Good gods, I've never feared the Tom Face until now... And as for mods to try out, I wouldn't mind seeing how Pixelmon goes with your crew. When Tom did it with his normal group... It... It didn't go well...
Agrarian Skies. I would LOVE to see this crew stuck on a Skyblock building the word out of essentially nothing but a tree. Also, I think a lot of people would appreciate links to where you get these mod packs from. I have this pack, but I remember looking for modpacks being a hassle, since I confused packs with launchers.
pro tip with caving:keep the torches on the side specifically to one side then you can have them be on the opposite side when heading back up to surface. Commonly noted as, "always put torches on left hand side to follow them back on right hand side."
My only concern with those packs is: They have to be REALLY coordinated in order to do it. Smacking each other off the world is a massive nono for Skyfactory, and the early parts of those packs are really grind-heavy prior to automation. They're also technically more expert level packs, which does not bode well for a group of people who play this game casually.
I agree. Sky Factory 3 is fairly grindy early game, but both SF3 and Stoneblock sort of progress you through the mods and using them which I think is a better than being thrown in an open world with mods and no direction on what to use them for. SF3 was the first modpack I played and its still my favorite. Thery also have the benefit of being quest/achievement driven so different folks can focus on different things. The would also keep the group more together in one central area which I think would be good for editing
@@PyraXadon Skyfactory 4 prevents death from falling into the void in the overworld. So, knocking people off the edge isn't as bad as it used to be, anymore. You also get a key to your tombstone that just puts everything from your inventory when you died back in the exact places they were in when you died. And that's also the one I was thinking they could do, especially since each tab in the progression is broken up into different groups of focus.
Uh...no... I don't think they should. Skyfactory (I don't know about Stoneblock, haven't played it, but it looks about the same) is really, REALLY grind heavy. Sure, a lot of it can be automated, but...I don't think that's the kind of modpack they want to play. They just want to sit down, have a fun time, and make a funny video. I don't think Skyfactory is the right kind of modpack for that.

Word of advice: For any sort of machinery mod, pay close attention to what sort of power each thing creates or needs. Personally I have encountered MJ, Minecraft Joule, EU, Energy Units, and RF, Redstone Flux. In my experience, RF is pretty common, at least in more "modern" mods. It's important to pay attention, as while some generators automatically convert to the right kind of power, others may need an adapter of some kind. If such an adapter even exists, that is. It's also important to know exactly how to pick things up again, some machinery can't be picked up without very specific tools, and even then I think there are some that just refuse to be pickupable. I remember one mod being very particular and annoying about this, I think it was Applied Energistics 2, but I don't fully recall.
Attack of the B-Team is one of my favorite modpacks! It has a bunch of weird stuff similar to Tekkit, but there's a lot you can do in terms of progression. It'd be fun as either a one-off episode or a long-term series!
Stephen you guys should do Skyfactory i would reccomend skyfactory 3 on the Twitch launcher or Direwolf20's mod pack on the same launcher Skyfactory for the challenge/small area you have and Direwof20's as a easy pack to learn what all the modpacks have as a basic setup without the challenge changes other modpacks do so you can more easily learn what does what with mods

12:40 that's a mineshaft. 26:17 yellowrite's used for powering reactors that give power but they need a large supply of yellowrite to go easily and it off loads a blue waste in ingot form. 27:46 too bd you guys don't have the smeltry stuff then you could've built it and gotten twice the metal supply.
There's a pack called feed the beast academy I think that should help you guys learn alot about mods the best way is to do it is to use the twitch launcher
Forestry is one of my favorite with how complex the bee keeping can get and its very fun trying to figure out how you can make bee that produce diamonds for you :D
More Minecraft? Yay! My personal recommendation would be the Pets mod (think that's what it's called), it's a cool mod that adds in these lil creatures called pets that you can find in chests around the world, and different pets do different things (e.g. a cow pet gives you milk, etc.). I think it'd be fun for y'all to try
A separate mod that you could check out is Pixelmon, it adds Pokemon and stuff but it doesn't cooperate well with other mods, it turns regular mobs into Pokemon, it makes it hard to get some stuff.
Awesome series guys! I love Tekkit Classic, but it is a bit broad to accomplish much if you don’t have a guide. I’d love to see more Tekkit return in the future though! After some other mod showcases
i believe there is a feature that allows y'all to keep your inventory if ya die, idk how you do it but its a thing i learned about cause of Toms Last adventure in Minecraft with the derps could save some headaches with losing stuff

Try rexxit, it's really fun and there is thousand of things to do and should go quickly since you are as many as you are. But just as a tip you should all learn how to use ToManyItmes, the basics of applied energistics, tinkers construct and have a guide for mekanism and mekanism generators. Good luck and have fun
I'm not sure if you guys downloaded any mods that have new mobs in it but if you do, I highly recommend getting the Morph mod. It allows you to morph into any mob you kill and gain it's abilities. The more mobs you kill, the more morphs you'll be able to use, which you can access in a menu and select it whenever you choose. You can always change back to normal as well. The Morph mod isn't limited to Vanilla Minecraft either, so if you were to kill a mob from a different mod, you would be able to transform into it. This can be really convenient for flying, as all you would have to do is find a flying mob and kill it to be able to fly everywhere. I recommend downloading a couple of animals/creatures mods as well to expand your morph options. If I'm wrong about any of this, feel free to let me know, as I'm not exactly an expert in the mod field.
Thaumcraft, Botania, Witchery, Equivalent Exchange All kinds of fun magic mods exist that could help chaos ensue especially if you are able to get far into them.
You should check out the FTB Academy mod pack, since your new to this it would be good for you since it will teach you about playing modded mine craft. If you want to learn about specific mods there is the Tegans guide series. You could also check out All The Mods 3 if you want a frankly ridiculous amount of stuff to be able to do.
i think u made a vlog video or maybe it was a mm question where u asked the same thing about mods. i know i recommended sky factory but another mod u guys can try is galatacraft. its like sky factory expect u start out in a normal world and the goal is to explore the other planets

Ok, Here Is My suggestion; Pixelmon Reforged. It has all the pokemon to date, and almost all the mechanics to boot, Including an alternate dimension, Ultra Space. It has a modpack in the Technic Platform, and is currently version 1.12.2
They're primarily aiming to be one-off videos highlighting different mods, but we'll be saving the server info if we'd like to make an episode 2 on anything in particular. Some of these modpacks obviously have a lot to offer, to we might be returning to them to show off more.
You should try Vein Miner, whenever you crouch and break in ore at the same time, it destroys all the connecting ore of that type. I use it and I got 2 stacks of coal in less than 5 minutes
I also prefer Tekkit Classic, but I wanted to start everyone with a relatively basic modpack that wasnt as far behind vanilla minecraft as Tekkit Classic is. We probably won't revisit Tekkit for a couple months, but maybe I can convince everyone to try my favorite tekkit modpack 😁
Wait a sec, why did you guys go back to 1.6.4? Mods have been out for 1.12 for a long time now, it's currently *the* modded version. In fact now we even have a modpack for beginners that teaches how the mainstream of modded Minecraft works, called FTB Academy

Mal actually tried to instill that in Stephen when they did their original gameplay years ago. It never stuck.

What FOV do you play Minecraft in? Whenever I play PC Minecraft in the default FOV, I get motion sick.

FTB Infinity is a well-rounded 1.7.10 modpack, and I enjoyed it with friends.
Watching this again and finding it funny that the old way of getting copper was from mods.And the copper in this is probably more useful.
