He didn't think anyone would buy them! I like product reviews ! Like all your videos. Can't wait for more of them !

As much as I love the Brazos staff, there is def. sentimental value in my old trusty “Zelda”. You should keep on your dad to do it! If it makes him happy and he’s passionate about it, all the other stuff will follow. Thanks for watching Susan! I’ve got more comin’!

What a beauty of a hiking stick . Brings back a lot of memories of being a kid harvesting sassafras roots in southern Missouri and Arkansas for genuine root beer . Congrats on your new stick and ATB from New Mexico --> Lefty

Thank you! I actually bought this one for my wife and I hope it encourages her to get on the trail some this year. Thanks for the support Lefty!

Good review you gave ! I have one, made out of Hickory. I absolutely love mine. I used mine everyday, I have a tripping problem and then falling. This stick save me a couple times already. I hope you enjoy your stick. Thanks for sharing your video

Nice hiking staff, I have to say I like yours better though. I have one like yours and love it. A dear friend made it for me-after seeing the rubber tip idea I may add that modification-I wouldn’t change it other than that. Great video and product review.

Thank you! I certainly plan on adding that to mine soon. I’m kind of attached to mine as well. The sentimental value is hard to top.

It's too bad they sanded out the classic sassafras spiral, makes me think it might not actually be said sassafras... now that second stick is more along the lines of the ones I have, that is some good sassafras!

I was wondering where you got your walking stick. Marty made me one , not sure what of but I did some things to it and have been weary of using it in the woods. I have a metal staff I use but it can be a pain sometimes, doesn't feel strong enough. Good video J, keep them coming.

I'm 6 feet tall and just bought a 55 inch walking stick . Is that an ok length or did I make a mistake ?

Packaging stinks. Can you nail hiking medallions on the stick?

You could make that in half hour

I’m a professional florist and I can make a $200 arrangement in a half hour, but what does that really have to do with anything?
That sassafras stick would have to be harvested, dried, sanded, cut, drilled. The rubber stopper, leather cord and finish would have to be sourced, the tools have to be at hand, and the finish needs time to dry. So, can one really do that in a half hour?
I’d rather go online, press buy, and have my chosen one show up at my doorstep in a couple of days.
I have a fairly extensive woodworking background and $30 for that staff or walking stick is a very good value. I wouldn’t make it for that amount. Let alone, market it, package it, and ship it.

How does a grown man not know to put a rubber end on a cane, walking stick, or walking staff. he has seen it all his life
