If you all remember the Mutta walked on all fours in the last game, but here in JWE2 it walks on two legs and has hands just like its real life counterpart, which makes it much more unique for the type of dinosaur that it is.
@@AllosaurusJP3 Yes, I didn't like that it was being treated as just a basic hadrosaur/iguanodont, when it actually is unique, cause it's a rhabdodont which are iguanodonts that don't really get a lot of spotlight in media, which like Mutta, all walked on two legs.
I'm so glad the iguanodon, and all the Ceratopsians have returned, the iguanodon skin you showcased definitely reminds me of the ones from Walking with Dinosaurs when they're walking along the beach. Also the Jurassic World design for Stegosaurus looks much better in texture and skin compared to the first Evolution.
Iguanadon was definitely my favorite of the first game with all of its unique animations which I really hope it kept and hopefully Frontier built upon. I’m honestly curious if it can still fight medium carnivores like it could in the first game.
I really love all of the size changes. It really helps to further differentiate the dinosaurs and it’ll make enclosures so much more interesting to look at
... does muttabara have a unique rig now? It looks more like a rhabodontid rather than sharing the edmontosaurus rig, which is brilliant. Super unique group, and love how its seemingly fully bipedal, as rhabodontids were like giant dryosaurus. So I can see it becoming one of my favourites very quickly
It definitely makes Mutta feel more unique than cause if I remember correctly rhabdodont forelimbs were too short to support quadruped locomotion and they also had hands like the Mutta does now in JWE2, and this could opening for modding animals like Camptosaurus into JWE2.
It definitely does. It’s worth noting that it doesn’t walk on all fours now like it did before and it has longer legs. Looks like it’s running the Parasaurolophus rig to be honest
I can't put my finger on it exactly, but something about the dinosaurs posture, the way they carry themselves, their profiles and overall body shapes just look better, smoother, more natural than in JWE1.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that Camarasaurus, Chasmosaurus, Homalocephale, Archaeornithomimus and Iguanodon are back. They’re my favourite herbivores in the game.
I think it is great that the stegosaurs have been downsized. In the last game they were all way too big. We also have to remember that the stegosaurs may look small but I think next to a human they will be about the same size.
I love seeing the size changes! The Ankylosaurids (or whatever they are) are so much better skin-wise, but I loved seeing Crichtonsaurus be an actual tiny-boi compared to others. Sad that Euoplo doesnt have the little happy hop at the end of its exit animation, but whatre you gonna do. But all-in-all, Im super happy with everything returning (especially my favorites Iguanodon and Dracorex) and everything thats new, thanks for these early videos BiS!
Can we just talk about the Dracorex skin for a second? It kinda looks like the schleich figure and it’s absolutely stunning! Nice to see my boy get some truly great skins
The group hatchery exit animations are so, so cool. I really like how the individual dinosaurs leave the hatchery at different speeds, some slower and more deliberate, some fast and reckless. It makes each one feel somewhat more unique in personality, from the moment they arrive in your paddock, even if it is all a pre programmed animation.
Thank you for this! They look amazing~ I gotta say the data collector in me would love to also see their hatchery stats so I can have my spreadsheets ready to go by launch x)
Can u make a vid showcasing each dinos skins and reviewing them like u did in JWE1. Ps don’t mind if you’ll have to do multiple vids for this since there’s many dinos and now marine reptiles
I hope for a mod that will permit multiple/different skins for the hatch. I usually try to have each animal in my park different-looking from each other, but doing so mean missing 2+ hatches and stick to the 1 at a time.
I feel like this game won't be complete till we see Therizinosaurus. I really hope we get that dinosaur in a DLC pack at some point. (And of course, I'm always going to keep asking for a sarcosuchus or deinosuchus even though I know there's little hope).
I think the only one animation I noticed looked actually shared amongst any of the exit animations for the herbivores is between Nigersaurus and Amargasaurus. Nigersaurus seemed to also do that same little “Hey! Wait for me!” trot that Amargasaurus does.
Question, do all species feel unique and more like actual animals in this game? This will determine if I buy it since it was in my opinion the last games worst flaw.
From what I’ve seen, this has been refined and has become 100x better, the creature now interact with each other and have unique animations when interacting with each other and fighting
Yes. Almost all creatures have some unique animations, get realistic injuries from dominance fights, have very accurate sizes, and most importantly, can be put with other species in an enclosure as long as territories don't overlap
Glad to see the returning dinos back, I was expecting some were cut or left out for a future dlc, but all and all this is cool, hope to see the carnivores be next
SO when the Huayangosaurus came out, my first thought was "aww, no hop?" then you immediately said the same thing and i couldnt help but laugh at that lol
Did anyone else notice the second euoplocephalus came out with a broken right front leg that magically got better once it got away from the hatchery? It was hilarious and I had to rewind the video twice to make sure I was seeing correctly lol.
Y'know, Maiasaura remains one of my favourite dinosaurs from JWE1 because I feel really sorry for them that you don't really like them. Its kinship of the unloved. I love you Maiasaura even if no-one else does.
Is this a new thing for JWE2, for the hatcheries, where when you’re ready to release the dinosaurs, there’s more than one meaning they’re in a group setting, and is this showing their realistic size
Sinoceratops became one of my favorite ceratops since I've discovered him in Fallen Kingdom, they were so beautiful and cute in the JWE1, and here they couch like a dog! I think I'm going to love them more even!
I’m just completely changing my comment altogether..every other ankylosaurid and stegosaurid aside from stegosaur and ankylosaur changed size..there is absolutely no wonder why people got confused when the tiny stegosaurid appeared for the first time..cause there’s more than three that got small! At least they look cutter this way!
Despite getting a little surprised seeing some of the sizes I'm not upset because it's to match the real life sizes of the animals instead of them all being the same size
