I’ve seen The Night Agent (season 1) & really enjoyed it, can’t wait for season 2. But somehow, I missed The Recruit, (season 1) so I’ll double back this weekend & watch it. Thanks for your reviews & for reminding me that I occasionally miss an excellent series in my favorite genre.
I checked my Netflix and I watched all of season 1 of this show and don't even remember if I liked it... Even after watching a recap I barely remember it. Hong Chau was the only one that stood out playing the WH Chief of Staff. I think I'm gonna pass on this season 2. If they brought back Bodyguard with Richard Madden I'd totally watch that, and I finally finished The Diplomat season 2, and just watched Slow Horses. I'm tapped out on these kinds of shows. I've been really diggin' The Pitt on Max. It might be the best medical/hospital drama since Soderbergh's The Knick. I highly recommend it. Noah Wyle crushes in it. And I like the setup of how each episode is one hour of their shift, starting at 7am. (Kinda like 24 was I think?? Although I never watched it?) Thanks for the review dude as always!! Edit: I don't even know how I forgot to put this in there but to add to that list of spy shows I JUST watched the the finale of The Agency last night, with fassbender, Jeffrey Wright & Richard gere, and that show was awesome. So yeah definitely I'm all spied out for a while)
Season one was better. Rose knows too much. Poor was annoying with her family. Rose is not a trained at all. The black agent does not have any other people besides that one agent. The ending was eh. The bad guy played knows too much. Too much plot armor for the main guy.. Now the agent is a puppet to the main bad guy and they feel our hero can beat him. Agent is better than the Recruit
I liked it for the most part. Rose was annoying at some times. I was disappointed in the head of the Iranian security, he was built up to be someone not to be f%×ked but at the end he gets beat up 3 times in 10 mins by Petter, then he gets beat up by 3 regular dudes at the "political" rally.
Noor character was annoying, she pressured Pete and Catherine to get her family to the u.s without consulting with the WHOLE family. Her brother wanted to stay in Iran. Every time Pete apologized to Noor I rolled my eyes because it was her fault for not informing the brother her plans.
I felt the same. More annoying is her mother. She didn’t even inform her son that they were leaving to USA and then she got angry with the CIA agent for killing his son
Thank you for another solid reveiew. It will be great if you include comments around the sound design and atmos experience in your review. We watch these shows and movies in our home theatres. Any comments around the same will help us set correct expectations. Thanks again.
I had the exact opposite opinion. I struggled with the first episode of the Recruit and stopped by the second episode. Maybe I'll pick it up again but the bumpeling idiot shows are not my thing.
Worst acting ever in Season 2, lazy writing, bad production and awful directing. It was like a free YT movie. Can’t believe they did all that after season 1 was quality.
Finishes S2 I liked but absolutely hated Rose's character and the brother that got him killed cos of his silly actions. The writer and creative team needs to work on couple of character but overall The Night Agent S2 is bingeable.
It must have really gone downhill I imagine after watching this review I imagine he would have given season one 4 out 5 couches. With so much to watch on tv still undecided if I will watch.

I preferred season one, they seem to be going through the motions for two people who are supposed to care they do not show it

Great review❤

I'm totally a "Night Agent" fan. The "Recruit" is more of an action-comedy, and while it OK, it's no way in the league of "Night Agent".

I prefer Night Agent but I'll be watching the Recruit as well
I dont think season 2 has the suspense that the 1st season had its actually pretty disappointing
This didn't grab us, but Recruit was a hoot! ;)
I had the exact opposite opinion. I struggled with the first episode of the Recruit and stopped by the second episode. Maybe I'll pick it up again but the bumpeling idiot shows are not my thing.
what the other government worker series that’s getting a second season called?
The Recruit
I like both but The Recruit gets the nod because the lead is more entertaining.
I didnt care about Rose at all this season I skipped all her scenes with Peter. Season 1 was way better too much side stories
I'm watching this one!
Recruit all day long, great fun. Never finished night agent S1 as got bored.
Was the opposite. I rarely stop watching a show but the recruit was so bad I just gave up
Season one is way better. The scientist couldn’t make it purple
Very Nice TY
Did you watch yet? Curious to hear what you thought!
@@MoviesAndMunchies I seen season 1, I remember liking it but it didn't stick in my brain lol. I will watch season 2 tho, soon.

I was thinking of The Night Manager. Never watched Night Agent.
The Night Manager is excellent! I think season 2 is supposed to come out this year.
@MoviesAndMunchies I'll look forward to your review (if you choose to do one). Thanks for the content!

I'm trying to like season 2 but I can't!!!
I only got to episode 2 of the second season of The Night Agent. It's way too crappy for me to watch anymore of it. It's a really bad show.

Awesome!!
