Brioche and Stitch love their dad so much! You can really see how they adore you. ❤
I loved!!! The tour of your shop with Knit 365. It is amazing❤️❤️❤️
Ooh call it terrazzo kaleidoscope! Love that shawl
I love your process, projects, & videos…❤
I am in love with the dog sweaters! I'm already addicted to socks.
Thanks again for your inspiration and beautiful unique designs. I would call your latest shawl “Harlekijn” ( “Harlequin” because the triangels remind me of Harlequin fabric
How about the name „Try angles“ for your new shawl,Stephen? It is a word combination of the verb to try, the word angles - there are so many different angles and it combines the shapes found in your shawl design, triangles. The name could also motivate us to try different angles/directions in life! Try angles❤
The new shawl looks like sails.
Super excited about the new Dog Collection ❤ Perfect timing🥰
That was awesome .....you are such a breath of fresh air and your passion and love of the wooly things in life is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your world with us.......love from Down Under xox
I may knit a tiny one..My cat loves sweaters because he thinks it's going to let Lim outside he walks on a leash
LOVE LOVE LOVE the dog sweaters!!! Hoping you will eventually come out with a hard cover dog sweater book for my coffee table!
Stitch and Brioche are practically perfect in their cuteness and in every way. OMG I can't even with the pup knits ❤
A pullover hoodie pattern would be amazing!
I have a cattle dog (which, they are usually bulky, barrel-shaped dogs but mine has a deep chest and a itty bitty waist!) and she LOVES to "get pretty". When she sees her other mom and I put on scarves or bandanas on, she sits nicely and waits to get her own bandana put on. When I first learned to knit, I made her her first knit bandana and she really seemed to love it! I cannot wait to make her a pupknit sweater! I personally have a pretty minimalist, dark-colored style but I love bright colors and knitting with them is so fun, but I just know I won't gravitate to those knits in my wardrobe. So, I'm extra stoked to get to have fun with colors and "wacky" styles for my dog instead!!
"Where's the moment?" This one line was so light and deep at the same time. I don't know if you intended it that way, but love it.
So many things to say! The Dustland Cardigan definitely NEEDS pockets or at the very least you can possibly post a tutorial on cutting in those pockets!
I used to have a fear of socks and sweaters, I’ve since made both. Just finished a test knit cardigan and I’m currently actively working on a hat for my supervisor, socks for my sister and an Amigurumi Bull for my sisters friends grandson!
As for the name of that beautiful triangular shawl, you should call it “The Triangular Tiled Modular Shawl”
Have a wonderful day!
Big feet, big socks, big heart❣️. Thank you for all you do for us.
A hooded scarf in Dustland pattern would be wonderful. Love the socks patterns too. You provide such inspiration.
Stephen, I love your enthusiasm for knitting and designing! The dog sweaters are adorable❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Never change! Your designs and ideas inspire us to think outside the box also
I also “ blackmail” my dogs with treats to get them to do what I want them to do.
What about the Try-Angular since you are trying out how the angles fit in the project? I am very excited for this one! It reminds me of greek or roman bathhouse dekorations.
Your new modular shawl reminds me of the traditional outfit of a court jester!
Brioche and Stitch are just, a huge cuteness overload!!! Love you Westie💛
So happy you included sizes for larger dogs!!!! Thank you
Stitch and Brioche are too adorable.
Also, my 4 pound Chihuahua is a girl she’s a princess so I’d like to put ruffles on the back side so I’d love to have a girly pattern for a girl she’s extra small
I want a puppy penguono! Also, your description of all of the different dog body types sent me ☠️ 😂
Love this episode! The shawl kinda reminds me of the terrazzo tiles you can find in fancier bathrooms. I’ll see if I have some time to knit a sweater for my cats. They’ll wear them for sure during our walks :)
Slipstravaganza Sweater PLZ!!! Because That's What I Want On My Chilly Cat 🥰 BA-LA-KLA-VA But I Will Take Baklava!?😅
I Really Love Your Face Stephen, And I Appreciate Your Work.
Thanks For Redeeming This Day Post-Work. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love this. And next Fall, my dog Boo 🐕 will love his new sweater. You’re such an inspiration to me, Stephen. I’m thankful 🥹 for finding you! ❤😊 Linda Lee from Tennessee 🎉
Dear Stephen! What an inspiration you are! I wanted to watch over and over to catch what you said about your designing adventures! Yes! Projects can "speak" to you! I remember the moment I fully realized I was a "master" at my craft... or, I'm obligated to say "passion". For us it IS a passion!
My hope is your excitement and freedom with the passion will challenge others to let projects speak to them, not stay stuck on the pithy directions! I love you, my friend! And your pups... I need a pupper in my life again!😢
Listen to you, Steven. A year ago you were talking about "not being into" sock knitting. Now you are here recommending yarns that are "perfect" for knitting socks and you're an "expert"! Wow, what kind of "drink" are we having?
I am so in love with your new shawl design and the colors 😍. Thank you for podcasting!! You brighten my day love being inspired by you. ⭐️☀️😊
I just love all the random ideas....
Don't have a dog & I'm sure my cats won't appreciate a sweater!! 😹😹😹
Love a Gansey design, so a dustland blanket would be perfect!! (Hmmmmmm, yes, scrappy dustland blankie!! It'd be reversible!! 😁)
So many ideas, so little time!!!
Thanks so much for the pup sweaters! We are really excited🐾🐾🐶
So thrilled to see the words "Great Dane" in the striped dog sweater pattern. I bought it immediately and that is what I'm making! Thank you for taking the time to include the big dogs too. Love these videos and all your patterns. Lucy, the Great Dane thanks you too.
I love your excitement it’s contagious. Thanks for sharing your passion.🤓
I knew when you got those pups they were going to be models and they were going to be famous just like daddy😂
My cat likes to wear sweaters, and I am definitely making one for her. I have some yarn left overs from twist and turns, so maybe I will make matching sweater for her. But I never made sweater for myself or for cat, hopefully it is not difficult.
“Sunny Sails” is what I see. Might be memorable name for it.😊
I think a Dustland pillow/cushion would be fun.
Painting bricks dog sweater would be amazing!
Brioche and Stitch are so adorable, as well as the the dog sweaters! I did knit a cabled dog sweater for my greyhound granddogter a few years ago. I'm looking forward to using your patterns for my two chihuahua mix rescues and my late son's mini dachshunds that live with me now.
"A head sleeping bag"!!😂😅❤
The Woofy World of Westknits ❤❤❤❤ Please do some hooman vests/slipovers/waistcoats in your wonderful patterns.
At this stage it looks to me like a sun ☀️ sunshine Shawl 😊
Thought so too
Can't wait for the pup sweaters! I love your latest modular shawl pattern, it reminded me of bunting flying in the wind and strung up for a celebration :)
As a knitter and a quilter I LOVE the patchwork modular shawls😊. There's SO much to look forward to. When I take a break from a project( because a new westknit came out) , I say it's relaxing until we play again. Love to you and the pups, y'all make my day❤❤
Silliest question: could the measurements be used for a cat sweater too? I don’t see why not, but I’m wondering if there’s something I’ve not thought of. I know a naked cat who is in need of a sweater.
Ah! I should have waited till the end to watch! Hopefully I can get a cat in a sweater!
Thank you for the dog sweater collection! I was waiting for this! In terms of ideas for a pup sweater, how about one based on your Batad pattern, with welts? Or the Metalouse shawl, or the Windschief hat ? These are all beautiful and would make beautiful dog sweaters I think!
You are amazing and so special Stephen!
Will they fit a cat?????????
Hello Stephen, your new shawl reminds me of rays of the sun - here are two suggestions for a name: "Sunrays" and "Sunburst" 🌞🌞
I think a name for the new geometric shawl could be “Scalene” . It is a type triangle. I can’t wait for its release. ❤
Love your new modular shawl design. The first name that came to mind when I saw it was “Steeplechase”.
I've only just found your channel and I loved this episode, your French Bulldogs are gorgeous dogs and obviously much loved.
I think i need a dog
Yes! Pockets!!
Dustland! Diagonal scarf, mittens, fingerless mitts, purse/bag, jacket with shawl collar, pillows, table runner(?), vest! Circular shawl!
Darn it, now I think I need a dog just so I can make pup sweaters! My cats would kill me... 🤔
Absolutely adorable!! Hello Stephen, Brioche and Stitch!!
You are a genius ❤
I love watching you and how much you love knitting and yarn. Somedays I just love watching you to make me smile.
Stephen-- please keep up doing your Woolly World of Westknits -- I started listening to you as I knit and now I’m addicted-- I need to have you talking knitting while I knit. I love it so much that I keep going through from episode 1 to the newest one. More- More-More please!!!!!!! Love your KAL’s too!!!!! Thank you for all you do for us!!!!!
I love the simplicity of your "Boneyard Shawl." It's currently high on my "to do list" because I need to learn the basics of shawl construction as well as something I can relax n learn n unwind with (lol! Did I just kinda get punny?). It looks like a wonderful piece to experiment with (as you've said) but, also a piece I can switch back and forth with other projects I may have on needles at the same time (I always have more than one iron in the fire, as they say).
But, my point is, I would love a "Boneyard Pup Sweater!" I mean Pups n Bones just kind of go paw in paw. And, might be a good first try at a pup project too.
🐩🐈🐕🐈⬛🦮🦧🐕🦺
🤟💜✌️🧶
Sweaters for cats!! Haha, no, jut kidding. But perhaps a fancy bandana? My kitty rocks a bandana.... which is a very small scarf😊
Thank you. You are very passionate. The projects are very individual.
We have been waiting for your pup sweaters! Yay! Lily @lilyludays and Henry @ohenrymulligan would love to also see some chevron pattern and some honeycomb patterns. Maybe some cute little color work, too? You make me smile, Stephen, and I feel just what you’re saying about knitting and your creative process and just your outlook on life. I just told my husband: Stephen "gets" me 🥰🤗 xo
The pup sweaters are great ❤ I would love the Painting Bricks puppified 🐕🦺🥢🧶❤️
Yes pockets on the dust land cardigan! I’m buying 3 pattens today, march socks, dustland, and the latest pup sweater! Your thought processes inspire me! And you make me smile! I loved when you asked, am I crazy? Yes, yes you are perfectly crazy and delightful! 💕🤭💕
This new shawl reminds me something about the precolombian culture... maybe the name could be something like "maya shawl"?...
Stephen thank you so much for all of you❤
The pups are so stinking cute! Balaclavable! 😂 you are so inspiring and always make me feel so uplifted after watching ❤
Love your style, Stephen. I don't knit dog sweaters, but I love your podcasting style! There should be more Stephens in this world! Much love xxx
Triangulation! Balaclavable is my new favourite word. Lol! Great doggie sweater designs. My little Prim is excited- she is 6 pounds of Maltese X fluff with a longer body- custom knits have to happen. I think Prim would like a cable sweater. I am loving the sock patterns. My son’s Himalayan cats might like to wear sweaters after they are groomed and very chilly. 💕🧶🙃
The pattern bands are like knitting ribbing. Knit two, purl two. Right? Dustland is beautiful. The button band is fabulous!!
Sailing - the yellow and brown are the sailboats and the white and blue are the clouds and sea. Beautiful!
I love this episode and would gladly take Stitch off your hands if Brioche isn’t available. The customizations are important for my puppers; a wiener dog, the dainty poodle and my plump chihuahua. Fun fun fun. And kisses to your pups!
It DOES look like a quilt with half square triangles. You could call it the HST shawl. 🤔 Love your pups and podcast. 🧶
Stephen, the only bad thing about your pup sweaters is that they're so beautiful they'll steal the attention away from our pups when out for a walk and meeting new people. Lol!
Your designs and videos are soo beautiful and fun, I could spend the entire day with you. 🥰
The triangles in your new shawl made me think of pie. The "Life's A Slice of Pie Shawl," I could eat that up! 🤟💜✌️🧶
I’ve knit a sweater for my cat!!! They hated it 😂😂
I am obsessed with these socks and pet sweaters!!!! Absolute magic!
Also what are you wearing?!?! I need a knit kit for this sweater look it is so fabulous!! ❤
Your new shawl reminds me of a sunrise.🌄
Could you do a Dustland sweater with only horizontal patterning (not a round yoke)? And then please include petite/kids' sizing...?
Thank you for saying that projects are put aside. I have a lot of sock WIPs put aside that wait for their time again. ☺🌺 Also I need to knit the painted honey comb socks ASAP! 😃🧦 Those look fantastic!
Pockets!!! If the choices include pockets, always do a pockets ^_^. And YES to the color pop outline
Fantastic episode, Stephen!
Brioche and Stitch look so happy in their new sweaters, such lively colors and patterns. I think your pups enjoyed showing off their sweaters.
I love your new yellow Painted Honeycomb socks and the yarn you described sounds perfect for that sock pattern.
Of all the Dustland pieces you've designed I like your cardigan the best. The longer length is so classic and looks very comfortable. I just don't get the current craze for cropped sweaters because they tend to hit across the widest part of one's midsection.
I did however see a quite beautiful cropped sweater crocheted and knitted by Jana of the UA-cam channel "Finnish Knitting Stories". Jana crocheted several granny squares in lovely colors and then joined them together with blush yarn into a cropped cardigan. The ribbed bottom, sleeve cuffs, and button band were all knitted in the same blush color.
Beautiful dogs in beautiful sweaters. If you feel the urge to design a Painting Bricks dog sweater Nelly would be very, very, very happy.
Love Stitch’s and Brioche’s dog sweaters! They are uber adorable and cute! You can be twinning with them!
I have knitted over three dozen dog sweaters for my grand pups! I’ve knitted dog sweaters with pockets to hold their treats and hoodies in case it rains or snow.
One problem I have is getting my daughter’s beagle mix’s long legs on and take off. She’s a rescue with beagle, chihuahua, cattle dog, mini pincher, and Yorkshire terrier). I am looking for a dog sweater design with easy to get on and take off feature, yet fit pretty snug. Where when the dog rolls over, the sweater’s buttons are not popping off.
Thanks for sharing! Keep up the wonderful design ideas! ❤❤
Love all your knits, the dogs are adorable 😍. Maybe a twist and turns dogsweater or a starflake one 😍😍. I have a chihuahua, she only wants to wear sweaters in the winter time. That means I have plenty of time to knit her one now 😂. Really like the brioche one and the bubble stitch. Happy knitting, Petra
This 4 colour shawl pattern reminds me of little windmills, maybe that's a fitting name as you live in the Netherlands...
Keep knitting!
So excited for the petknits collection, brioche and stitch look fabulous in theirs!
I think the new shawl is gorgeous and I thought maybe Helios, Travertine or Terrazza as it has the look of fancy Italian tiles.
I’d love the dust land to have a version with pockets and a hood.
All the dog sweaters you showed are gorgeous and why not add some more and puppify Aurora cabin, painting honeycombs, jigsaw puzzle and my first love the dotted rays!
Can’t wait to see the pupwalk show when all our pooches are wearing their sweaters!
I have a dog that purrs when I cuddle her.... I can hear your dog purring 😂
Oh boy! Can’t wait to see the pup patterns. I’ll be giving it a try for our Daughters greyhound and her cat…who both do wear sweaters. 🤣👏 Christmas animal sweaters here we go! So much fun!
Lovely new modular design, can't wait to see what's next. Sunshine Terrace or Solar Sail would be good names I think, but I am hungry and all I want now is a stack of cheese tramezzini ...
The triangle shapes in your new in-progress modular shawl remind me of strings of pennants used to decorate parties, festivals and fairs. (I think they call it bunting in the UK???)
The Dustland line are stellar but.. you could add one mire. Create a Dustland cardigan with angular pockets and a hood. Pleeeeaaase!!!!
Ooh I can’t wait to knit for my dogs!!!! I’m planning on knitting them a sweater for their Halloween costume
Enjoy your podcasts and little puppies. I am currently knitting the Dustland Cardigan and absolutely love it 💕 I was thinking it would be a nice pattern for a vest/tank top. I could see some of your other patterns for this type of garment. And no sleeves to knit 😃🎽
Stephen, just love you and your pooches! Such cute sweaters. You are so enthusiastic and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your passion for knitting with us.
Just returned from first time in Amsterdam. Wonderful city and your shop was beautiful! Got some yarn colors for maybe honeycomb shawl or socks or any of your knits😊 I can’t decide as they are all beautiful.
well clearly there needs to be a painted bricks dog sweater. And I wonder how you could to a shawlography-inspired dog sweater...
If I had a poochy to knit for I’d want the Dustland to match my Dustland. The texture look more sophisticated. 😊
