      @@CLUELESS_GAME the 'parent' would just be 2^x, and the 'child' would be whatever transformation was applied to that 'parent' graph, i believe. So you would need to graph 2^x, and (for example) 3^(x-1). I hope thats what you meant.

    I know we say this a LOT! But honestly, we're so lucky to have him, I literally just sat at several classes there not knowing what the professor was doing (as he didn't even explain well or write down how he got the graph results, he just plotted the graph) and now I understand in 10 minutes!!!       @@jonathanmersha4901 we have all had teachers that can't teach. At my school, the maths teachers are not that great. I went from a 65 to a 85 just from watching UA-cam videos on maths. They explain it a lot better.

      my teacher was like "now that you all understand it we are going to be moving on" and then we all said we didnt understand it at all and she basically just said we should know how to do this already. keep in mind shes teaching this to 13 year olds on a monday and we are in an algebra 1 class, not algebra 2?!?!

    In addition to the two points, It is also better to find the x-intercept by equating the function to zero for a more accurate graph

      Exponential functions don't always have an X-intercept though so you have to be careful.
