I’m posting here because your thread is recent. I’m answering a common question. The battery on my wife’s Hermes series 5 fell to 79%. I brought it to the Apple store. It’s over 3 years old, but I’m on extended AppleCare for $ 5.99 month. I was told Apple does not replace the battery on Hermes watches. Instead,they give you a brand new Hermes of the same series. It comes in a small box, with no band. My cost was zero dollars. If I was out of warranty, the cost would have been $ 399. The replacement cost is less for older models. My wife’s series 2 has a replacement cost of $ 229. Understand, you cannot buy these for those prices. These are replacements and you must turn in your Hermes. Surprisingly, the replacement doesn’t end the warranty. I can continue paying $ 5.99 month for Apple Care on the replacement. Should I ? I’m not sure. I previously had Apple replace the battery on a series 4 stainless (not Hermes), for $ 80. The rep told me they can’t replace the batteries on Hermes without damaging it. My experience justifies getting Apple Care on the Hermes. It’s for 3 years. Also, don’t send it out to third parties. If Apple won’t replace the batteries, I wouldn’t trust third party shops.
I bought the Series 6 a couple of years ago (2021), and I loved the hell out of it... I needed the screen replaced AND a new battery, which would've cost nearly $700 to do so, so I am about to upgrade to the latest and NOT forget to get applecare this time!
I was comparing it to the aluminum case that I had before. It’s got more of a matte finish so it doesn’t show scratches really. The stainless steel will show scratches more obviously
Great video. I am also looking into getting my first watch and really really I am falling in love with the Hermes one ❤ Question are you able to use your apple card in Hermes to pay it? I do want to get that experience of buying from the store, but will not mind to get it from Apple either.
I had the same question! I think to go through the flow of choosing the amount of installments you’d want, etc as well as getting the 0% interest you have to buy it from apple, which is a bummer, because I agree I’d rather buy it from Hermès. My compromise was trying on the different bands in the Hermès store to get a feel for them and then ultimately buying it online through apple.
I understand why you want the Hermes store experience. We have purchased all of my wife’s Louis Vuitton handbags at their own stores. It’s a great experience and the memory adds to the enjoyment of the bags. The best experience was in Paris.
You’re not really getting any hermes item for~$1.2K; and the band is the same high quality as normal Hermes leather. The stainless steel Watch actually has a much more durable glass; so it won’t scratch up like the aluminum ones

How is the stainless steel case ''a little bit more fragile'' - in comparison to what, the aluminum or titanium cases?
