wonderfull machine .great cpu
your motherboard has cpu_fan and cpu_opt connectors for cpu cooler fans. so you don't need to use a splitter but connect the main fan to cpu_fan and the second one to cpu_opt

Do you need the LGA 1700 standoffs if your fan sits okay without them?
Generally I would recommend to always use the correct backplate etc that's meant for your cooler that fits the socket of the motherboard. Might not get the optimal mounting pressure and therefore higher temperatures if you use something you had laying around
Thanks for sharing, I’m looking to get the same motherboard as well. Did you connect 2x 8pin EPS, or just 1 8pin?
I currently only have 1 8-pin connected, the second one is mainly for overclocking. I'll plug in the second one when I switch my case and PSU.
Also depends how power hungry your CPU is I guess. If you have two EPS 8-pin available I'd plug them in.
I have the same mobo and cpu but when I try to turn my pc the cpu light on the motherboard turns on orange and it won't display. Should I get a psu with two 8pin connectors for the cpu ? Or is it something else ?
A yellow debug light usually means there's an issue with DRAM, try taking the RAM sticks out and reseat them in the slots. I ran my cpu on 1 8- pin, no issues
I had the same issue. I think either my ram was bad. But then naught a new cpu. Mother board. Tested my gpu on my brothers system. Then tried his dram and it worked.
Sold my previous motherboard and cpu.

Unfortunately i have a problem with my cpu overheating massively(while playing battlefield 2042 on 34% cpu usage the temps are 95-99 degrees celsius)

Hello Shy Tech Guy.
I have completed my PC with this motherboard and KF CPU, but there is no video output. Note that POST is OK.
I have tried upgrading UEFI, but problem is still there unfortunately.
Could you please tell me, did you have such of a problem yourself?
I have tried potentially 2 dead videocards, 730(have been in the trunk of a car for last year) and 670(on this one there is POST error on VGA).
And ofc to eliminate user problem, i always connect HDMI to videocard.
Hm, no I didn't have that problem.Try another HDMI cable, make sure all cables are plugged in properly. How do you know it posts properly, can you hear it enter Windows?
@@TheShyTechGuy every part is brand new, there is no windows installed yet. Everything is connected, triple checked.On the side of motherboard, there are four post LEDs, that tell you what's going on during post process.
I am going to try out my videocards on different PC today, maybe they are both faulty. Thanks

Sorry for the late answer, but it depends if you're comfortable with it. I would watch some guides, and see if it's something you feel you would be confident in replicating
The rams are not working at 6000mhz ? I wonder why ?
Motherboard doesn't support my specific RAM higher than 5600MHz. Maybe I could get it to work, but it would require a whole lot of tinkering manually in the BIOS

Motherboards have a list of supported Memory. Usually called a QVL where you can check if your RAM and speed is compatible.

Also I just checked my RAM with the list and it comes up now, so might try to get it to 6000MHz. But to be safe I'd buy a different RAM

This is wrong.
1. Noctua? Mounting Noctua is against garancy policy.
2. Noctua is expensive. This is the worst cooler due to price per performance. Ask yourself. Why Datacenters not use Noctua.
3. Two fans? Why? What is the difference if you install one only.
4. The both fans are mounted at the same side. This means... what? One is at the wrong side-against air flow direction. Or maybe one fan is reverse? Prove me wrong.
I'm going to assume you've had a bad experience with Noctua. Reviews and tests generally show they are pretty good. The reason I chose it, was availability locally and it being black.The only thing I'm going to respond to is that I might actually have mounted one of the fans the wrong way. I corrected that after the video was filmed.
@TheShyTechGuy look dude. It seems you are good men. You need to realize. You are paying 10% for Nomtua's advertising + 10% shipping from Australia. You pay ÷20% only by those two criterias. Price per performance is very low. This is next big problem. At the end you are a proud owner of very expensive product only for -5 or - 10 °C . It is not worth it at all.
I am happy you fix the wrong fan direction. Next time follow the arrow symbol on the fan.
