- Hi guy's and welcome to another one of my car videos... This one is my 2012 (62 plate) Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe CDi Sport with AMG pack.
Miles are roughly 38,850
Its a 2.1 Turbo Diesel engine with 170bhp and 295ft lbs. 0-60mph in 8.5seconds.

I`ve just bought a E220 CDI 125 Blue Efficency 61 plate with Pan Roof Sat Nav and Tan Leather in White for £7,700.00 and need to be able to check everything works and this Video has really helped informed for when I check it out so thank a lot and keep it up !!

Damn, that's a beautiful car. I've never been much into MBs, but this car made me fall in love.
Me either, I've never been much of a Merc fan, but my friends friend had this and needed cash so I bought it a lot cheaper than I should have. Ended up thinking it was an amazing car, people always complimented it... mind when I bought it the condition was terrible, it hadn't been washed for 6 months, but I'm a detailer so turned it into a beauty lol

I'm just swapping over from a range of 5 series M-Sports to Mercedes after having a E-Class on hire while mine was being repaired and totally converted however, there's so many to choose from in the Mercedes range I "almost" gave up but after browsing a few on auto trader and watching a few videos on here, I'm hooked - None more so than after watching your no nonsense, no BS open and honest display of your stunning car. Sold, thanks mate... PS, I'm Newcastle and sick and tired of thumping over Killingworth Road and just know the ride quality of the E-Class will undoubtedly be better!
Yeah the ride will be a lovely drive lol, it was a really really nice drive especially on the motorway the mpg for a big car were amazing, mind mine was just the baby 220, you can go all the way to a 350 I believe but I was happy with what it was.
I always give honest opinions no cars perfect they'll all have something you dont like or that gets on your nerves.
The guy who bought this one drove it all the way to spain and that's where it lives now, lapping up the sun :-)
I've had quite a few cars since this video you'll find them on my channel, you never know something else might take your fancy, but the Merc is a really good call

Rashim Madahar I'm not that good mate lol. People just seem to like me walking round cars telling them all the features. My old Audi s3 helped loads of people out when they were looking to buy and my mk3 Focus RS loads of people inboxed me saying thanks for the review then they bought one :-)
My last view was the 206 GTi 180 which has had more views than the v8 Merc I did, crazy!

Top car mate. You inspire me to save and spend my money wisely. After Ive paid off my financed polo r that is it for me. Everything I own will be paid in full lol. God knows how you manage to save for these kind of cars I have no idea what you do for income but you most certainly inspire me to save my money. To start with a £700 car to a scirocco, range, s3 and now this! Your definatley doing something right anyway. Will look forward to see what you get next, wouldn't surprise me if its a bentley lol
+Michael Bradshaw Thanks mate means a lot to see somebody is happy for me, nobody else ever seems to be lol. Work wise I work in ASDA/Wal-Mart but do a few other bits and pieces. I've had more cars over the years just never put videos up, I think maybes one of my really old s3's and Golfs are on my channel.
I started with a £700 then slowly worked my way, it was from a £700 to a Scirocco lol. I don't hardly drink and don't smoke, my friends who smoke spend like £200 per month just on that nasty habbit.
Like I've mentioned I love your shape Polo, my friend had a black one and I loved that.
Bentley is a nice choice, they've came down so much in value. They were £110,000 I've seen them second hand for as little as £30,000 for a really nice one, obviously not a SuperSport just a Conti, but still awesome cars.
What you wanting next? Still a small hatch or something bigger?
+Mr.Craig's Video Channel Haven't seen the golf or your old S3 but i'll have to have a deeper look through your channel mate im sure i'll come across them. And I was set on getting a golf mate, first car was a 03 corsa club and now Im with the polo. Had my heart set on a golf even before I passed my test but soon learned that insurance and the cost of the car itself is way out of my league at the moment. Ideally if I bought a golf I'd have wanted a mid range to high spec one so anything from a gti, gtd or even the r itself but at my age (22) and where I live in manchester my insurance would simply put me out of pocket every month with the wage im on lol. Im happy with the polo now as its a big change from my corsa so Ive not really put any thought into what i'll get next. I like the look of the new shape a3 s lines & the s3's. Leon cupras arent too bad either.
Yeah as for the 30k bentleys Ive seen them myself around that price however i'd probably go for a c63 if I had 30 odd grand
Michael Bradshaw I can only imagine the difference from the Corsa to the Polo, I've had a Corsa and it was a good little car but you can't beat German build.
Insurance is a pain in the arse, I bought my mam a little 1.5 Swift GLX for Christmas and she's paying £277 a year, I mean it's not that expensive but shes old, I thought it would of been around £120 lol.
I've just double checked there and my old red Golf GTi Anniversary is on here and one of my old 03 reg Audi s3's what was running 333bhp, somebody snapped my hand off and paid £9000 for it about 4 years ago.
Soon as this Merc goes I'll be going shopping for something, just not sure what! I've just had a Focus RS fly past me on the motorway there, that noise is amazing

Just a small funny thing: if you have the window open or half open and hold down the air recirculation button for two seconds it will close all windows. When holding down again the windows will all return to their position as it was before. This is usefull when you're driving in summer and entering a stinking tunnel!

@@CraigsChannel the same situation we have in Poland. Brand new car cost twice now like hals year ago, its crazy in my opionion. Price is first problem second problem it is not avaiable in stock to get brand new car - sometimes no possible to buy one.
Maybe it's all over the world! I thought it was just the UK.

@@CraigsChannel the same story is here with the fuel price... Especially with the diesel, may be will be better, but i gues not now because we ordinary people have problem with the fuel price but goverment has got only benefits (tax) with high fuel price... Unfortunately.
Hopefully by next year all the prices will drop! We'll just have to wait and see. I think I'm going to give up car hunting and just wait, I'm in no rush

I needed something to carry my tools my dog and loads of crap in and to replace the van my son nicked off me. I keep getting told they're good for 400,000, but I'm hoping they're wrong. :-)
My daughter has a couple of Merc's for executive transport and they are very nice. My fun car is an Alfa, five cylinder 20 valve diesel which has got a broken engine at the moment, but I can fix it.

£200 is a bargain, it's hard to find cheap cars these days.

Really nice car Craig and love the white. I Have the 350 V6 turbo charge pimped out in the PD 550(prior design )body kit. Wrap in satin black by Yiannimize, looking very cold and aggressive.

To be honest I love an A5 my friend had the 3litre diesel version and was lovely, I just prefer the Merc. I've had a selection of cars since this one if you flick through my videos 😂

I sold the car not long after I bought it maybes 4-5 months later, not becausr there was anything wrong I just like to change my cars quite often. The guy who bought it took it to Spain and didn't even look round it he just paid, had a cup of coffee and on his way he was, he said after seeing the video he knew it was the car for him lol.
The 350 is the beasty version mines was the baby but still not slow.
I loved the car and doubt you'd have anything to complain about!

When I bought the car is wasn't anything like when I sold it, the guy used it as a kind of work horse and had it in a right state, took me a week and I had it looking new again. I was lucky though, when I bought it there was so much dirt, something nasty could have been hidden behind.
Why don't you buy one with the spec and engine you want them wrap it yourself or get somebody to? Wrapping is a huge thing now and cost effective
Craig I know you had the CDI model E220, I have an E550 same model year was there anything you didn't like about the E class coupe?
No Benjamin, I can honestly say it was the best car I've ever owned and probably driven. I never even planned on ever buying one, my best friends friend was short for cash so I bought it at a really good price and loved it. I love most modern cars but Merc are top of there game I think. E550 is a lovely car but I bet its nasty on fuel lol

The handbrake is fine, tbh you don't have to use it being an automatic the car stays in park unless you're on a hill no need to use it. Lights are really good, nice and bright as all xenon bulbs are

Stumbled across this video by luck. Thank you. I'm buying an old merc (E 250 coupe CGI blue efficiency year 2010 with a 50k speedo), can anyone tell me whether this is bluetooth capable? I've tried to find a way on the net to install a carplay on this car but I think merc is making this rather difficult. Thank you again.
Clifford Callistus This was my first ever Merc it was a total random buy for me as my best friends friend was selling and I was car less at the time and thought 'what the hell' lol, ended up absolutely loving it and would always have another.
Mine ran music via the bluetooth, USB and also had an AUX, I wouldn't recommend AUX as the quality isn't good at all. I'm not sure if can use Spotify and stuff due to me not having an account and not trying.
I've had plenty Audi's and can honestly say you won't be disappointed.
I've a few cars look round videos on my channel now and happy they've helped people like yourself :-)

I sold this car a little over 5 years ago, as for safety they've always been safe cars. Blind spots I really can't remember but shouldn't be an issue. I'd like a newer shape like a 2018 model, they look so nice and interior is amazing

@craig , I have the same car c207 2011 model and I realized it doesnt have a back up camera , do you recommend any to work with the OEM screen ?
I've only ever had a reverse camera on one car which was my Focus RS, as long as I've got parking sensors I'm happy... I can park fine without any aids but it's nice to have them just for that extra insurance nothing is behind you lol

i was studying and living in Leeds for 4 years and now in Berkshire for another 3 years thats why north accent sounds so warm to me lol, e coupe is ‘solid’ in deed..compare to my previous two VWs---passat and CC，however, it returns me 38mpg on avarage, makes me a bit depression. ;)

I'm finally achieving a long held dream. I wanted a Mercedes by age 50. This April I turned 51, a little late but goal achieved. After a whole slew of ordinary and none too special cars, this one I wanted to make sure I got a really good one!! ( E220 CDI AMG sport coupe, polar white with red leather and pano roof. That's enough!!)

The 30 on the tyre means that the sidewall height is 30% of the width of the tyre.
Oh right! My friend told me years ago its just the size never mentioned anything about %, so much he knows lol
255/30 means 255mm is the width of the tyre and 30 means 30% of 255 which is the sidewall height (so 76.5 mm of sidewall height)
abd bach I'll keep all this in mind when I do a next video, it's always good to learn new things, as they say "Everyday is a school day" lol

Absolutely loved it! Wasn't a car I ever thought of buying, but my best mates mate was strapped for cash and got it for a bargain price at the time. They still look nice even today, but if I was to buy another I'd go for the facelift.
Comfort, good mpg, looks nice, plenty gadgets... what more could you ask lol
@@CraigsChannel exactly mate, I just stumbled across them to be honest and when I saw how much kit you get etc thought it's a no brainer. After seeing the one you had, I'll have to buy an AMG one if i bite the bullet!
@@sparko2012 mine wasn't a proper AMG like say an c63 or a45 it's just the AMG line so you get fancy stuff like interior, wheels etc.
Plenty cars out there to choose from, it's a buyer's market. I've done a few videos on my channel of older cars I've had, you never know something else might take your fancy

Brilliant cars i had the C220 AMG lovely car.Merc have really stepped up their game in the styling nowadays.Not a fan of the handbrake it takes months to get used to it lol.Only downside is the servicing as it's yearly no matter what miles you have done.I sold my Merc just before the 4th service which with MOT was going to cost £550 ! Prefer the BMW method as i could get 2 years between services as i only did around 6-7000 miles a year.
Oil and filter ages with time not only miles.. Service by time with run down miles is what keeps cars in the road
Some services from main dealers are so bloody expensive. If it's got full dealer history I take it there when it's due, but if its mixed history like my current car I do it myself and get my friend to stamp the book. Actually doing mine and my mothers car this week, weather pending 😂

Iulian Metaxa Its hard to say if a cars reliable it depends how it's been looked after and how many miles, the more miles the more wear and tear. I'd recommend one as they are lovely to drive and great on fuel, plenty toys to keep you entertained
hi craig does your window switches and steering wheel light up in the dark mine dont any idea whats gone wrong
I'm sure they lit up on a nighttime when I had the lights on mate. I sold this car a good few years ago now, had quite a few more since if you check my videos.
Only thing I could think is a fuse or maybe a wire?

I sold it about 4 months after I bought it, not that there was an issues or didn't like it I was just made an offer I couldn't refuse. Its not over in Spain. I've had quite a few cars since then, if you flick through my videos you'll see. Focus RS was my favorite. I'd still have another E class but the newer shape, beautiful cars

Nutguy95 I sold it after 2 months, not that there was an issue I was upgrading to a c63 Amg. when I owned it there wasn't a single problem, Merc are solid cars they don't tend to brake easily. I'd have another but would prefer the c class as I'm a small guy and the E class is more a bigger or gentlemans car lol

You can use memory card, I'm sure it also had a USB. As for bluetooth it was just to answer your phone calls

It's an older car now, most modern cars have bluetooth enabled to play. You could always buy a receiver that fits in the cigarette port and let's you play music via your phone direct to the radio

I believe it's called Polar white. Least I'm sure that's what the guy told me at Mercedes when I was there. Hopefully that helps you!

@@CraigsChannel I bought it off a dealer for 8 grand on finance. It has a full service history and my mechaqnic friend was with me when i got it. It says in the documentation that a lady paid 12 grand for it about 2 or 3 years ago. it's done 96,000 miles. I'm just waiting for a few bits to get sorted on it, then i'm picking it up. Just wanted to know if that AMG signage should be on the back?? It doesn't look quite right to be fair. I have a photo but don't know how the f£ck to put it on here? lol

This merc is great, 5.2l of fuel on 140km/h but engine sound is terrible
Diesel engines never really sound good, they're always noisey, sound like tractors 😂 good on fuel though compared to say a petrol
@@CraigsChannel i had e 250 cdi and 220 cdi both coupe and everything was superb ( 5.1 liter on highway 140 km/ h ) but sound of engine when i stop was terrible. Benz is great but next one must be V6 gasoline. On audi A5 coupe tdi engine i dont hear it at all but everything else was better on Benz.

Vyt Bbb With me being in the UK we run on mpg (miles per gallon) I've no idea what it was actually getting but is was amazing on fuel, best cars I've had for fuel economy. I've now sold the car

+ThatGuyNamedScott. C Good question, I found the answer the hard way when I had my Range Rover lol. What I do if I'm parking on a hill or anything with a slop is put the handbrake on before I put it into park, then when I'm ready to drive off put my foot on the brake put it into drive, release the handbrake then release the peddle. If you put it into park then let it roll an inch, then put the handbrake on, when you come to put it into drive the gearbox will have a god almighty crunch
+Mr.Craig's Video Channel With an auto MB you forget about the hand reak for hill starts. When you pull up on a hill, at a roundabout or in traffic for whatever reason bring the car to a stop with the footbrake as normal. Now put your foot back over the throttle ready to pull away because in an auto MB there is NO rollback. The car will magically just sit there waiting for you to press the accelerator and move away. It's awesome.
R0CKY44 I was just explaining hill starts as in getting in and out the car, the hill start you mean sitting in the car year just foot on the brake then throttle. But when you live on a bank/hill you have to be careful and put your handbrake on straight away before you leave off the brake in P mode. I never thought I'd buy an auto until I drove my Scirocco a few years ago, loved them ever since. I still love a manual for the feel of a car and knowing I'm in total control :-)
+Mr.Craig's Video Channel Ah okay, in 4 years I've never had to do that lol. Well done on that spotless car BTW. My c-class is also white, and I had a white Scirocco Scala in my twenties. For clean freaks white is best, because it shows up everything, including traffic film and tar spots. So once you have it clean, you know its clean, unlike black. Had a seat in the new C-Class coupe last week....amazing interior.
R0CKY44 I love the C-Class, c63 is what I'd love next. Yeah white is clean when its clean lol. I had to clay bar and Iron-X this car when I got it due to it being full of tiny bits of tar, took me ages but well worth the hassle in the end

+ThatGuyNamedScott. C I like when people take their boring Mercs and mod them. subtle spoiler and AMG back bumper. straight pipe on petrol and quad exhaust on diesel. Maybe a stage 1 tune or springs or big brakes. it adds SO much to these cars and destroys the myth "Mercs are for old people who don't care about driving"

Quick question seen the engine bay did clean it your self or did you get a someone to do it if so how much did you pay to clean it?
Cleaned it myself, I've always cleaned my engines when I get a new car, its a nasty job sometimes but well worth it when when you step back and admire lol. I just use APC 10/1 mix, couple of micro fiber clothes. Then to get the black plastics shinny Auto Glym tyre shine
Also seen you had an Audi S3 before I am thinking off getting the sportback DSG how was it on fuel and insurance ?
+Samie Mahmood My Scirocco was a DSG not sure if you seen that video but the gearbox was really nice and smooth. Fuel economy on the s3 wasn't the best as you'd imagine with 300bhp lol. Insurance I don't pay much maybes £330 per year fully comp
Yeah I am not expecting to be great I am looking at stock 265bhp S3 not a re-map dunno if that does anything to the MPG but will take a look at your Scirocco vid later
