      @@greyinsight oh my god thank you for reminding me of this comment! I barely passed it and got in, currently cramming for a stats exam in two days. Practice makes everything, and uni level math is fun once you start seeing the patterns, it will always feel confusing at first but that's for everyone.
      Do you have a curriculum you're following? And do you have a test you need to pass to get in? Structuring your learning is everything imo and that's something I had to learn the hard way. If you have the time left before the semester I rec reading up on real analysis if you have it in the first semester like we did, it's literally calculus but built from the ground up. Took me personally a long time to get used to the change in framework from computation to proofs. Also, if you don't understand something, look for another resource, you're already using chat gpt right?

    • @greyinsight
      @greyinsight 5 місяців тому

      @@chrono4998
      Currently unsure of any tests to enter any universities, I'm just self-teaching through a myriad of resources as of now. I utilize Chat-GPT for inquiries to further my knowledge of the concepts I'm learning. The structure I'm following is through a few free websites like Khan Academy, so I have a roadmap to follow. I'm in between moves, so it's been difficult overall to focus on academics.
      Regarding computation and proofs, I enjoy the process of computation just as much as proofs, but for me, I must be proficient in computations before comprehending the processes behind proofs. Chat-GPT assists me in that facet.
      What also is tremendously beneficial was understanding the history of each discovery and how it came to be, it just kindles great curiosity to each new concept I'm introduced to, how they were established as axioms just fills me with reverence for the field.
      I'm not enrolled in any colleges or universities as of now but I get the feeling though when Im actually introduced into the environment of a university it's going to be stressful. :( But I made a personal vow that this is something I desired more than anything. Been curious of our place within the cosmos since birth, and physics is the entrance to the realm of discovery.

      subtracting 9x instead of 8x would make x negative. it just saves the step of making x positive at the end.
      9x - 6 = 8x + 28
      subtract 28 from both sides
      9x - 34 = 8x
      >then subtracting 9x from both sides
      -x = -34
      multiply or divide both sides by -1
      x = 34, same answer

      i think it should be "finding HIS x so he should move on and forget HER," because in biology, only males have Y chromosomes, get it?😅

    -3(3) will turn into -9. How did you get -3? 15:19
    The answer is undefined in this equation. Why? Because -3^2x-1/3^2x is equals to -1^-1 or in other words -1. 1-1=0 and that will make the equation undefined.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

      You dont want to touch the base 3 since you're basically just adding and subtracting stuff in the exponent thanks to that. Im not sure why u mentioned -3(3). Where is that in this equation? Theres only -3^-1 here and he got that from factoring 3^2x with the other negative 3.

      @@Qopa Eh? It should be 3^2x(1-1^-1)?

      @@shizuchuan oh you're right. He fucked up the factoring lol. He kept -3 as 3 instead of -1 to the power of -1

I'm trying to do my 1st year physical chemistry at University of Toronto even though I've never taken Gr.12 chemistry or any of the Gr12 maths lol. I know I reaally really should have taken the time to complete those highschool courses first before enrolling myself into a university chemistry course but it is what it is now and I'm just going to try and survive through the course by watching your channel!!! :')

    I got an answer of -x=34 example no.3 (4:24) - which also also a correct answer as x=34.
    My question is why does x=-34 is WRONG when -x=34 is Correct?
    I mean -x=34 divide both sides by --1 is x=-34.
    Can anybody explain it? Thanks
