Well that was hilarious! My sister is not a medical nerd like me, but she is such a good sport :) let’s see how many thumbs ups we can get for her :)
The Frey Life your sisyer had a lung transplant right? How is she doing after that? I'm sure you've talked about this but since C.F. is genetic how does the C.F. gene not affect the new lungs and how you guys not make each other sick growing up?
Question....Since your sister has CF and you have CF why are you able to be around her and not other CF patients?

In a strange way, the new lungs don't get CF because they have the same genes as the donor, and will have a normal amount of salt in the secretions (mucus). Mary said once, somewhere, that the reason she and Rachael can be together and could while growing up is that they both caught all the same little bugs already and have the same biology now. I hope that makes sense.

Your videos usually come out about one hour before i go to bed but i always make sure they're the last thing i watch before i fall asleep because they make me so happy ❤️

I had a boss w/diabetes but maybe that was before sensors & things, these seem so complicated so i find it comforting that there are people like yall that share your experiences w/the world.

It’s amazing seeing two chronic health warriors being so different in medical excitement. Haha Mary is all about learning and doing awareness and her sister is more let’s just getter done and over with, as it may appear. But you but are amazing fighters. So glade you guys have such a great family dynamic. And peter you’re one amazing guy and husband. I hope someday I find a significant other with the bond similar to Mary and peter. As chronic health has definitely frighten some people off just from the lack of knowledge of my daily life health complications

Shaunna sparkles Clarke Hi, Shaunna! Rachel had a lung transplant in 2011, so her lungs are free from cf, but she still has it - it just affects her other organs. That’s why she still has to do things like subcutaneous immunoglobulin (don’t remember the abbreviation lol!). Hope I answered your question ☺️. Hope you have a joyful evening! 💚

I start having rash for some reasons my sensor leaving red marker ( rash ) on my skin when I take it off and it’s happened right after 5 days idk why any idea ? It’s so annoying I wonder is it because the shower ? Or because sweating at work ? And the sensor stickers gets wet and dry

I hear freestyle Libre is a popular CGM here in Australia, and the sensor is applied on the back of the arm-if you are having continued discomfort with putting the sensor on your tummy, I wonder if you could apply the Dexcom sensor to ur upper arm/back of upper arm?

Did Dexcom/insurance help u out with an extra to get u thru the month? I remember u were a few days early with the last change + this change, and that u only got 3 sensors for the month-I hope they “hooked you up” and sorted it for you!!!

Can the dexcom applicator be recycled? If not thats alot of plastic to go in the trash for each sensor change.

Ok so instead of constant pricking... This has a small needle that stays inside you? Or does the needle... Somehow get replaced by the sensor?
jessica Caldwell I don't know all the mechanisms but I do know that the needle does not stay in, just the sensor.
jessica Caldwell The needle doesn’t stay in! It’s used initially to feed in the sensor, then extracted. From then on, the sensor stays in place and, I’m assuming, feeds in a minute amount of blood every so often. I’m just going by her previous videos and those I know who have one 😉
