Well done and thanks for all the effort. I'm really interested but I miss a tutorial teaching from start to finish how to develop a project in Bonsai. Thanks
Hi Dani, I am a bit behind on the updates so I will be redoing the start to finish beginner project in about 3 videos time, you can wait for that or generally the principles from the older step by step project remain
I really don't get it. They improved everything except the core user experience. We can't even draw a wall the same way we draw a cube, we need to click buttons, input number do rotate, it is a nightmare to actually try and experience designing. Even android home modeling apps does good jobs on it. 😢
I feel your pain, but you are not seeing the whole picture. Blender has a unique way of adding and controlling objects with the 3D cursor and has never had proper drawing tools. If you come from other 'architecture' software, this might feel wrong, but it’s not actually as bad as it might seem at first. I would also like to see more intuitive drawing-based tools in Blender, but that might require a bigger overhaul of the whole modeling system.
@@neildavies43 Drawing a wall quickly is not issue in architecture softwares right now. It is the closedness, price and lack of development. In some cirmuntances also the lack of freedom in Design process. Blenderbim (now Bonsai) is becomming a gamechamger in these fields and quicker drawing is comming there eventually.
@@DanielDesigners I've spent the evening having a go at Bonsai BIM and I'm just going to put it down, move on and maybe wait for the next update. You dismiss speed of drawing, but the principal reason for BIM is speed and accuracy of producing drawing information. Bonsai BIM needs to fundamentally address how information in inputted before it moves on to anything else or it'll never amount to anything. I actually strongly contest that it aids freedom in the design process, it's massively too clunky for that, it's like trying to produce a sketch using a 3D milling machine that only understands python.
Yes it is! I am two updates behind so the next video will still be called 'blenderbim' then the one after that will be "Bonsai!" both updates will be soon ahhaha
I find it really exhausting to watch you select text and then read it aloud. I focus more on if you read it correct, than understanding the content and the updates. Really, I am half trough the video and must switch away as I cannot stand it... I mean, this is documentation that I can read through myself. You should reference the content and then show small or detailed examples to better explain the terminology. But don't read out the documentation 1:1. I can read it myself, I don't need a YT video for that 😉 So more "how does it work" instead of "what can it do".
what a job, very grateful for these improvements, keep going..

@@DanielDesigners I'm afraid it's a hard sell when it takes about five minutes to draw what can be done in Revit in about five mouse clicks.

Have you tried shift+P. Game changer in wall drawing. Be in wall mode!!! Like drawing a line....Enjoy!
Great video! is it the same as Bonsai?

@@IfcArchitect Thanks for the explanation! great job
