I too want the new Optiq, but every dealer I’ve talked to doesn’t know when they will get one. You said you ordered one but they tell me you can place a specific order, but it will be put on a list and when it’s available you don’t know where your order is on the list. Are you in the U.S. and did you get the $7500 tax credit? What color combination did you order? Thanks
Depends what you consider 'cold ' With all EVs you should consider ⅓ off from the "promised" or advertised range when it goes below -20°C or so. One can reduce the effect if you precondition your car before. Lvl 2 in your home is a must and takes the stress away.
Good point. Wish they gave this at least 50 more hp and a rear wiper. The Lyriq has a bigger battery that is available on the Blazer in certain configurations. Guessing that’s why they can give it more hp and maintain the range. Otherwise I think they did a good job of differentiating it for the Equinox EV.
The Optiq is not the same size as the XT4. It is roughly the same as the XT5. The level 2 trims come with a head-up display. You are showing a level 1 trim.
I was actually impressed by the driver interior space of the Optiq. I have a Lyriq and I'm comfortable in it, although I'm a tall and big guy. I expected the Optiq to be smaller and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. The Optiq, however for some reason loses the XT4's massage seats while the new XT4 gained the Optiq's infotainment but doesn't get supercruise. Cadillac isn't serious. They refuse to swing for the fences. And that's the biggest problem I have with my Lyriq. Rear headrest monitors should be optional and for an Android based system, you aren't allowed to watch UA-cam/videos or use the web on that big touchscreen. The Escalade has it though. It's ridiculous that the CT6 had more features and then they discontinued it in America while updating it to the Lyriq interior in China. Someday all the bean counters at Cadillac will get FIRED and they'll compete with Mercedes and BMW.
Note, the Cadillac Optiq is closer in size to the XT5, not the XT4, Cadillac will need a true subcompact EV SUV, here are the specs of the Optiq, XT5, and XT4 (all in inches): 2025 Cadillac Optiq: L - 189.8, WB - 116.3, W - 75.3, H - 64.7, F LR - 41.6 / R LR - 37.8 2024 Cadillac XT5: L - 189.6, WB - 112, W - 74.9, H - 66.1, F LR - 41.2 / R LR - 39 2024 Cadillac XT4: L - 181.1, WB - 109.4, W - 76.7, H - 64.1, F LR - 41.1 / R LR - 39.5
Not convinced that it won’t need a rear wiper. The Ioniq 5 has a rear wiper now after claiming is was unnecessary. The Equinox EV has one and it’s the same car.
On par with the Toyota Venza. The Venza doesn't have massaging seats but has instant sunroof that frosted to help bloack the sun but let diffused sunlight in. This is electric while the Venza is gas but gets 40-50mpg which is better for longer trips.
Not a lot of value in the base model, for such a high price. Not sure if it'll do well in the American market but if it's sold in Europe, it would probably be popular due to size and range.
Cadillac has found a identity with electric vehicles
Yeah I honestly think their EV'S look better than their ICE vehicles
Don't know why the doesn't sell the same body for their ice vehicle @@Carfan678
Absolutely. They seem to have gotten it right compared to many automakers who chose to chase Tesla.
Thanks for the video! We just ordered an Optiq without seeing one in person. This really solidifies our decision. We’re excited for it to come in.

Just test drove one today. Smooth, quiet ride. And the seat massage...ahhh! I'm in love!
They’re definitely a nice ride!
@@Daggeeto You must be in Canada?
I like the idea of using recycled materials to make the interiors. Definitely gives them a new and modernized look and feel.
Where did you get the $45k price.they start at $55k?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out too lol?
1 year used 15K; fastest depreciating Koolaid !
I believe he said $45K is US price.

nice, laid-back review. Can't wait to get one
How does the battery range hold up in cold weather? 🥶

Nice. It's a Equinox EV turned Cadillac. Same battery specs / 300HP. Lyric is a Blazer EV turned Cadillac but has over 500HP.

Charge port door so much better than the one on the Lyriq.

The Optiq is an Equinox, the Lyric is the Blazer,
Looks SO MUCH BETTER than XT5!
It’s basically a Equinox EV wearing Cadillac design. Same platform etc.
The bad alignments around the headlights and fenders

Interesting take! You’re definitely right about the CT6, what a beautiful car they discontinued!
@@6ixthGear Most current Lyriq buyers would rather have a loaded CT6.

The problem with the Optiq is its low DC charge speeds which won’t be good for road trips.

Hi, which showroom is this at?
Applewood GM in Mississauga, Ontario!
Oh, no worries. It's Applewood Cadillac. Thanks.
@@6ixthGear thanks for the video. I will visit the showroom.
@@somsamanta3498 Sounds good! They just built a brand new Cadillac dealership, it’s beautiful!
Manual fold-down rear seats are disappointing on a $46k Caddy in 2025. However, it does look nice aesthetically.
This Cadillac is a cross between the XT5 and Chevrolet blazer and they’re still selling cars with no spare tires and asking a ridiculous prices .
GM is going to get rid of the XT4 for this when it gets less range than the ice version
Is this yet another Blazer EV, Prologue, ZDX clone with same Ultium Infrastructure? Same charge port location even…..
Can you order the vehicle with a solid black rear quarter window, instead of the design??
Been wondering the same thing 😅

@timhighbaugh8496 well maybe i can just black tint it out

GM can we get some hybrids for the love of God
It is a good price. i mean, its impossible for me to buy it but at least tesla is getting more competition.
The no rear wiper is reason enough not to buy.
What’s up under the hood ?!
Sarting at 45k is midrange specs compared to Chinese EVs at that price.

We would like something Model Y sized but with more softer ride and luxery so yes.
Nice! Good price.
Ah yes the "affordable" and "cheap" $45,205 USD. Anybody who considers a $45K car cheap might have suffered a head injury.
When was the last time you shopped for a "luxury" car? How much did it cost when you shopped?
In this day and age, $45k for a luxury branded EV is considered cheap.
No frunk no sale. They had the space but clearly cheaped out.
@@rabeahkarram9689 There’s no frunk in ice cars either.
@ we Arnt buying an ICE car though. There is tons of space to fit one in that hood area. Trust me once you have a frunk you can’t go back.

Cheap only 150,000 dollars
It's atmos sound too
Waaaay better music
