You are a wonderful teacher. I noticed your hands and nails are clean and polished making it pleasant to watch you work. Your detail in construction of this pocket is thorough and easily understandable. I really enjoyed this tutorial and I will be making this project.
Sadly I’ve tried several ways to print your pattern out on card stock, but it just won’t print. Is this a 6” circle you used?
Thank you so much☺️
Excellent design and one of the best tutorials I have ever seen. And FYI awl = all.
Thank you so much☺and that makes way more sense, I'm now laughing at myself for calling it an owl haha thanks for letting me know!
You have the most soothing voice. Thanks for your beautiful project tutorials.
Thank you! I used to be a bit nervous speaking on camera so that's really nice to hear☺️
You are a natural teacher. I watch a lot of craft videos and your instructions are clear and concise and easy to understand. I can't wait to try this project. Thank you!

Thank you so much☺️ It's definitely funny looking back, especially because I called it an owl instead haha! You may have already made the pouch as I'm replying a few weeks later, but happy sewing I hope you enjoy sewing it❤️

Thank you for the free templates. It all is pronounced all just to let you know.
I love your projects and the fabric you use ,are they available on etsy
Adoreable.
Found measurements, thanks.😊
Thank you so much☺️ I hope you can find a pair of pinking shears where you are, they are awesome! But enjoy sewing the project, I’m sure yours will be lovely!
Great video tutorial. New subscriber here. Thank you for the pattern.
So cute
Que bonito trabajo!!! Gracias por compartir . 😊

Love this bag!!! I cannot find fusible fleece 986 anywhere!!! Is 987 going to work ok or should I use a medium weight interfacing? Thank you.
987 Fusible Fleece will work too! I used Pellon 987F for the one in the video as I ran out of 986F and it worked just fine. Happy Sewing:)
I just found your Etsy site and ordered this pattern. Excited to make these! Can a normal nylon zipper be cut down and used for these? I haven’t used zipper by the yard yet and would like to use what I have on hand.
Hello! Yes a normal closed end nylon zipper can be used too. You can either cut it down to remove both stops, or add your tab just after the larger stop where the zipper is closed and remove the other one. I hope you enjoy the project☺️
FYI ‘awl’ is pronounced like ‘all’.
This is a lovely project. I have a friend it is perfect for.
As in “crawl”.
Thank you, I'll be sure to remember for next time😊
Great tutorial and a very cute pouch. I am not sure the pattern is printing at the right size. Can you give me son a measurement for reference? Thank you
Thank you! I saw your other comment I’m glad you found them, happy sewing☺️
Do you have a larger version of this pouch? Something that could be used as a cross body bag? That would be great with this design. TY
Hello! I don't currently have a larger version of the pouch, but that is a great idea and I may consider making one in the future!
Where did you get these fabrics from please? I love the woodland one. X
Hello! I typically get my fabrics from Sewers Club, Hawthorne Supply Co., and Skeleton Key Supply on Etsy. The fabric I used in the video is Little Forest by Nina Stajner, it's linked in the description box. The other woodland sample is Wood You Be Mine by Clara Jean Design for Dear Stella. Hope this helps:)
Terrific tutorial!!!!! I love this. Are your name tags sewn on or fused? If sewn on do they frey? Thank you.
Thank you😊 They’re fused on, but I also sew around for extra strength because the fusing sometimes lifts overtime.
Just Perfect!!!! One more question. The zipper. I see the link for it. You buy it in yardage and cut it to 4.5"? I did not know you can cut a zipper. New to this and thank you.@@torieandren
@@inkydinkydottieglue8919 Yes the zippers are continuous so you can buy them by the yard. Some come in packages with a set yardage and the pulls included. I prefer the packages by Sallie Tomato, the pulls go on very easily. Since they’re nylon, you can just cut them down to size and add the pulls. Hope this helps:)
Thank you. Ordered it @@torieandren
Where did you buy your hand pliers to apply the fashion snaps.I have been looking for one to apply metal snaps.
Hello! I bought my pliers on amazon because I was in a bit of a time crunch. I can no longer find the listing to link here, but KAM Snaps also sells pliers and tools for snaps.
Thank You@@torieandren
Can you tell me where you get your printed labels please? I love this little pouch!
Hello:) I got my custom labels from a seller on Etsy called GroomsdayHK. It's their 25 x 25mm Iron On Cotton Labels.
I am making this one for myself but wondering if I could make a second one without the flap? Thoughts anyone?
this is adorable ! ... but every time I click the link for the pattern, it takes me to a blank page!?? can you help me please. and thanks.
Thank you:) If you'd like, you can send me an email at torieandren@gmail.com and I'd be happy to email the templates to you.
Lindo projeto. Amei.
Sew Cute!
Wondering if it could be made without the flap
Just found you channel and love the project but I have a question is there any way you can show the sewing part
I would love to one day show the sewing part during the tutorials, but currently I don't have a second camera or enough space for another angle. But fingers crossed that one day I can🤞
Vielen Dank
Hello☺️ The straight edges are about 16.5cm. Hope this helps!
thanks for the thorough tutorial. By the way, "awl" rhymes with 'Paul'. The "aw" sounds like the 'aw' in the word paw'.
Thank you for letting me know😌
Fantastic video!! Thank You!! BTW, pronounced “all”. Why I have no clue but awl is said as all.
Thank you! I appreciate you letting me know:)
That would be the perfect little zipper pouch for a wallet.
Amei esta peça. Meu nome é Iara e sou de Curitiba/Paraná/Brasil. Amei❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Lara! I’m so glad you like it❤️
Do you have a link to the green with white flower fabric and the brown swade used in this piece? Thank you
Hello! I believe this is the link for the green flower fabric: adventuresinfabric.ca/products/countryside-comforts-floral-green?_pos=11&_sid=13fcdbeb4&_ss=r I unfortunately don't have a link for the suede I get it in store. Hope this helps:)
Thank you. I’m new. Very new to sewing. I have been watching your videos and very impressed with the level of detail you give. It really helps with a newbie
I'm so glad they're helpful! If you ever have any questions while sewing any of the projects, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message and I'd be happy to help out:)
I'm new to your channel and I really love this little pouch (bought the pattern on etsy). Do you think foam such as By Annie's Soft and Stable would be too bulky instead of the fusible fleece?
Hello! It's great to have you here and thank you for getting the pattern☺I haven't tested this project with foam, but it may be alright with some adjusting. I can provide some suggestions here for each of the pieces if you'd like?
@@torieandren If you are willing to, that would be great! I have the sew in foam currently but no fusible fleece atm.
I'm happy to! I haven't tested this, but this is what I would try with sew in foam. If anyone else has any suggestions to add feel free to! I apologize in advance for the lengthy read.
I recommend using quilting cotton for Print C instead of faux suede/leather to reduce some of the bulk in the zipper seams, especially where the flap is located.
Cutting the foam:
Bottom Template - To reduce bulk, I suggest trimming the seam allowance off the paper template then cutting your 2 pieces of foam to that size. Since the foam is sew in, you will need to center it with your fabric then quilt it. If you have temporary spray adhesive, such as 505 Spray Adhesive, this will help with keeping it in place.
Pocket Template - Since we removed the bulk from the bottom template you can cut 1 piece of foam using the Pocket Template, ignoring the cut on fold line because we only need it to be half the size. You can put it inside the folded pocket piece. It will get sewn in the seam allowance around and with the top-stitch on the folded edge.
Flap Template - Cut 1 piece of foam with the Flap Template facing up. You can quilt this piece to the corresponding Print B Flap piece or have it only sewn in with the seam allowance and top-stitch.
If you need to reinforce the snaps more on the pocket and flap, cut a 1" square of foam and add it inside the pocket and flap pieces when installing the snaps.
For the Print C Accent Pieces still cut (2) 2” × 6½” of foam. Although the top edge won't get sewn into the seam allowance, it will get sewn in with the top-stitch afterward. You can also quilt these pieces if you wish to.
I really hope this helps! As I said before I haven't tried this myself, but I hope it works out well. Have a great rest of your night and happy sewing!
@@torieandren Thanks so much for the detailed suggestions. I will definitely try them. Looking forward to more patterns from you. I'll absolutely be a repeat customer!
The awl is pronounced ‘all’ but it’s also called a stiletto 😊 Nice tutorial for a pretty little pouch, thank you.
Thank you for letting me know, I never knew it was also called a stiletto that's really cool! But thank you I'm so happy you liked the tutorial❤️
Do you have a video showing how you make your binding?
Hello! I show how I generally do my binding in this video ua-cam.com/video/EQm12mt1ct4/v-deo.htmlsi=SSAHND8fJ-Xh57Dp at 26:27. In this video, I hand sew it, but I sometimes machine sew it too depending on the project.
Thanks for the detailed instructions. FYI Awl is pronounced 'all'. Confusing, I know, but that's English!
Haha it is a bit confusing, but I’m grateful for the comments letting me know, thank you so much☺️
Cute design. And the tool is pronounced "all".
Thank you and I really appreciate you letting me know😌
Cool
Just seen these on sale under “dremmie” is this you or a fake site using your design? 😮
It’s a fake site:( Unfortunately different websites have been selling the pattern without permission claiming it as their own. Thank you for letting me know about this one I’ll look into the site and see if I can report it🤞
Obrigado
Hello there:) Although I am Portuguese, I don't speak the language so I won't be able to translate the video.
❤❤❤
Hello:) I apologize, but I only speak English so I won't be able to translate the video.
Awl is pronounced "all."
