Today is my 52nd Birth day and 102nd Birth day of Late Pandit BharatRatna Bhimsain JoshiJi. I am hearing this night your masterpiece MataShree. I could not get chances to learn more after the untimely death of my father at 50 years in 1989. I loved music more than formal education. But I could not afford. To be a classical musician was my only dream from childhood. I learnt from GuruJi Sri Benu Dubey resided in New Alipore upto 1985. He was the disciple of Renowned Musician T. L. Rana. If I were been able to learn music sitting at your feet MataJi at this age, I would be awarded the best. Ten years ago I discovered oneday my GuruJi's residence is replaced by a lofty multistorey building.
Wish the rendition was a bit more longer. Beautiful though. How can anyone sing so impeccably despite being not well 😭❤️. Pranam to her sadhana and love towards music. Truly inspiring 🙌

This raga should not be played and sung this. This melody is to give peace to the listener and not excitement. The drut was really powerful, but absolutely doesn't do justice with this raga. She needs the talim of her father Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty.
I have to agree this for the 2nd half. There isn't any need for these rhythmic games at high speed. It probably thrills the audience and modern artists need to do this to make a name.
This is a playful and romantic raag . Not every rag should sound peaceful acc to theory ,depends on artists interpretation. Hear drut rendition of this raag pt ji's early gayakis. In my opinion , She did enough justice to bhava if in the first 37 minutes. I personally loved variations she brought in the drut. But yes at some places it did hinder the aesthetics when she was doing those small firat like progressions.. though it was a very imp part of many renditions of bade khan sahb's gayaki. . But from an aspect of technical. Naman 🙏 . If anyone wants to disagree ,its absolutely okay but respectfully without being crass.

Yeah. This is a Shringaric Rag and Nazakat is suited. However salute to this extraordinary talent. God's own daughter.
