- Today we dive into our Milky Way to get a sense of scale with the game Megaton Rainfall, which features a fully explorable, procedurally generated universe. The scale is smaller than the real life counter part and yet distances feel massive, which makes you wonder why people still think we might be the only form of "intelligent" life in the universe.

Black holes will not kill you if you attempt to enter them. However the time dilation effect allowed "The Intruders" to kill humanity. The "health bar" is a casualty bar.

Yeah it’s easy to get lost in this game when you go out in space. It’s all fun and games until you try to make your way back to earth and realize that you don’t know how to get back.
Which is something I really love about this game.

It's because the game doesn't have much to do, like the previous commenter said. There are little to no mods- and after you finish the lackluster campaign, you have little else to do other than just wreak havoc on Earth with the same attacks and explore the universe wherein you'll find the same 5 types of planets.
imagine for the sequel you could break free the universe and explore an infinite multiverse lol

@@mitchmat23 no there's multiple galaxies. In the game. Not universes. The universe contains galaxies. Galaxies contain stars. Stars have some solar systems. Solar systems have planets, some planets have moons.
But earth is special because it has land with cities with people in them

This game is so inaccurate. The cars in Dubai are not gaudy enough. Needs more exotic, golden vehicles and indentured servants in the outskirts of the city.

If the cities were detailed like the latest simcity games and the destruction of building using advanced physics like in other games then this would have been a hit.
Starting fires, explosions and smoke debris from falling structures would have been awesome.

I absolutely love this game... and I'm playing technically the worst version (Switch - Portable Mode), and it's STILL so incredibly satisfying. And only 16 bucks... 😱
And the best thing about the switch version (I have it) u can get free play mode if u beat it (that means u can kill without consequences)

Once you play it in VR, you will never look to play it in any other way, this game is nothing short of amazing in VR mode.

Space Engine doesn't put you in a body and let you superhero around the universe. It's a small thing but it adds a lot.
