Dear Sir, the word coffey and not coffee in the Nikka line is a type of column still used in the production of spirits. Also there is no corn in the Hatozaki, it is barley.
If you want to try an incredible Japanese whiskey, I recommend the Hibiki Masters Select. Only problem is it's impossible to find and probably way too expensive.
I have a bottle of this in my cab along with some Scotch and Irish which i tend reach for more often then the Hatozaki I'll try it again later in the week but from what i recall it's a lil light on the pallet doesn't linger long but it's ok
Just picked it up today at first I was looking for buffalo trace. I could not find it and this bottle caught my eye. I took a chance and bought it and found this review before I tried it and I’ve got to say this is really delicious and it’s very reminiscent of a Japanese sake on the nose and the forward end of the pallet. I’m definitely putting this bottle on my regular shelf I can have this any time. Very delicious

Ok, I just tried this. It's basically like a peated scotch. It reminds me of a Lagavulin.
