@Roxanne L Initially because of the the snow, there is no snow in western Russia or Belarus as of now.
I have now tried to translate the channel name to Russian, and found the main channel.

I didn’t see it, until his father smiled.
I wish for Dima only the good things live has.
I wish he could come to USA for surgery.
I was born with congenital vertebral malformation not unlike Dima.

I'm a Russian speaker and what I got from it is that his father prefers to be alone, away from the family. That's why when he was offered a new phone, he refused because that would give him an easier way to communicate and he wouldn't be able to make more excuses to stay isolated from his family.

    • @Maximer77
      @Maximer77 2 роки тому +19

@@Flying_Lexus I found it discouraging that he did not take the phone. He was given an opportunity to be somewhat of a father in his last days, but he declined this opportunity. As a father myself I found myself quite cynical of Dima's father. If he truly did feel guilty for his children would he want, in at least some small way, try to correct it? Truly shameful, imo.

Dima's not entitled and spoiled like much of America grew up. Both cultures are sad and warped-I blame the domestication of humans that starts at the bottom-schools, uninformed families, churches who "teach" by fear and not by love as Jesus did. All of humanity deserves all the same bounties of our earth that was created to care for all our needs. But way back people started to dominate people to their harm. There should no partiality among our global family as it's proven that the dna for ALL HUMANS can be traced back to one woman. We truly are one family-now where's the love?

No, because he left a drunk, alcoholic woman he couldn't stand BUT left an innocent child to live with her. The father never, ever helped Dima, wrote to him, took care of him, asked if his son was okay, never came back to see him or cared for him. Dima had to face lifes difficulties all by himself, handicapped and became an orphan even though the father was alive.
I don't think this parent has "admirable" qualities, just because he didn't want to speak bad about dead people.
Btw, the father also refused the possibility to have phone calls from Dima. Or to be able to call Dima himself.

We do not know what happened there. Looking at Dima's age and his father ending up in Belarus he was most likely born around the time of the dissolussion of the Soviet Union. Unless one was there when it happened, one cannot have an opinion but only imagine the chaos that ensued. It was a catastrophe for the people. In a nutshell, many people suddenly found themselves abroad. Like Dima's father.
So just take a moment and put yourself in the shoes of these people whose lives suddenly fell apart. And the lawlessness.
As President Putin summed up: those who are happy that the Soviet Union fell apart have no heart. Those who wish it to be restored have no brains.

I think a written letter would be more precious to him, more tangible than a phone call,it's been in his sons hands,so when he touches it with his own hands,it's like he's touching his son,and it's something he can take out again, read over again,or just hold when he wants to feel close to his son.

I watched the intro and started crying…I haven’t even gotten through half of it yet but my heart is full watching Sergei’s acts of kindness spread and impact so many people in such a positive way. None of us know your heart before we found your channel Sergei, but you have brought more hope and comfort to people all over the world than you will ever truly know. You remind all of us of the power of kindness and that small acts have large ripple effect that spread throughout the world. I hope you know how beautiful you and your actions are, not just to us but also to God. Thank you Sergei, and our love to Dima and all your friends!🌻❤️🙏

The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.
We are never really alone. We have a Spirit Guide who loves us and helps us through our intuition. When we feel a little nudge to do something, that's our guide helping us along. Most people don't know but it's truly our greatest relationship of all.

Very sweet video! His dad was over the moon happy to see him! So glad he was able to go visit him and forgive him. It seems his mother left the father, but it seems he said no more about why. It was very kind of him to not speak bad about her though! I pray he is able to visit him again as our elderly are some of our most forgotten! I do volunteer work with the elderly and some never have visitors. So, to just sit with them and talk for a time means the world to them! Thank you so much for having a giving heart and helping this young man and so many others! Much love from Oklahoma USA.
