Historical fact for the AMX: this plane almost served in the First Gulf War alongside the Tornado IDS (it would've taken a support role,so behind the Tornado).However,there were 2 problems:the first one was the unreliability of its engine,the Rolls-Royce Spey,it was so unreliable (it caused several crashes prior to 1990) that the Italian Air Force decided at last to not send the AMX into the Persian Gulf (in 1991 the entire fleet was put on a hold for safety reasons)
The other problem was simpler: the jet simply couldn't perform during low-visibility or night missions,the LITENING upgrade was available only in 2005 with the ACOL upgrade.
That was a shame, since the desert livery for the AMX was supposedly made but never used

Also that engagement at 2:30, using the targeting pod to gauge distance to fire the missile was so cool to watch
4 GBUs plus 2 rocket pods for lighter targets seems a very effective loadout

Hey Hunter, how are you doing? I hope better. As always a joy to see you upload another video. As you used some Paveways in this video I wanted to take the chance to ask you for some advice on how to use laser guided bombs in an 11.7 enviroment. I unlocked and soaded the Tornado a while ago but have trouble using it effectivle in GRB. I tried flying really high, flying extremly low but at best I'll get maybe two bombs to connect before getting slammed by SPAA. I tried to copy your playstyle while watching videos where you played the Tornado but most of the scenario's where situations in which I died😅
Hello, there is another Tornado ASSTA1 video on the schedule in the coming days, its TGP now is 2nd gen thermal quality, mostly low altitude of course, decision of when to go in pretty much depends on the situation, I would say RWR is your best best friend, try to be patient, be the SEAD guy, attack SPAA when they don't pay attention, pull off immediately to the deck if you feel you are getting lock on or looked at by SPAA players. Also remember, in RB RWR now shows only enemies! Remember that.

The black text with the thermals on makes it harder to read what it says on the UI, I'm watching on PC right now but I would imagine on a phone it would be even worse. Consider changing back maybe idk.

Have you tried the ripple secondary keybind? Found it just a few days ago and love it.

Hi Hunter, what key binding are you using to zoom the targeting pod? I have a strange issue where it is extremely slow to zoom at first and then dramatically speeds up almost as fast as clicking the zoom keybinding. This problem makes it hard to play helis with a large range of zoom. Thank you!
Hello, it is the same issue I have too my friend, I use mouse wheel zoom axis and I scroll it hard and a lot to get the sight zoom in, it is annoying and Gaijin refuses to fix it, so the main button will always be the one in common controls.
@@Hunter_i86 Ah I see, I just switched it to be on my mouse wheel and that seems to be more manageable than using keys. Hopefully they fix it soon. Happy flying and have a speedy recovery my friend!

hmmmm, didn't think about that but let me try, I think they will be like this:
1- Ka-52 (12x Vikhr + 8x Igla + Radar)
2- Mi-28NM (12 Vikhr + Radar)
3- Tiger HAD Block 2 (Fire & Forget msl Spike + Hellfire 2 + Turret Gun)
4- AH-129D (Fire & Forget msl Spike + Hellfire 1 + Turret Gun)
5- AH-64D (Hellfire 2 + Turret Gun + Radar)
6- Tiger UHT (Fire & Forget msl + NO Turret Gun)
I have a serious question! Can you make it that you drop a rocket pod automatically when its empty? Or do you always have to drop it manually?
You can do that, go to options then turn ON auto jettison.

#ask did Litening II thermal becomes worse after update? when i flew the f16C before there are options to switch between 1 gen and 2 gen thermal now it just 1 gen. i did not know about this change in the patch note or it is a bug?
I’m pretty sure gaijin did nerf thermals on a lot of targeting pods this or last update
LITENING II is 1st gen on some planes and 2nd gen on other planes, it is a mistake I think.

Hello, there is no auto drop for guided bombs (in War Thunder at least), there is auto drop for unguided bombs only which is called CCRP bombing.

any tips how i can do a 20km kill with guided bomb in Ground RB ?
this achievement on steam is just stupid
hmmm did they say laser or TV? It is doable with GBU-8 on F-16A, try it in test fly .. go to 35km away from the target then start turning to it, on 8000 meters altitude, go full speed with slight climb and when the target is 22km and you are at around Mach 1.05 hit the release button.
