I completely agree about your frustration with certain parts of the panning community. I found myself getting super overwhelmed with projects and I just realised one day “why are you feeling pressured by some arbitrary rule that you put on yourself?! Just stop. Makeup is supposed to be fun!” So I took items out and changed goals, took a break etc. Nobody cares but me lol. All I want is for my collection to look more loved, my goal isn’t necessarily to reduce what I own just to show love across more products! It’s fun again that way.
Exactly! Own it! Next yr I'm going to do no pan left behind and project 10 uses (maybe solely on blushes, maybe not) just so I can get use, not focus in using up!
@laurathemakeuphunter1915 I find that I get bored very quickly with panning projects. I have some goals I set for the year. but find that I still switch out my makeup when I just get tired of using the same stuff. I sometimes force myself to use a palette I haven't used in a while, but if I feel like its not really what I want to use, I put to the side, if i don't think about again in a month, I declutter to someone who will use. I no longer want to "store" makeup. I'm not a warehouse, I want to enjoy what I have and use it organically, If I finish it great, it opens up the opportunity to try something new. Happy panning Laura.
@@sylviabanks6141 panning has been amazing to help with decluttering! I think when you get this idea that you ‘have to’ use something you really figure out what you want to keep around. I’ve been doing a 30 day minimal makeup bag and that has been super eye opening about what I truly love using!
Love getting to know you more and more ❤ and I love that you have yourself permission to unsubscribe from panners (and other creators) that didn’t align with you! I have done that occasionally too and it’s freeing.
I love that you were brave with that eyeshadow! You make a lot of sense on the topic of panning, I’m not a panner but I do wonder if panners overload themselves with projects because otherwise they wouldn’t have consistent content to upload 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Aimee, I'll be following your IG panning account. I only post my empties on mine to keep track of what I've used up. This was the year to use up my stuff. I've given a lot of makeup away. I fell into the overconsumption group. I had way way more than I could ever use in my life. Probably had enough for my great grand kids, I don't have any grandkids yet. Anyway. I'm finally at a place that I don't feel the pull to buy even through I like what I see. I've been using a lot of skincare, which I think most of us do. So my #'s have been going down in that category. I've used a few foundations, primers, eyeliners, brow pencils, mascaras. I know I will never use up a palette because I tend to rotate through them, maybe a shadow or two I'll hit pan but that's about it. It usually takes me about 45 mins to do my makeup, I haven't been able to cut the time down. If I have to, I can do a minimal look in 15 mins. but its not my preferred. Anyway, great GRWM & chitchat. Take care and God Bless you!

I love One Tree Hill! It's been years since I've seen it, but I would love to rewatch all of it again 😍
It's so good! I have cheated and googled how it ends!
This was so fun! Thank you for the shout out.
Always friend!

Thank you! I'm enjoyed getting to know you too! Your cool toned looks always inspire me to branch out of my warm zone!

I really think that's why some panners do so many projects. Just for content purposes!
I also started panning projects before my channel 😊
Fun!
I was the whining project panner!😂😂😂 yay! I did change! Thank you for seeing that!❤
@@teacherlovesbeauty no not you!!
I had a different person in mind!

Isn't it funny how long makeup lasts! I'm glad you've gotten in a Grove and letting go of things you don't want anymore!
I think I'm gonna start doing the painter's tape trick bc I can't track my stuff any other way so far lol
So much easier!!
