Story:
My neighbour noticed something red in his palm tree, and he climbed it and found a drone (neighbour probably lost battery and it fell into a tree because the battery was dead) and gave it to me (he knows I like rc’s) and now I have a drone (had to buy a controller)

try a real drone . mavic pro.
Started flying these addictive things with cheap Syma products. You'll find they are plasticcy and cheap, but they take some heavy battering and good to learn on.

I just got one of these type of drones today. It's a X5UW-D " FPV Real - Time" So slightly different features " Am Not entirely sure what the differences are", I note it has steerable camera, but does not come with extra battery or SD Card. Great review, hope I have some fun, with it. I don't think it uses Wifi, not sure what the benefits are, seems you may be having problems with the Wifi Version.

Great video,i have the syma x8hw and was wondering what you think of that model, i dont know if you already did a video of the syma x8hw, if you did not are you going to review it?
guys i need your recommendations. i have a syma x11 and a attop sky dreamer plus. i rly like both of them even tho they fly different. i like fast and zippy but still stable quads a lot. i dont know what else to get. my price range is 35 bucks so not too much there. something with a camera woul be cool but not a nessecity. but its pretty easy to find quads with cams in that price area as the syma x5uw is around there
Looks like it wouldn’t be too difficult to hack it to take a standard battery connector and use decent third party batteries.

Looking at the video for the 20th time, and owning the same drone, I noticed that the lights blink at more of a heartbeat rate while recording. When the battery is low it blinks constantly. Awesome video, you taught me how to fly my drone and I still refer to this video if I have a questions. Thanks D.

I got this drone for my birthday and it was the first one I've experienced. Unfortunately mine just keeps going up and doesn't hover. Do I have to do something with the trimming?

Well with my one that i got from the tip shop for $5 which works perfectly i can nearly fly it so high you can only see a tiny black dot and it still has decent control. I've always used the syma fly app for it but it always freezes and really laggy
I got one of these for Christmas and had almost no clue on how to fly it. I started to get pretty good at it except I could never get the app or the camera to work and had no clue what any of the buttons were except the auto take off and flip button and how to maybe fly around a bit without crashing after I got good at it except I kind of just tossed it aside. I just learned so much about it and now I can't wait to get it charged back up and try out all the new features I learned about. The trimming thing is also where I had a problem so that was awesome you showed how to fix that. This was an amazing review and thank you for all the help. Keep up the good work. I do have one question though. Do you think I can strap or attach a action camera to this drone and still be able to fly with it?
I don't think it could lift anything more than what it comes equipped with but the Syma 8X C actually duct tape t phone to and flew around

Just got mine today. It came with 2 batteries. I struggle with control. The Manual says nothing about trimming the way you explained it. When my batteries charge I'll try again.
Wifi? Does the wifi control the drone or is it used just to stream the video? I'm guessing that wifi may also control the drone as you show controlling it with the phone, but also can use the controller which I guess uses it's own 2.4G . That would seem a lot of work & power required to Control the video stream & flight direction, along with the 2.4G Just curious how it all works & would I get a better performance just using/buying an X5UC
What is the range of this drone
My phone doesnt want to pair with the camera on the drone? When I connect to the Wi Fi and press go on the syma app. I just get set to a phone version of the controller. There is a camera icon at the top left, when i press it nothing happens? What can I do to fix this?

Great video! I just had mine out for a little today, this bird fly's very well, very stable. Con's, the camera sucks, and the instruction's also suck. Example: page 8 switching off aircraft method 3: When the aircraft is in flight, press the B button, the aircraft fell to the ground and slowly closed the aircraft." What the hell does that even mean"?.....Anyway's keep flyin.

Good to have a remote controller. Some drones may only have remote control via a mobile phone, saving on manufacturing costs.

Yes, excellent video for a beginner llike me! One question on the gyro setup, I see in the owners manual the both control sticks down and to the right, but I don’t see where it tells you to also go both sticks down and to the left for setup? I see sticks down and left for a headless situation?

Mine came with 2 batteries but No sd card. I haven't seen to many products that come with an SD card ever.
WiFi range sucks. Like u said u must keep it close by and the video cuts in and out. Ur better off adding a small camera to do FPV. $18 FPV on Amazon.

So I got the exact same drone flew it twice then started giving trouble where now 2 sides of the blades are lifting off and the 2 other blades aren't. Help!
I got mine for Christmas and just flew it for the first time. I think I did pretty well but I had a scare when I tried to fly it really high and I tensed up and lost control and it went above the neighbors' house. I got it back though.

Hi Dustin, thank you for the review, I just bought this drone, and having problem getting the headless mode right, i long press the right lever and hear several beeps, but when flying, it went all over the place, i did both lever to the thright and to the left trimming, but still seem to not work properly, any help is appreciated.

Um yeah just so you know thats not the X5UW-D. The X5UW-D has the optical flow sensor, the X5UW does not. Youre reviewing the X5UW
If you dont have phone service will the fpv not work?
It will still work. Phone service does not matter. Only uses direct wifi link between device and drone. So if your device has wifi antenna your fine.
