    One of the best duke 250 video!
    The kind of video I wanted to see!

    0:39 That sudden jerk you get when you engage the 1st gear. The feel is amazing ❤️

    I own a duke 250 bs4 model … it didn't heat up that much people used to say . I think 250 produces less heat as compare to 200 n 390. I love my bike. power is insane, got disc variant which is good enough to stop the engine.

    @PistonHead 7 років тому +55

    For those who are confused between Fz250 and Duke 250
    A simple conclusion.
    If you want raw power and an aggressive bike, Go for the Duke.
    If you prefer a calm nature and want the power to be in higher rpms, Go for the Fz250.

      right , but few think D250 as overpriced and not needed , which is just not true !
      D250 is leagues apart from FZ250 , which is just a knock off for a 250cc bike..
      D250 will feel low , only if Akula has its price tag !

    • @PistonHead
      @PistonHead 7 років тому +3

      Baby Fireblade Thank you for mentioning that. But I wasn't talking about the speed or acceleration records over here.
      I was talking about the nature of both bikes. We all know KTM likes to create engines with high compression resulting into more aggressiveness. While the FZ250 being the same capacity is calm.
      Looking at the CBR250R, we all know How calm the Honda engines are but still some people managed to get it to 164kmph on stock while the D250 struggles somewhere near 155kmph ish and Fz250 near 149kmph ish. After all for the top speed and acceleration figures the rider's weight, wind and road matter a lot. So those numbers will be variable by 3-5kmph always.

    • @roadtrimmer4961
      @roadtrimmer4961 7 років тому +2

      you meant better acceleration by 0.5seconds ? what after that ? FZ25 struggles even to touch 135kmph..duke 250 goes all the way to 159 without limiter kicking in
      and just after that better 0.5 seconds of acceleration, D250 will slash off a FZ25 beyond 100kmph mark.. and FZ would get behind even RS and NS beyond 110kmph mark , D250 is long gone in terms of performance..
      FZ25 and D250 are better not compared in terms of outright performance

    • @roadtrimmer4961
      @roadtrimmer4961 7 років тому

      FZ25 149ish ? 140 is a big call for FZ25

    I must say after riding 1100kms on duke 250 it is a joy to ride on bike trips and twisties .... But not so pleasant in city conditions..the hot air just burns your feet

    the duke has upright stance, so can it be used for touring?
    also if maintained well, can’t the duke last longer say 5-6 years?
    does it vibrate?

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  6 років тому +9

      Long distance touring like 300+km on a day will be a bit tough on this. Anything under this distance will be good. Generally well maintained KTM's will stay for 5 years. Havnt seen anyone talking about no issues after 5 years.

    nice one again , warming up , for minimum 30 seconds or 1 minute is must , even in heat
    and i believe , that even though its fun , but we should skip on engine braking on a single cylinder bike.. mainly if you were testing for engine heat too !

    bro you own a CBR 250 R right? do you know how long is the engine warranty ?? my bike completed one year on Jan 2017 and few days ago I'm hearing some sound from the engine will it get covered under warranty? I heard bike engines come with 2 years of warranty or 32000 KMS?

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  7 років тому

      It is 2 years or 32K kms which is second highest.
      Dont worry about the noise from engine. It could be a shim issue, which could be easily replaced under warranty. You can get an extended warranty for 5 years too.

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  7 років тому +2

      Mid range is so good. Full power and enthusiasm. And more fun than a CBR. This make a better city bike than CBR. Abs is the only drawback I see.

    • @m.rraghav817
      @m.rraghav817 7 років тому +1

      Strell definitely be leaps better than the cbr in the city, low end torque think is even better on the 200 duke but on the highway I think cbr should be better, I'm planning to big bore my cbr to 286 cc, what do you think?

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  7 років тому

      My friend has done that once. Just an input is that, take it to a known mechanic who has immense knowledge on working on these mods. Not everyone exactly know what happens after that. Your fueling and infact map needs to be changed. My friend had a bad experience and ended up in spoiling the engine.
