Part of me thinks the reason is not to help the players but to drain away excess arena credits that players ave stocked up. I would not be surprised if there was an arena credit spending event coming up in a few weeks.

When they added all those characters to the Arena Store I took screenshots because I thought someone at $copely had f***ed up royal and I wanted to have proof it happened before they patched it. I still think someone messed up, but now they are trying to save face and say it was an intentional change.
On a side note: I followed your OML videos. My required teams are close to the ones you used. I actually had fun spending 4 hours since the launch of the event trying to get 6y. As long it'd possibly I was going to keep trying. I'll probably ever get a 7y though lol.
Congrats man! I actually like the difficulty of the event but I also see all the problems people have with it. Happy to see others like me who enjoy the struggle though!

The current pool party event is week 3, that needs the age x energy. So i guess next will as well? Or they just dont double check their work. One of those.
I’ve been trying but without investing EXTREMELY BIG into the knowhere 3 piece it’s just not possible on higher difficulties. It’s a terrible design and I’ve passed that feedback back on to
I really wish these CC would stop making these videos with their "alt" accounts. NO ONE CARES.... Majority of those shards in the arena store don't apply to the veteran players and end game content doesn't apply to newer players anyways....

If you started a brand new account today, this event would unlock Gambit and Quicksilver on day one. Pretty cool.
There is a new player code for gambit. 3 star. Working as of 2 weeks ago. But it is quite good.
