Hey if those speed sensors fail and it continues to go into limp mode, change the ecm. I did this with a junkyard ecm for $35.00 and it runs great! It's been about 15K miles and doing great.
Super helpful video, thanks for putting it together! I haven't been able to find a lot of repair content on these transmissions for some reason. You should really make more videos like this, you're good at it!
Thanks for your video... it has helped Tremendously. I was pretty lost before Watching this video. I was able to follow along thanks to your handy-dandy green laser even though I don’t know much about cars. I appreciate you taking the time to making such a thorough video.
lol got part for $12. After changing it I can tell you the 2000 is 90% the same as the 2005. I'm making the video for the 2000 now. Thanks for the help.
Helpful video, but my car must have a different size or type engine because the air filter hose thing was not moveable and really was a pain to get around! There was also some type of cord over top of the shifter cable that made getting the bolt for the speed sensor out nearly impossible. But 1.5 hours later, success.
Is there a shift solenoid that’s easily accessible in this car? Just changed the sensors but I couldn’t find the solenoid. Best research I’ve done says it’s in the transmission. Shooting my shot in these comments now.
2008 Hyundai tiburon 4 cyl automatic won't shift on its own, have to place it in manual mode to shift. Would shifting and be tied to the input sensor or that 3rd sensor in the back? The Tach and Speedometer are displaying correctly. The TPMS is stuck on and all the tires are at 35psi.

My input speed sensor is stuck. I can wiggle it but does not come out. Also, has anybody tried to replace Tucson 2009's input speed sensor. There are many similar sensors out there on eBay, Amazon, but none of them says it is compatible with Tucson 2009. Any comments will be well appreciated. And thanks to Nate S for the video - excellent job!!

@@johnonthecooldoe6338 Could be. But you really need the high tech scanner to know for sure, and you it's gonna be cheaper and easier than putting a different transmission in.
It's hard to know. Input sensor seems to go bad more often than output so buy both and try that one first. Then you can return whichever one you don't need
Mine was stuck in 3rd. Those are symptoms of bad sensors. If you can get it to an automotive store and get a diagnostic done, they might be able to tell you which sensor you need. If not, buy them both, install them one at a time, and see which one fixes the problem and then return the other.
Best way to know what you need is to have a diagnostic check done on the vehicle. Autozone offers free diagnostics. From there you can usually determine which/both sensors you need.
Do both then clean the whole area with crc letric parts cleaner. I'd pick up a can of crc belt conditioner while you're at the parts store and condition both sides of the belt with the engine running. You can also use the lectra cleaner to clean all the oil out of your alternator from your leaky upper valve gasket.
