Thanks Melody for sharing, we R always under reconstruction 2 B more like Him. Shalom. The songs R still ministering 2 my heart & thank Yeshua for His grace & lovingkindness 2 carry us thru difficulties we face. Since as a new believer at 18 I desired to serve Him even tho I was an introvert, yet He used me in a way that astounded me. All glory belongs 2 Him who made us a miracle 2 others.

Keith touched a lot of lives, mine included. I fondly recall watching Keith in concert at Calvary Chapel, Downey CA. It was a blessing to hear him preach and sing. Quite a few of my favorite entertainers as well as ministers have died over the years - beginning before Keith's untimely passing and continuing to today when I am pushing 63. But only once in that time have I been shocked, saddened and moved to tears - that was with Keith. I can still recall exactly what I was doing and where I was. I had picked up my mail as I walked to the sick call on Camp Darby, Italy. I opened a letter from a friend and she had written of Keith's passing. Tears ran down my face. I have used his music in ministry especially in the late 70s to mid-80s.
I know that God took him home, and it is good to see the work you (Melody) and Keith started continue and grow. God's blessings on you. Thank you for sharing him with the world.

Such a sad moment for Melody considering the whole situation. She was pregnant with her and Keith's fourth child. She is an amazing woman! May God give her strength to keep up with the work of loving people and raising her children. I am sure the Christian community in Lindale was there for her and her two children.

Oh my father would have deeply deeply loved to see this before his death... He was so devoted to Keith Green. I was not around for most of his life, but he always talked and wrote about Keith, and when he passed on, he sent me his collection. Thank you Lord for showing Keith the way. His music is still listened to, cherished and loved....

How is it not a legal relationship. The way its presented is that you dont have to, but if you dont you'll go to hell. So it is presented as a legal relationship and an urgency. Christians try to take over your life and tell you how god speaks to you. Eventually the personal experience and relationship feels constantly critiqued by other Christians. I left church, became an atheist for 5 years after working as a hospice nurse, and then began to experience things again. All that outward pressure was off though.

@@jms4406 oh, you mean a relationship with God. Well, no one can force salvation. Sure, there ought to be a fear of judgment and condemnation. However, the Bible clearly says that no man can come unless drawn by the Spirit and that God will draw all men to come (but not all will by their own free will). If someone calls upon God believing, even if because of their fear of hell, if they truly believe then they're saved regardless. We are to warn people of the judgment and condemnation that abides on them as lost in unbelief, but we shouldn't try to necessarily scare people into making a decision, though knowing the reality of the situation should be sobering and terrifying for those who are not saved.

There is a lesson there for sure, don't hire a pilot that is not qualified to fly the plane you have, don't fly in a plane that is overloaded, 12 people on a SEVEN seater, and don't fly in a plane that is tail heavy! because they as you can see, tail heavy planes don't fly! being irresponsibility is what killed them all, not God or the Devil, it is however what the Devil would want I would imagine.

Yes I thought about this and thought about this so much. I want to say the extreme influence and impact Keith Green had on me when I first became a Christian! and wow, the book his wife wrote. Melody just did a great job bringing his life out on those pages.
The night of the crash was so crazy how they talked right before he left, especially him saying if he didn’t come back…. and how he spoke about Melody, and the great things she was going to do, and speak to the world, was like they knew. Keith said this in the worship service He led on there living room floor right before they left for the airstrip. It was crazy how it really was like Keith knew, even something inside melody knew something. I don’t know if you read the book but I highly recommend it, in case you’re not sure what I’m referring to in these statements it Goes into greater detail, about the unusual occurrence’s that day, and words spoken.
I know they were very irresponsible concerning the crash, especially the pilot, but I just have to believe that Gods foreknowledge, and giving Melody that scripture after- about if a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies all the more fruit it will bear…I’m not saying I believe it was meant to happen by any means. God just knew the good he was going to turn it into. And all the many more lives it was going to effect, allowing Keith’s death.
He did allow it, and could have stopped it. One writing about it I saw that was so well written., It said God rarely interrupts with the law of physics-Speaking of how the plane went down.
I have to find it, and reread it. He went on to say Keith got his ultimate desire to be with Jesus that night shortly after he had written the words in a song about getting to heaven. It’s like melody said, he didn’t care about being on this earth, he wanted to be with Jesus. He was not long for this earth and got his greatest longing /wish sooner, but it was a very sad occasion for those left behind to miss him and not have him here on earth.
At the end of the day though, I believe it was just that, an accident. Yes I believe too the devil enjoyed it happening, but again, he’s so stupid, just like he enjoyed Jesus being crucified, but he didn’t have the power to cause either event to happen. God allowed them both for the greater cause. He always takes what Satan meant for harm and turns it to good.
