When they did my third spinal surgery they closed the site with the purple surgical glue (cyanoacrylate). I was told that about 2 weeks after I came home I could shower and it would peel off. It was an extremely strange feeling to be peeling off the loose bits every time but it made me realize and become more aware of the scar that was underneath. Since the glue has come off I started taking photos of the scar every few months to see the healing process. I think it's a nice reminder to see how far I've come since I was at my worst.
Ahh, it's glue, is it? I just had a throat op and it's all purple. Thought it might've been iodine or something. I'm also getting the sleepies from my surgery - surprising how you can get flattened by it so easily, and when you don't expect it, like the next day and things like that.
So good to hear from you! Wow four weeks already! You are doing so well! Thanks for the binder update. Another great update!
Hiya! I'm 4 weeks post-op radical breast reduction top surgery. Super real feels!
Hi Dara, Wonderful that recovery is going well.
