The problem now is most condo townhomes are almost as much as some freeholds. This is where it becomes harder for people to choose. I mean if you pay 900k for a condo townhome but can get a freehold for 1.1 you may just end up spending that extra 200k....I find condo townhomes used to be a bit more reasonably priced now with the way the market is going its really changing almost month to month

thanks for your comment! The best way to gauge which style of home you should go with is keep in mind that a 100K loan from the bank will cost you approximately $400 per month based on todays mortgage rates. So if you have paint fees of $400 or so, the condo townhome should be about 100K less than the freehold. If it's more, and with the same features (bedrooms, bathrooms, etc) then great. If there's less than 100K price difference then definitely go freehold.
The point of my video is that buyers need to be open minded and consider all options that are available. Sometimes condo towns provide better value than freeholds.

@@rightcondos personally I find the condo towns look nicer honestly some of the freeholds are not always nice inside. some modern condo towns are very nice, the other factor is some condo towns are closer to the city which can make a difference. The way I see it is if a condo town has say maintenance of 500 that could be say 60k if you live there for 10 years which is not too bad. some people end up spending hundreds of thousands more on a freehold. I agree people have to be open minded esp in this kind of a market!!!

What an unappealing way to approach that differentiation to clients.
