I can imagine Altered Beast game with Black Myth Wukong type of gameplay, but heavily focuses on the beast transformations to be in line for the connected chain combos, much like Ben switching his aliens mid-fight extremely fast using master control while doing combos.
To be honest, it turns out I'm not the only one who thought it was related to ben10 It's almost the same transformation process, but this one is more painful.

Nice. Another cool game from the PS2 era. It's nice you had the human and werewolf forms from the OG game but they included so much more this time. Shame they didn't continue with this, a few eccentric games back in the NES, SNES and Mega Drive eras had games about MCs that changed to more monstrous forms to fight, usually wolves for some reason XD and this one took it a step beyond. Could have been really cool to have a sequel, especially since unlike Shinobi 2002, this story had a bit more to go and iterate upon its gameplay comparetively. The vibe of this era is unmatched though, all of the Sega Overworks games have it and mysteriously so does Bujingai(despite being more mystical and cheerful) and Nanobreaker.

I did get and finish this game, i like it a lot, even the extra beasts transformation, though...they could have made a better set move and abilities for the alien beast, but seems that form controls gravity, it would have make it the most broken of the beast forms. Also that form, the information says, they didn't have much knowledge on the creature. Thanks for the video.
There's a YTer named Bumbles McFumbles who makes very in-depth review videos of various games and he did a video on Altered Beast too. That may help illustrate the low points and criticisms of Altered Beast. Bumbles does point out high and interesting points for sure too. Dude is generally quite balanced and explains things in fun ways.
