Hi! I have everything ready the day before of the wedding and I don't have cooler either. On this link I show what to do to prepare a wedding as your, take a look:ua-cam.com/video/NS9W1XXG76c/v-deo.html If you need more help, just let me know it.
Glam Kweens well, for this wedding, the big centerpiece was around $75 each. The prices may change based on the season, colors, length of the stems and quantity we order. If we order more flowers, the price is better than a few. If we order flowers for July, the price is better. If we have to make three centerpieces instead 10, the price will be proportional more expensive. So, there are many topics to take care before we can talk about prices. I hope this can help you. Thanks for your question.
Jacie Lee 28 minutes ago (edited) I like your video! Thanks for your great content! It is very resourceful. I am a florist as well. I would have my first wedding coming at the end of May but I have a problem. I do not have a cooler so I might use room A/C to store my flowers but I do not feel confident about it. Do you think it is a bad idea? Do you have any other suggestions? Appreciate your help!
Hello Jacie, I don't have and never did cooler. I bought one small cooler recently and I use it just for personal flowers. If you buy fresh flowers you don't need a cooler. The flowers, "usually " last one week (sometime more). When you order your flowers, talk with your provider about it. Your success will increase his/her sales. If they give you fresh flowers, you'll be back over and over again. When you go to pick the flowers, open the boxes, all of them. Take a look and be sure they are fresh. This is the hardest part on this business. OPEN YOUR EYES AND DON'T GET AMAZED WITH JUST THE COLORS! Any other question, I'm here. I'll be happy in helping you. Good luck!
Yes, I tried to do it but it took too long. Now, I found out, there are other way to do it and is by submerging the flowers in a bucket with the color I need. I haven't done yet.
Champagne Events , yes I do. Before I leave, I check the water level on each centerpiece and I add water. When I come the next day, I add more. These designs have too many flowers in a small dish. Thanks for asking me.
You may not have a chose because the brides wants a certain look but hydrangeas should never be put in oasis they don't drink properly or last as long. They prefer direct water in vase of water with flower food for longer lasting flowers. But brides want certain look just make sure they understand they won't last as long. Even roses dont like oases it clogs the drinking sources. Thou beautiful they are for that day only.
I can see through the comments that it is very difficult for some persons to work with hydrangeas. It was for me as well until I met a person who told me something that made me get upset: "you don’t know how to buy hydrangeas ". And she was totally right. Once I learned, I had not more problems with them. I offer hydrangeas to the brides because is a way to have big and affordable decorations. When I order hydrangeas for a wedding, they arrive on Wednesday, I keep them in water two days and the oasis one day. I start working with them on Friday and we do delivery and setting on Saturday. Also I use for floral arrangements for condominium so, it is just one change for week, and they are on perfect condition. So, without any desire on offending you, probably you haven’t been working with fresh hydrangeas. I made a very short video about how to identify a fresh hydrangea and I do recommend you take a look at it. More than happy in keep helping you. Thanks.
that is a very good question. The price of the flowers change on each season, change for the length of the stems, for the size of the head, for the amount you order and for the country they coming from. I use Hydrangeas from Colombia, they are really good, and they are close than those that come from Europe. I don't remember the price of these centerpieces but, provably, today they will cost around $120 each. I hope this can help you understand how to estimate the price for your work. Any other question, just let me know.
I don’t think it’s difficult to find nature blue hydrangeas. As a florist, you know there are so many varieties of natural colour flower you can find instead you painted it. I think the reason why the client order fresh flowers is because it show natural, smell nice and truth.
Stephanie Chan , you are right, the blue Hydrangeas are as easy to find as the white ones. I do prefer use white because I have better results with them, beyond that, in this case, I have to use teal color, as the bride requested. I see this topic has created many comments so, I’m preparing other video to explain why I do what I do. Thanks for your comment. 👍
It’s true. My career is in flower distribution and blue hydrangeas are a tiny bit more expensive. Mostly they can be unreliable in quality and color. It is better sometimes to use the color spray because you have more control of what color, and always better odds for good quality with the plain white premium hydrangea.
It’s pretty but how well do all those hydrangeas hold up in a tower of foam? I feel like they’ll need way more water than what’s available to them and they might wilt fast
Hi Deezy, that is a good question. I learned that the fresh the flowers are, the longer they live on very good shape. Beyond that, you always have to leave the Hydrangeas and the oasis 24hs in water (I do that even if the oasis is "quick " water) before starting work with them. I use them on floral arrangements for lobby os condominiums so, I have to be sure they will be good one week, and they are good one week and more. I hope this can helps you with your question. Thanks!
Do you have any other tutorial? Also, what size was the large lomey dish and how many bricks did you put on each dish? I have done this design numerous of times, but I really like how you organized your flowers in sets of 25.
Rosa Gibbs Hello Rosa, I do have other tutorials m right here, on UA-cam. Sorry I’m so late answering you back. The dishes were 9” for the smaller and 11" diameter and I used 1/2 for the small and 2 1/2 oasis for the big one. If you need more information, just let me know. Thanks!
Usually I prepare the oasis two days before of the wedding and I add water every day until I do the centerpieces and, that occur the day before of the event. I think you can see it clearly on the video "Wedding Time Tutorial! Peach, oink and white flowers...." Thanks!
Fern, this spray is for flowers so, there is not damages on doing it and, the second reason is, if you client want teal flowers and you know they don’t exist, you have to spray color on the flowers.
Fern I know that this point becomes an issue among the people but, in the market of the weddings, sometimes is very complicated to please the brides and I have to do what they want. There are hydrangeas, at least here, such as pink, royal blue, lavender, well, all those that aren’t white or baby’s blue, that are really expensive and they can’t afford. So, I have to do my best to make them happy and helps them with their dreams. If you visit my Facebook page, business Facebook page, all the Hydrangeas that you will see there, have been spread color on it, all of them and, all my clients were extremely happy when they saw the results and the difference on the prices. At the end of the day, their happiness is the only think that really matters. Don’t you think? Thanks for your comment and, I’ll be here always to help you again. 😉👍
What is the strapping material called that you used to secure the foam squares together for the centerpieces? What air temperature is best and lighting where you store the arrangements once in the oasis bricks?
Candy Smith Hello Candy, the tape I use for the oasis is waterproof floral tape. Once I finish the floral arrangements I just leave them in the same room where you see me working on the video. Also I leave the AC on 75 and that is enough. If the flowers are fresh and the oasis was in water 24 hrs, there is not too much to take care about it. I hope this can help you. Thanks!!!!
Once you complete the centerpieces, how do you keep the flowers hydrated? I did this and within a couple hours my hydrangeas started wilting. Any tips?
Morgan Clay Hello Morgan, I’ll give you a few tips and I hope these can help you. I always keep the oasis 24 hours totally submerged in water. When I put the oasis in water, I don’t push it down, they have to get wet by themselves, if not, they will have "dried bubbles " inside the oasis and, if the stems reaches those points, the Hydrangeas will be suffering. Also, the Hydrangeas, are 24 hours in water previews I start working with them. After I made the centerpieces, I add more water and I leave all of them on my table, with the AC on 75. But, for sure, the most important, is buying fresh Hydrangeas. These you see in my video, can last really long. It took me a lot of time learning to buy fresh Hydrangeas. I do have other video where I explain how to identify fresh Hydrangeas. I hope these tips can help you. Good luck and feel free to consult me again. Thanks!!!!
I hate putting hydrangeas in oasis because of wilting sometimes. But also after I finish designing, I also spray with either crowning glory or finishing touch to help with wilting.
Hi there! Before I leave my store, I add water and they are really good overnight. At the next morning, the first thing I do is add more water. The most important for the Hydrangeas is, beyond they must to be fresh, they need to take water, at least, 24 hour before you start working with them (these were in water 2 days) and, the oasis, super well hydrated. I leave the oasis in water for 24 hours.

Lola Mitchell Hello Lola, sorry for delay in my answer. I buy the flowers on different places. All depends on what you have to do. There are companies who sell by bunch but they are super fresh flowers and super expensive. Then, others sell by bundle or box, those are more economic. You have to look on the area where you live. I use to drive to Miami Airport area and I can buy on Allure Farms. Even though, a good vendor, will ask you, for what you need the flowers? And they will advise you about "age" and prices. I hope this can helps you. Thanks!!
Girls I recommend a website www.ebloomsdirect.com Here I bought all kinds of fresh-cut flowers and also preserved flowers for all your DIY projects and also DIY wedding centerpieces. They have free shipping in all the store for the USA. Remember, Inexpensive doesn't mean Cheap! You' can get beautiful centerpieces (box include 5 centerpieces) by $129.00, It wants to sayvthst each centerpiece costs $25.80 it's really
Hello Geli, at that moment I didn’t have floral cooler and, usually, the clients called me, like four days after the wedding, to let me know that the flowers were still good. But, my experience says that the regular roses are on better shape longer than the Spray roses. What I always do is having a good flower vendor who will have always fresh flowers for me and that is the best advice I can give to you. As I use to say, the most complicated part of this business is buying flowers. I hope this can help you. Thanks for asking me.
Love hydrangea but I hate that you painted them. When you're trying to decide how many flowers to order do you do a prototype arrange so you'll know exactly how many flowers to order.
sherry odom , hello Sherry. I do like paint the Hydrangeas if that helps me to make happy the brides and helps me to avoid other problems. About the numbers of Hydrangeas, I don’t do prototypes , I know how many I need and I order a few more. All depends on the size of the arrangement and the size of the head’s flowers. Also, if you have to use other flowers, like mums or Lily, big head flowers, I use less Hydrangeas. Usually I start with 12 Hydrangeas for arrangements like this so, if I have to prepare 10 centerpieces, I order 120, plus 20 more, just in case some of them comes smaller or not too fresh. I hope this helps you. Thanks!
Reina Arnez Hello Reina, the size of the dish is 9", and I use, for this size of arrangement, between 12 to 16 flowers. All depends on the design. Thanks!

my hydrangeas I think because of the climate I had to put wires all the stems
Oh! That is new for me. Why? If you don't use wire, what will happen with them?
love it!! thank you for sharing
Thanks for your comment! I really appreciate it and make me super happy!
Are they okay to stay overnight for the next day? Or do you have to water them.
I love how they look when your done.
I want to see them in tha final vase please
LE A Hello, I have a few pictures on the second part of this video but, I don’t know why I didn’t added the pictures on this... 😣😫😞😒..... Sorry!

Idea TV Hello, those are oasis floral foam. They come for fresh flowers, as you see on the video, and for artificial flowers. Please, if you order, be sure to order the right one. I found this link where you can see the variety of them: oasisfloralproducts.com/products/floral-foam/
I hope this can helps you. Thanks!
How many hydrangeas can you spray per can of paint?
lmleyva oh! I never thought about it. But you can spray many, all depends on how deep you need to use the color. Sorry!
Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome!
How much did that arrangement cost.
that is a very good question.
Suerte!
For centerpieces i use turntable - Cake Decorating Stand!!is more easy and comfortable to work!
И. М yes! I was looking for that and the only thing I found are turning tables for pizza but it doesn’t work at all!!! Thanks so much for opening my eyes. Now I know where to look at! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I see oasis not in water on the top. How do the hydrangeas last?
Do you use Alum
Me too!
All pieces of oasis were in water.
I feel a hint of yellow/purple or green might
make it more vivid than just white and blue
Yeah! I think it could be great! But the bride was very clear when she told me "blue"
Beautiful 😊
Many thanks!

I delivered flowers for a year. It’s a tough job. Delivering all those centerpieces would be a nightmare for me and my back.
K. Fuentes oh, yes, it is! The car must be big enough to fit the vases, flowers, accents and cars to move everything. And, everything, is really heavy.
Any tips? I am starting as floral coordinator and only offering delivery. It is just me right now with an expedition and will delegate this job to someone else asap.
Did you say that you used 50 hydrangeas for each of the centerpieces?
15
As Rosy and Rosa Vlogs said.
how much for something like this??

Did you use premium (large) hydrangeas?
conskeeted3 Yes, I do. I used Jumbo size just once but I didn’t feel good working with it.
where do you get your flowers from? So beautiful and fresh! Thank you
Lola Mitchell Hello Lola, sorry for delay in my answer. Thanks!!
Girls I recommend a website www.ebloomsdirect.com
Here I bought all kinds of fresh-cut flowers and also preserved flowers for all your DIY projects and also DIY wedding centerpieces. They have free shipping in all the store for the USA.
Remember, Inexpensive doesn't mean Cheap!
You' can get beautiful centerpieces (box include 5 centerpieces) by $129.00, It wants to sayvthst each centerpiece costs $25.80 it's really
Beautiful
Beautiful, l love the nature
Devendra Yadav thanks for your comment 🙏
So pretty ❤️
Why not just buy blue hydrangeas?
Tomika Kelly hi there! Because the bride wanted teal and, teal it doesn’t exist in Hydrangeas.
What spray name plzzzz
Maafiya Haroon hi there! It is Master Design Spray color
How many larg roses and spray roses did you use?
Hello Geli, at that moment I didn’t have floral cooler and, usually, the clients called me, like four days after the wedding, to let me know that the flowers were still good. But, my experience says that the regular roses are on better shape longer than the Spray roses. What I always do is having a good flower vendor who will have always fresh flowers for me and that is the best advice I can give to you. As I use to say, the most complicated part of this business is buying flowers. I hope this can help you. Thanks for asking me.
Where do you purchase your hydrangeas? Very beautiful
. Thanks! Those Hydrangeas comes from Colombia and the company’s name, here in Florida, is Royal. They are located in Doral.
@@elitesflowers-floristshop.3616 Thank you...Do you know if they ship?? I'm in Seattle
Rue14 I think so.... let me get their information and you can call them.
Call tomthis number: 305-477-4483. They also have flowers from Ecuador (much better!!!!) Good luck!
@@elitesflowers-floristshop.3616 Thank you so much
Love hydrangea but I hate that you painted them.
Thanks!
Wow 🤩
Thanks for sharing
Hi, what size are the clear plates for the oasis and how many hydrangeas are you using for each centerpiece?
Reina Arnez Hello Reina, the size of the dish is 9", and I use, for this size of arrangement, between 12 to 16 flowers. All depends on the design. Thanks!
