I love this song. This one and the ending credit song for Iceborne I use for my theme song for my room. Even though its supposed to encourage you, for some reason it makes me cry too. I dont know why.
I feel that, I think it’s because for whatever reason this song carries a feeling of “ending” whether it’s for playing at the credits or the song itself
Same thing happened at the end of 4U especially, every Monster Hunter ending to be honest (obviously we don't always stop playing after the end credits) but the ending songs always invoke this awesome feeling of journeys end and triumph and like you just lived an entire life separate from your real life - very emotional.
Does anyone else notice that Xeno’jiiva’s theme borrows motifs from this song? And how it borrows from this song called _”Guidance”?_ Specifically 1:45, it’s the start to Xeno’jiiva’s theme
I’m nearly a year late to this, BUT just wanted to point out they’ve always done this throughout the series and it’s actually a much more common occurrence than you might think. For instance, Alatreon’s theme references and borrows the melody of the third generation theme song, “To One With Life”. Ceadeus’ (final monster in the offline mode of the same generation) theme, “Moonquake” makes a *much* more obvious reference to the melody of the ending theme of that game. Fatalis’ theme references Kokoto Village, as well. This doesn’t occur with just Elder Dragons, though. Nargacuga’s theme shares leitmotifs with Pokke Village, and Zinogre’s theme doing the same with Yukomo Village. There’s a TON more that I’m not even beginning to list that appear in just World/Iceborne, too. Anyway. You probably knew a bunch of these now, but figure I’d leave this comment here in case anyone else wanted to jump down the rabbit hole of researching the fantastic music of this series. ^^
I haven’t played mh since mh3p,MHW is a whole different experience to me, I have spent 2500hrs on mhw, it was the happiest time, I have met many friends/hunters. Thank you so much.
early in 2020 myself and my friend who i shared MHW and MHWI with picked up the game again and we spent about a half hour in my Iceborne room chilling and listening to this while chatting on VC i'll never forget the feeling of actual companionship i felt with her then, even though we were timezones apart this is a very good game.
I love this song. Years after playing mhw when I hear this song it gives me such happy colourful memories of my mhw days with my children playing by my side😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Capcom, take all my money guys. ❤ Turn the music on while you read: I cried to the story when you think that the 1st fleet arrived 40 years ago and you play a member of the 5th this means that the guild send 1 new generation every 10 years. I have way too much empathy and thinking that the first guys who arrived were stuck in there working hard for 40 years of their lives without being able to reach back their homeland where their family awaits for them, and in the end they can finally go back home, but no, they all decide to stay together on a new journey (iceborne) because this became their new homes (some even born on this land, so that’s literally all their life like the commander’s son) and decide to continue on the new mission for the guild ❤ fckin make me cry as the guy who wait for 40 years in Interstellar while they spend 2 hours on the water planet. It’s a whole life of service and dedicated to the guild, like a samurai spirit. Those guys are all pixels but their story touched my heart. Especially all the elders from the 1st fleet. I bought the game D-1 back at its release on PS4, and recently bought it again on PC gamebase + Iceborne (that I never played before, and just reached own land territory yesterday after 80 hours (I don’t even count my PS4 hours back there…) and you guys deserve that I bought the game 2 times ! Love you Capcom ❤ Thank you for being a japanese company (you think your own way) who make incredible games and this one is full of poetry. 本当にありがとうございます。
For us 1st fleet, 5th gen is kinda reboot of the series. Like, no one ever thought that Kaname go all chips in when he decided to make Alatreon and Fatalis first kill as the canon in 5th gen. And that tells how proud Kaname with this game.

@@TheDevilDucker i believe its *translated* to French, and then *transliterated* to japanese, meaning they only take the syllables and pronounce them in Japanese.
I would love to see some characters return if they ever focus on story again. And maybe this time let us choose our handler if those come back too plus what type of hunter (human or wyverian) plus a chance at taming a monster to ride and fight with but if it dies then you’d have to tame another. That would be something interesting to add in a future game. Edit: I should add that the riding feature in mhw wasn’t limited to the monsters that your palico communicates with (jagarus, kestadon, giros & those little beasts in the elders recess) but if you kept getting on those apceros, aptonoth, kelbi and even the mosswine) simply by breaking them (remounting them until you don’t fall off) but you didn’t have control of their movements so it’d be cool to have that option to tame and ride passive monsters, they just wouldn’t fight.

Holy shit yess! No wonder I always felt a certain attachment to this song! I never knew that was the reason!!
I wanna say every main Monster Hunter game has had a song by the same singer for the ending, the one in Tri is just used as a boss theme as well.
They were all made by the same artist, Yuko Komiyama, who also made tri's opening.
Same singer
The same artist made both this and Ode to Life.
