This team was the strongest all-around team I had ever seen. Goaltending being the only sore spot. The most lethal offense the San Jose Sharks had ever iced. Too bad Karl, and Simmy got injured. We always seem to run into a team that is just playing better. This was truly our year to win the Stanley Cup...Now in March 2021 it's all a distant memory.
Here I am watching this in the middle of an abysmal 2019-2020 season. Last season was our chance to win it all...Always seems to be another team thats just hotter. No Doubt if Simek, and Karlsson were healthy We would have beat the Blues.

The fact that there wasn’t a single goaltending highlight until more than half way through the video is depressing man... cuz it sums up the season so well
@@matthewsalazar4553Exactly Game 2 would have been won if the refs didn’t call that Bullsh*t goalie interference call on Couture. If everything went as planned in the series. Tomàs Hertl shorty is the series winner. Game 7 doesn’t happen. Pavelski never gets injured.
I'll come back to this video now and then, just to remember how much fun this season really was. Hope all you other Sharks fans are hanging in there, it's not easy these days lol
Hopefully we can beat the Blues tomorrow and Saturday to give some revenge, 1 and 1 for the season so far, and 2 wins would definitely help us catch up a little, 17 points would put us in front of Arizona
@@skippydinglechalk9194 very true. I think the Ducks and Kings will find ways to play themselves out of contention. The Coyotes have looked decent as of late, but I don’t think that’s sustainable. The Wild are scarier now than in years past, but they could totally find a way to screw it up. The Sharks just need to find an identity, I feel like I’m watching a team that doesn’t know who it is again
@@skellyctw4085 very true, I think so much traveling around for the beginning of the season has messed with us, but now that we’re playing some games at San Jose, we’ll have time to recompose ourselves
Everybody saying goaltending was a problem is crazy Jones led sharks to the cup finals his first season and was the only reason they beat vegas setting a sharks goaltending record for most saves in a playoff game with 58 he had rough moments every one does but he was not the problem
I miss this season & year so much. That season was an absolute thriller of a year almost every game was exciting & intense to watch. This hockey team with an healthy Erik Karlsson would have probably won the cup that year just depends on how this team approached the Blues the series. I hope this rebuild goes smoothly though.

I watch this once a week to remember the good ol times
I'm so grateful to have been able to experience game 7 at the tank.
Lucky!!!
I got gyped by game time but I was so happy to watch with my friends! What an epic game I'll never forget
lucky i live in maine i wont be able to see a game for like 15 years lol

My dad called after the OT win in Vegas where Randy yelled "Jackpot!" and said "I want to go that Game 7." Thanks dad!

We're going to miss pavelski big time.
Don't forget Gustav and joonas
@@virgoinc1 losing Joonas Donskoi definitely hurt more than Gustav Nyquist. But man oh man I would have rather kept Pavelski over Erik Karlsson
Thats why I want Dallas to win the cup this year. I really miss the sharks either way though :/
At least we have karlsson
@@myplumber2154 well he’s the reason we lost pavs
Glad you had the announcers and didn't put some horrible loud music
Thornton’s hat trick was ruined against Boston.
So was game 2 against vegass...they would've won it but the refs helped the sympathy knights
@@matthewsalazar4553 That pisses me off to this day. At least game 7 made up for that atrocious goaltender interference.

2nd greatest Sharks moment of all time and probably the greatest hockey game I've ever seen. Unreal.

There is an alternate reality out there where the Sharks won several Cups between 2009-2019 but unfortunately it is not the one we live in :(
I fucking love the sharks commentators

Was this the “3 weeks Karlsson best in the world” year?

Everyone always talks about the 5 min powerplay - Never that Vegas was up 3-1 and lost game 6 on a weak overtime goal........
I feel like if we werent fucked by the refs we would have won the whole damn thing and would have kept goody, pavs, donski, and braun
