I live in the United States and really like this car, however the only deal breaker for me is the lack of side curtain airbags. Side impacts are common in cities especially at intersections. With the windows being so big, I can easily see ones head striking the hood of whatever hits you from the side. Instant death.
You can import these into the US, I’ve seen people import its less luxury counterpart, the Wuling Hongguang Mini Ev and register them. It all depends on what your states laws are.
I was thinking the same but perhaps it would be cheaper if we could buy these in Mexico or Canada as right now the US has a trade barrier of $7k on Chinese cars.

I think it is rather awkward looking and too expensive for its power and size. The new Wuling Bingo is better than the Air in my opinion. Also the Geely Panda is better as well. I would buy those two before the Air.
That car is perfect for city driving and daily commuters.
