- An intimate interview with most members of Crass recorded on super 8 video circa 1985/86 around the impossibly small kitchen table at Dial House. How that many members of Crass all got around that table remains a mystery to me! Possibly the last ever interview with Crass. Transferred from super 8 video to a DVDR several years ago now for £20 by Stanley Production in Soho. Taken this long to figure out what to do with 'digital' version. If you share this video you owe me a £1.
This is the first time I’ve ever hear Phil Free and Pete Wright’s voices. Pete is very softly spoken
Really wonderful to see this - thanks for uploading!
More tea vicar...?
05:54 My boy Steve was going for it
Wow, this conversations in that small kitchen really started a full scale revolution all around the world. Or not?
Very interesting to see this footage. Thanx for uploading them. These guys had a big impact on me, back in the day....
Equipped with a healthy cynicism ever since lol...!
Hit Parade were excellent! - Penny produced some great music in his time....Super 8's had a damn noisey zoom back in the day too eh!
Rimbaud is the double of Sean Pertwee with that haircut 😁😎
when everyone used to say group instead of Band
Not my super 8 video by the way.
This is absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. Any other footage ?
I used to love Crass back in the day but I've seen a few vids like this where Penny is worshipped as some sort of god. "Who's your leader? Which is your flock?" Just wondering....
sunrise soya milk....soya milk back then was so nasty!!
spoilt for choice now :)
your pound is under the green bin out my back garden.
Thanks. this is pretty amazing! you got more crass video footage?
Enjoyed the wildlife shots.
Yeah it would have been great if they didn't pan away whilst they were making a point though
What's the message behind this video ? That traffic lines and chickens are more interesting that what Penny Rimbaud has to say ? It's very nice to have actual footage of Crass in the Dial House at the time, and I do feel privileged to watch this but those digressions at 3:13 and 4:36 spoil much of it unfortunately.
+Bitteulze The whole video is here. The above was part 1 of 3. Those 'digressions' unfortunately do NOT spoil it. ua-cam.com/video/ftjGuQiehLk/v-deo.html
Bitteulze it's more about being a fly on the wall of Dial House. The stuff Penny's saying is interesting enough, but the whole thing is in the middle of things. I'm happy it exists at all, at and it's a fascinating snapshot!
The rooster is interesting because they are supposed to be vegetarians and they are cool creatures anyway.
I see a rooster there. Did Penny and Crass eat eggs anyway? I know the Dial House has been staunch vegetarian meals around there.
It really am starting to think penny wanted to be the mouthpiece of crass though the public and fans would believe it's steve/Eve maybe some jealousy there.....
Is the interviewer Winston Smith?
They were about to sell a fuck ton of albums that year....like the most ever for a punk band
Lots more Crass on this UA-cam channel; ua-cam.com/channels/uTM554_3ninyTXnA8rmcPQ.htmlsearch?query=crass
+Michael Baxter Thank you so much. I don't have any pound coins, will you accept a couple of euros.
I need to know, WHO is “What the Fuck” about!?
Stick on the bill
Crass were amazing,in the 80’s when i heard the opening lines of ‘you shithead slimey got it alls, you crap eyed ghost, with greasy balls,i thought they were brilliant
don't take it too serious not many do read between the lines and find some truth! lol
