- With the Maple Leafs losing their last six playoff games on home ice, and Bryan Hayes in the building for all six, a petition has been started to keep Hayes out of the building for Game 6. Hayes joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss his plans for Game 6, Sheldon Keefe’s comments, and what he expects on Thursday night. Hayes also chats John Schneider and his inability to show frustration in the Blue Jays.

Is it just me, or does it seem like this team almost needs one of the 34, 16, 91, 88, or 44 to be out in order to play better? Leaf Fans are in denial that Matthews is a playoff disappointment at centre. The Leafs might likely win with Domi at First Centre again - in place of Matthews. Matthews generates between 33% to 50% assists only compared to the current top NHL assist leaders. Matthews has serious deficiencies Leaf Fans deny just because he is an elite sniper - at the expense of any playoff runs. 😀

No one can ever accuse this Leafs Core 4 of being well designed and well structured and successful in the playoffs. Those are basically the reasons why the Leafs are better off with Domi as their first line Centre. Matthews is weak in generating assists. He is better used as a winger.

According to him, home ice & fan base don't really matter in his team philosophy or team training. He fatally believes his group can play anywhere, on any ice where sucess will ultimately rest on player skill that coaching can solve. FALSE!
Place & home matter in life. Home ice advantage & fan base matter unless Keefer's training a homeless bunch of brain washed cult followers who all feel secure with $10,000 in their pockets at any given time across the globe.
Keefer is & should be worried about home ice since he started training his club that it is not necessarily an advantage. This top down message should make any club's coach worried. This is why leafs loose at home. This is why Keefer's philosophy is toxic to this young group of talented players. This top down toxic idea is ultimately why Keefer is worrying his job hangs from a thread!
