It’s funny how she was in the right ball park with thinking that “pharmacy” sounds like “mercy” and mercy is a healer so it must have something to do with healing.
Man, this video is amazing! So well picked, presented, translated, right amount of context, knowing which points to include, where to start each part, timing .... - I love well edited videos so much. ^^ (not over the top, not just segments of livestreams either...)
these language apps really need tpo be tailored more for whatever native language the person speaks. A lot of difficutly japanese people face with english is pronunciation, especially with consanance. Like any word that starts with R is going to get confusing, words that start with Th are just hard, and certain weird combinations of letters (like ough) are really hard to get a grasp of and need to be tackled before you start learning the language. There's no direction on "Hey, we noticed you're having a hard time saying 'that', let's break it down for you" to help you actually correctly pronouce whatever you're reading other than what you're hearing.Which isn't a very good way to learn how to pronounce something in a different language.
Man, it must be so hard to learn when you cannot hear the differences in pronunciation well.... (I was lucky my first languages uses mostly a superset of English sounds. I have no idea how I would've learned it, if my first language was so phonetically different... like Japanese is.)
All hilarity aside, that program/site/whatever is actually pretty cool. It'd be cool to have something like that for English speakers to learn, say, Spanish.
(man, I'm sorry. So many comments. I'm flooding this comment section at this point... I'm just excited and tired. Sorry, I should go to sleep ^^ - but man, this video is great! It made me very happy. :D and Ars is great ^^)
Oh god, the part with café had to be really annoying for her, it's not even technically English, it's just an adopted English word that most of us already know. I feel like that was a bit unfair of Duolingo lol
it's not gee it's gee (g, j) it's not death it's death (this) it's not your it's your (you're) ... XDXD How I pity anyone who has to learn this crazy language XD

I love her clip where she's too introverted and anxious in a voice call. It's adorable, painful, and relatable. :D
Her giggling is very contagious.

It’s funny how she was in the right ball park with thinking that “pharmacy” sounds like “mercy” and mercy is a healer so it must have something to do with healing.

Out of all her attempts at English words, I gotta say that FAQ was pretty well pronounced.

It's Duolingo, and it has had a Spanish course for English speakers long before it had an English course for Japanese speakers.
Why would a lawyer be bussy
Hmm

i wish i was the desk kun at the time
ars' english will never not be adorable
O.O I thought only natives have problem with distinguishing "you are" and "your"
"How do they differ?"
- This is what happens, when you learn from examples, instead of tables.
- Also: the program should explain her mistakes, smh...
bussy
The zap also sounded a lot like "UZA!" which means "Annoying" in Japanese
MOAR
Pretty cool that Ars is a Megadeth fan
2:54 ato zato ! XDXD awwww :D

My mom works as a healer 😂😂 ars is too cute lmao
Oh god, the part with café had to be really annoying for her, it's not even technically English, it's just an adopted English word that most of us already know. I feel like that was a bit unfair of Duolingo lol
