Thank you for sharing your amazing family's story.
What an amazing story! Your parents are incredible, as are you for embodying their dream, with grace and gratitude!
Actually the Cheng family’s story is a true reflection of many immigrants’ American dreams. If they can realize their American dreams from 0 dollars in their pockets, why cannot you do yours?
Lack of work ethic.
@@megshimatsu8615Its funny "shimatsu", youre probably a Boba Asian Lefty Sellout talking your crap.
Came across this unexpectedly. Thanks for sharing such an inspirational family story, Kimberly Cheng!
Love her story it was absolutely beautiful and wow her parents and family are just inspirational ✌️
Wow, such a beautiful story ❤
Hollywood resilience? Keep patting yourself on the back.
😂😂😂😂 literally im like rolling my eyes
Thanks Kimberly for sharing your family story. It’s an inspiring family story which reflected ours too. As a first generation immigrant, I’m so proud of being an American. This great country is blessed by God and provides everyone opportunities to succeed.
Wow. Such an inspirational story Kim. My wife’s family had almost a mirror image of your family’s story. From escaping Cambodia and ending up in SoCal and owning a donut shop. Thanks for representing the Khmer community!
Does Kimberly speak cambodian with her parents? Or English? Or mix both at the same time ? Just wondering 🤔.
I'm sure can understand more than speaking just like any typical Khmer American speaking Khmerish.
Who cares
Thank you, Kimberly, that's a very inspiring story.
Your parents must be very proud
Fantastic. Now make us all a sandwich.
My roommate said same thing also said she looks like adult Star "Melissa moore"
Lmaooooo 😆 🤣 😂 😹
I bet she has a white husband
Wait! I thought America was systemically racist? This story is proof how great this country is if you’re not a lazy victim
Love Kim and her story.
Wow what a privilege to go to the observatory as a kid and saying you were “poor” idk … i lived in la as a kid my parents were immigrants and we could NEVER afford to go. Ive never wven been to hoppywood yet im 23 lol i work 24/7 … I never even seen the hollywood in person lol good for yall tho
Lame low key hate, lol
Is that why she is so gorgeously beautiful Khmer girl 😇🙏
Loved this story about Kimberly and her family.
Hello Ms. Cheng, who do you pray to?
Gorgeous beautiful
I wanna open up donut shop, baguette shop, and noodle shop too.
Really great story, heartwarming. Go Kim go!

Mardhall ain’t Hollywood she’s from los feliz not Hollywood
A truly inspiring story! Thank you for sharing
Growing up in the 90806, we grew up with Khmer people. By the 80s they opened donut shops all over Ca. Great people and best donuts are made by Khmer people.
I know that donut shop that we’re all the old Latinos and filippine old guys hang out
I watch the news because of her😊
Love this
Amazing story of persistance and sucess! 👏👏🙏🙏
Hard work but never encountered racist, wow
That's a great life story!👍
These kind of stories really touches my heart always. The sad thing about this kind of stories. Is the fact that so many people who are born here in the United States don’t even realize how lucky they are to be born here and do not have to go through most immigrants have to go through to achieve the American Dream. All they do is complain and think that they are all entitled for the American Dream and just be handed to them. And those same people blames for immigrants to be taking their jobs when they don’t even want to work hard start from the bottom and work their way up.
Absolutely right.
She looks about 30s age
You got to be kidding me right lady that's your story that is not a la story
Great family!
A pure so.cal gal , u go girl
I love that story
LOL When an Asian pretending to be White #modelminority #bleachhair
Get over that old views of Asian American wanting to be other than themselves. All I know is she doing a great job as a broadcaster representing not just Khmer American, but as an American.
Why only Asian? Indians, Latinos and Africans from Africa all speak and act this way being born in America. Hair bleaching is common in any race, including white people. You just can’t stand Asians being happy huh lmao
I don’t see any pretending. I see an individual who grew up with sacrificial parents who raised her well, and ended up becoming a successful news reporter after a prestigious education. More success to her and her family ❤
Give it a rest, fool. Shes probably not even a Boba. At least attack a legit Boba- they always hated their own skin and Asian Features openly, no matter how much "stop Asian Hate" fake virtue signaling they do today.
She grew up in Hollywood, what do you expect. There was Asian Flight from most of Hollywood once people started moving to Orange County and Monterey Park.
