Arcades need to make a comeback
@Writer B.L. Alley Sometimes it won't even be half a game
RPG'S and 'war' games like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon are for losers.
They are making a comeback as we speak
As a child of the 80s, and an avid gamer, I love these trips to classic arcades that you do. We have an arcade/bar here in Indianapolis called Tappers.
I miss arcades. I hadn't really realized it until recently, And the noise in this video made me nostalgic.
No doubt the noise is very nostalgic.
Pure nostalgia for a guy of a certain age - and it's great that your daughter is getting into the 'old time' games. She will help to keep these lovely games cabinets going long into the future.
You need to interview the owners(Mike and Steve), they are great guys and they have some good stories.
I miss arcades so much. was such an awesome time back in the day!
That was Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 3. at 12:07 another common Arcade Racer is Wangan Midnight Maximum tune 3.
Fantastic video! Thanks for the trip down memory lane... $35 a month is an insane deal for unlimited play in a time capsule like that!
No doubt. I thought it was $30? Anyway, $10 a day all you can play.........AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So awesome to see a well maintained arcade like that. Thanks for sharing. Took me back.
I take my kids here every time I am in Phoenix to visit them.
Amazing place. brings me back to my 80's childhood
Great to see all these classics kept alive and well maintained!
AWESOME! God 35$ a month for anytime freeplay is SUCH a deal! I love them Sega machines!
atomicpuppet Check the Website!
Great memories for me as an ex-arcade junkie. It was a lot of fun watching your daughter play the games as well. Thank you!
I regret not playing more pinball when I was younger. Now I realize what I was missing out on while playing stuff like Pinball Arcade and William's Pinball Classics.
I wish I had a place like this near me. I would be a frequent visitor. :)
Great music, great décor, great games. These folks are doing God's work...
Thank you so much for sharing this video! It brought back tons of great childhood memories. I pretty much grew up in the Arcade.in the 80s :) Even today, still some awesome games!
Awesome video! Also, the song playing at the end is called "Town of Albano" from Lufia: The Legend Returns for the Gameboy Color handheld. Your daughter is going to have a wonderful childhood :).
As a kid in the 80s, i remember going to arcades when they were in malls and other locations. Pocket of quarters with me for the games or payphone to call after i was done but usually walked or rode bike to arcades from home. I loved playing many of those mentioned and would love to see arcades come back but it wouldn't feel the same as did then of course. 🕹👍🏻
Yay! Kidlet having fun :)
I dont comment much on videos on youtube in general, but this is an awesome place, I have been a member since 2015 and let me tell ya... The fee is well worth it. To all those who are classic gaming fans/arcade fans I highly recommend this place, I guarentee you will fall in love with it. At one point in time they had a "Time Zone" pinball machine thats an EM, but they ended up raffling it off when they did their "Strokefighters" which is a charity thing. Since the video was made they changed out some pinball machines. Whitewater and A nightmare on elm street have been replaced by a Metallica and AC/DC. Other than that, nothing much has really changed.
jzakoor I just went it was a madhouse I wish that one day they will move into a bigger building the one right now is super cramped
Cool your kid enjoys classic games. In the early to mid 90's I loved playing all those Street Fighter II & Mortal Kombat games Terminator 2 that was amazing with the uzi's as well as Revolution X. Other games like The Punisher & Alien vs Predator I've played on MAME.
This place is awesome! Almost makes me miss Phoenix, until I look at the weather. 121F, no thanks.
Your channel is so awesome. Great work. You are appreciated.
lol I literally was just their it was super crowded and the building was cramped wish to see them expand one day
Star Castle!! now I'm jealous. I don't think I've played that since I was in single digits!
Oh the sweet symphony of an arcade with everyone having a good time!! And this one actually having good games too. I remember aliens vs predator but the one I played had guns. Oh and spy hunter!!! Its sensory overload time!!!
I love that there'd tons of people in this arcade
Sweet arcade.
Great place! They had a lot of machines.. Reminds me of Circus Circus had three floors of Arcades back in the early '80's when I was stationed at Nellis.
I wish we had an arcade like this within an hour of us. I don't know of any in the Toronto area
Used to play Gorf a LOT...
Satan's Hollow was a good game for the time.
My fav pinball was Xenon - also Lost World.
Wow!
I did play "Wizard of Wor" as a kid. Dad was playing pinball with friends, gave me a few quarters and I was playing it to high level.
Good videos here!
I love that place! My friend and I go there all the time. Just up the road from us! Great place.
I wish we had places like this is Southern WV, The Addams Family pinball machine is my all time favorite. Thanks for sharing op.
I was looking but I didn't see Cabal cabinet, Awesome great to play. I haven't play it in years.
Did they have a Battlezone or a Star Fire? They used to have a Star Fire at the Santa Monica Pier back in the 80s. It was a sit down 50 cent game back then I believe.
There's a great retro arcade in Fayetteville, AR as well called Arkadia Retrocade. It's seems to be a successful formula for them. I wish more people would open some up.
Damn, that place was pretty busy, you filmed down 2 hallways around the end and almost all the machines were being used.
MDK22420 you have no idea :)
The opening theme sent me into flashback mode. Can't tell you how many hours I played that game.
Where I live in Arkansas, there's one that I know of, opens for long hours in the summer, three day week rest of the year, unless they've changed, but it's not quite as bad, but I like it! People can have their XBox Ones and their PS4s, but I'll take an well stocked arcade all day every day! When I win the lottery, oh the arcade I will have! BWAH HA HA HA HA
I better comment on this video..I really am jealous of the folks in AZ that get to go to this one! :)
I didn't know that this place existed! I'll have to check it out tomorrow!
Now I'm crying tears of joy. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Captain Cutaneum Arcade 85 video, but this place.. PINBALL HEAVEN
Dragon's Lair and Space Ace?? I haven't seen either of those in probably 30 years!
Maybe I'll find some vacation time and extra $$$ and take a trip to Mesa.
I can't thank you enough for this! Yes, I subscribed!
I think you might like this video over on my 2nd channel 😁
ua-cam.com/video/xXZs3Eowinw/v-deo.html
thank you so much, if i could i would live there!!!
Definitely an arcade that I would like to document on my 16mm and still film cameras.
Loving this series!
Great video! This arcade is amazing and fun! That Back to the Future pinball machine must be new since I didn't see it a couple weeks ago when I was there.
I laughed at your characterization of Sinistar!! Too true
I always wanted to get there and try out the games. After watching this, I really need to now
Awesome!
Another great arcade. Thanx.
Something you might want to be on the lookout for is Donkey Kong Remix. It looks like an original 1981 Donkey Kong, but it has a 2015 remix chip installed which gives it all new levels and an attract loop during freeplay. Lots of fun and a must have if you plan to put one in a freeplay arcade like this one.
You're from Arizona. You ever go to Video Roundup at Plaza 777? I spent MANY years there and could spend over an hour on a quarter at the pacman jr coctail machine while waiting for a 9 foot table to open up. I also loved hopping into the nascar game and driving backwards. LOVED that.
Love that place!
heading out to the arcade tonight!
Did you see a Cyberball in there? Man, we used to put so many rolls of quarters in that thing!
SKMC69 I didn't, but they're constantly swapping machines out for ones in the back that just got finished with maintenance, so I'll keep an eye out for it 😀
STUN RUNNER
It is awesome you have a Retrocade to go to - none around me... :(
Do they have a Fish tales pinball? My all time favorite. I did also notice a "high speed" pinball, another favorite.
I see that the Dragon's Lair cabinet has Gary Goldman's signature on it. Now that's a collector item as he worked with Don Bluth on the game and the animated movies.
Mr Spectacals I was back there the other day, it has Don Bluth's autograph on it too! I played it for almost 45 minutes. I kind of feel like it should be in a museum, but I'm so happy I get to play it 😁
I need a place like this in mid michigan
I... need... to... go... to... this... place... Even if just to play Pinbot.
great video! amazing arcade!
would love to see some videos of just a couple machines to focus on. like you and some friends running the gauntlet!
Also, I make bleep and bloop, video game , space music I'd love to collaborate sometime as a fellow mallwalker ;)
i wanna try all the sit down and sega cabinets! ive heard of golden axe and space harrier bc of the all star games, but only bc of that.
I hope the have a large supply of spare CRT's in the back.
Legacy of the Wizard. Now there's some music I haven't heard in a while. I used to hate that game ;)
man i would love to visit one day and play darkstalkers i want to play the real thing so bad
I have to go for the Sega stuff, esp Space Harrier!
Karate Champ is broken even when its on! Lmao
FULL POINT! BEGIN.
Holy cow that was awesome. I imagine their electric bill must be pretty outrageous considering how hot it gets in AZ. I presume they keep the air conditioning running all the time in there? What would you estimate the cost of purchasing all of those games today would be??? Maybe $350-500,000 for everything?
Pinball tables are anywhere from $3,000 to $8,000 and most arcade machines can be had for less than $2,000.
360deeman Right...he said 30 pinballs (30 x $5k avg =$150k) plus 120 arcade games (120 x $2k = $240k) = approximate total of $390k
was there metal slug games there?
Satans Hollow is a great game.
Typo in the title, FYI. Cool place!
+TR47 Fixed it 😀 Thanks!
there was a great movie called last of the starfighters!
Close
35 bucks unlimited arcade??? bruh gimme that. if you havent been to manitou springs just west of colorado springs you def should. they have multiple buildings in downtown packed with hundreds of old arcade machines from a nickle to play up to modern star wars pinball and stuff
Omega Race... I go now.
To BLUBBER. 😂😂😂😂
You've never heard of Satan's Hollow? I've never heard of Gorf, until I watched your video.
Satan's Hollow was made from the same software and hardware as Tron. You can even see they use similar joysticks.
Why can't there be an arcade like this in Los Angeles???
Sonny S. Super Arcade? /Kappa
There has to be something in LA like this.....?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I heard Indiana Jones in there somewhere...
vengeance1701 their was one in their
10$ at the door is a good deal. Maybe too good of a deal. How do they pay the bills with that? They would make a lot more money if they charged more or used actual coins.
Wouldn't $1000 a day be $7000 a week?
They're only open 3 days a week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. (According to the website.)
Ah ok. nice.
This is rare. Most video game arcades are abandoned, or turned into "Nickel Cades."
I'd go just for the chance to play Initial D and DDR for a few hours.
where is gta5 at hahahahha
What's your daughter's name?
*YOU WILL NEVER BE DAN BELL!*
And thanks for putting your channel's name in the title just in case I didn't know who I was watching btw
SupaEMT134 and you'll never be the Queen of Swaziland. What's your point?
LMAO!!!!!!!!!! You go RA!!!!!!
Ok OK, what didnt your daughter like?? .. which game did she loathe?
