I just very recently discovered these cars. I want one so bad I can't stand it ! Been thinking about a V6 project for quite a while and this car seems to be the answer.
My BBK 73mm TB arriving tomorrow 🤘🏼 I know it won’t add anything significant but it wouldn’t hurt either. I guess the only last things to go would be 3.73’s and the DS since I won’t be able to do ported intakes. At that point I think performance mods are done. Thanks to your channel and advice on the 3.7 fb page it’s helped tremendously. Thanks for always being 100 and helping the 3.7 community!
trtlepwr I said it won’t add anything significant like a tune or any of the other mods I have. It doesn’t mean it’s useless. That being said I got it because I have the money to spend on it. It is what it is.
better gains in performance...duhhh... 3.55, 3.73, 4.10 gears or an xpipe are significantly better for 3.7s over a throttle body... especially if you're going for performance
I'm disappointed I didn't find your channel earlier because I've gone through 5 or 6 different tunes before finally finding MPT, and it makes such a big difference. Especially since I have an auto. I got it dyno tuned when all the bolt ons were added and it made good power, but the anemic trans always bugged me. I have a video of mine up on my page with the dyno tune putting down 310 at the wheels. It made 307 with BAMA and 290'ish with Unleashed. Stock was 242. Waiting for another dyno day to see what the MPT tune will do. Not really expecting more peak power, but the torque curve is what I'm interested in seeing.I've put the FRPP 3.73 gears in it with carbon friction plates for the diff since I posted that video. I'm going for a build for HPDE track days instead of drag racing. Next upgrade will be Eibach KB-spec coilovers.
Interesting. I have a GT with the 4.6 3V (got it six weeks ago. first 'stang, very excited xD), and from what I've heard the stock 3.7 V6 are pretty darn even with the 4.6 V8. I haven't gotten a chance to test my car against one yet, but that's what the numbers suggest. Goes without saying your V6 would smoke my 'lil 3v if you're chomping Coyotes on 4.10s, though - Coyotes take my 3v quite handily as you might guess! Anyway - have you ever had yours dynoed/do you have any idea what sort of WHP/WTQ you're getting from your beast? Assuming you hit 60mph around when you shift into 3rd, it sounds like you're hitting 0-60 in a little under 4 seconds - 3.8 maybe!
I'm thinking of procharging my 2017 3.7 but I'm worried about the driveshaft. I know it has problems over 130mph (which I wont be doing) but will it handle the 400ish rwhp from a procharger kit? I haven't seen anyone mention it with boosted applications and unfortunately no single piece driveshaft exists for the 2015-17 manual 3.7s
Like i said the first time i have owned all three mustangs. Don't hate on none off them i prefer v8 mustang im a hard core mustang guy i dont nock what you v6 guys are doing at the end off the day its a stang it cost more to up grade v6 and 4 bangers to me. But we all have a different preference i would like to see more vids off mustangs vursing other competition
I have BBK Longtubes, BBK Catted Xpipe, Magnaflow catbacm exhaust, and roush CAI installed on my car. What mod would you recommend next? P.S. Im tryna go fast
David Calvo yea I just looked em up my question now though between the V6 4.56, 4.10, and 3.73 gears what are the best for straight up power and acceleration time
4:49 you and I both know having auto 5.0s that if he had a tire like you then that would have gone much differently. Still though nice kill. He spun baddddd
i was on a tire with no backseats and muff delete in my 5.0 skinnies also and went 12.9 @ 110. a .1 reaction time difference would have made that a heads up race
Brother just wanted to put this question out there for you since you the king of the 3.7s,, let me start by saying that I dont race that much or at all i dont go to the track I just race with friends or random people on the street,, so i made the mistake of getting 20" wheels,, and i feel like no matter what i do the car is still gonna be slow as hell,, as of right now I have K&N CIA, X-pipes, Magnaflow mufflers, cat delete and bama race tune,, what would you recommend me to do??? And another question at what RPM would you recommend me to launch?? IM AWFUL at launching i did a 4.5s 0-60 once and never again i just got close to 5 seconds,, any tips bro??
Z'aXXy Gayming the bigger wheels are killing acceleration. You're basically negating the power the other mods make. This is why we go to smaller, lighter weight wheels; to reduce rotational mass and weight, which aids in transmitting power to the ground.
ok so like i said before i know that is the reason why its slower then before, im asking if there is something to do other than changing the wheels since i dont race that much and 20 looks real cute hahaha
@@trtlepwr not necessarily true, if he put racing rims as they're lighter than conventional big rims, 20's are not hard to push, once the car gets used to them , street racing rims is the way to go, you wont notice no extra weight after about 1 month as i thought the same thing myself in the past so i decided to try it i have a pair of Ruff racing blades sitting on 255/35/20" bands on my 2014 CVS 3.7 premium/performance /pony pk.they are thin but if you keep up to 45-50 lbs of air in them they wont drag or feel sluggish at all, in fact i get 19 mpg, and hit 95 mph and then so on an extreme kick in the quarter mile.
Spurr my 2012 3.7L made 305HP stock compared to a 2012 5.0L, 412HP stock. (Speaking for myself) The tune with the bolt on parts helps a lot more then people would admit. It also helps when some 5.0’s have slower reacts time and or can’t drive sticks well. But just depends on the driver and what all mods.

That motor is probably making 350hp on it's best day if it's a stone stock long block. That being said those cyclone mills take a fucking pounding.Ive had coyotes, ecoboosts, I still build traditional turbo small block Fords, but I'm equally thrilled about the 14 3.7 I just picked up.Reminds me of my old Taurus sho days. For around 1200.00 carefully placed dollars, not including suspension, drive shaft or light weight wheels you can easily get these sweet little gems into the mid 12s or better if your a wheel man.

I always come back to this video, crazy how a 3.7 performs

Stock 5.0’s in need of driver mods 😂

dude ..can i put a high performance cam shaft to give it that old school muscle car sound?
Do you think I can take a stock 5.0 with my s550 v6 with only a muffler delete if I add a tune?
Not even close
Very motivating

How much did the total build cost
I thought you had 4.10 at one point in time
