Dude I gotta tell you, I work at Apple , and this video was just as engaging as a product launch video. The music evoked emotion, the voice over was clear and concise. You eased into every point with grace. It’s all awesome. Keep up the great work

One of the best video reviews for any product ever.
Hermès is all about craftsmanship and scarcity, they found a way through Apple to accessorize their customers. Those Apple accessories are truly made for the Hermès’ customers. Meanwhile, if you are an Apple customer who appreciate refine, well-crafted hand-stitched leather goods; then they might resonate to you.
The partnership also allows Apple to continue to straddle that luxury / practicality line. It further establishes the Apple Watch (and Apple) as a luxury product, with luxury accessories - if you want to approach it that way. If you care more about fitness / health, there’s a dedicated space for you too (with Nike). That duality is fascinating, especially when you consider Apple initially branded the watch as a luxury item, and eventually changed the focus to fitness / health. They’ve found a way to exist and be respected in both worlds.

Having been a consumer of very, very expensive and sometimes hard to acquire watches, I view a Hermes Apple Watch collaboration as a wonderfully gorgeous marriage while being the ultimate in functionality and beauty-and the price is a bag of seashells by comparison to what I used to consider in watches, hence these are my only watches now…

Really, really high quality video, I can tell you're extremely underrated, you have a great understanding of everything you talk about and you get your point across coherently. It's rare to see a product reviewer that genuinely understands the product and the logic behind it.
My daughter asked for an Apple Watch. I would have preferred to buy her a Luxury mechanical watch, but if I had to get an Apple Watch, than a Hermes model was the obvious choice. It has almost as much elegance as a real watch for a small premium over an ugly Apple model. If she wants to make it more casual, than the cost of an extra Nike or Apple band is trivial. It's a great option for both companies and definitely gets them new consumers.

What a great video. I bought my Hermes band for myself for Christmas this past year and if I had not seen your videos I would’ve never spent the extra money to purchase the deployment buckle. I am so glad I did I’m like you I can’t see myself buckling something every morning but that band is so comfortable it’s so easy to get on and off I wear it every day it still looks brand new six months later and I really appreciate your review of the new products. Apple is the "Hermes" of IT Tech ... And Hermes is the "Apple" of Fashion Line , kinda compliments each other when you come mention it . In in society we are associated on how we display to the public , is like myself , is like when I have friends that drives a BMW , in first look WOW you are successful , no doubt there are 2 kinds of people that like BMW , some are just to show their level as they are " RICH" and on the other side some choose BMW because the value German engineering . Thats how I feel .
It used to be.
I remember when Apple products used to cost way more than their worth. But with the release of the M1 MacBooks, the cost is justified by its performance.
You could somewhat say the same with their other products too. While the performance improvement is marginal, the fact that other companies with slightly lower performance have priced their products close to Apple’s, makes them somewhat worth it.
But Hermes is just a luxury brand. Made to deceive people with a lot of money.
There is absolutely no monetary value with this product other than it’s brand.

Wow, could've watched a 2 hour long review with no problem at all. At first I was iffy buying an hermes Apple watch I thought it was too expensive, but you brought up an amazing point, its cheap considering how expensive all their other products are lol waiting on the hermes series 7 that hopefully comes out this month.
Seeing non-leather Hermes bands left me scratching my head but this is the video that made it make sense, and with impeccable cinematography and narration. Meanwhile the braided solo loop pride band is quickly becoming my new favorite although I think I will keep swapping it for 2017 woven nylon pride and 2020 pride sport bands every once in awhile this season.

I like how you broke down hermes customers vs apple’s
It seems that the Hermès watch bands are at once an afterthought for the Hermès crowd and an aspiration for the typical crowd, so there’s always a market. The keychains seem a bridge too far (for me) but apparently not for many. Lots of factors and variables involved here. Age, income, priorities, etc. All that said I think it continues to be a compelling if not important relationship and I’m glad it exists, even though more time than not, I’m not the target.

Great take as always. Apple - Hermès partnership provides exposure to products that I think compliment each other. Both are luxury brands in themselves and the partnership gives consumers that want that an added choice.
It’s almost as if Hermès is testing the waters with what products it provides to Apple. Hermès focuses mostly on wearables, but are now offering cases for iPhone, so the next would be cases for the AirPods Pro/Max line?, perhaps cases for iPad Pro, and MacBook Pro?
Great choice of color on the jumping single tour. I’m debating getting that exact band, so I’m curious as to how it holds up over time. I too have the Hermès SS with noir deployment band, and I love the silver stainless with black look, it reminds me of the black iPhone 4/4s which I think is the best looking iPhone design ever. Anyway, that’s what I think. Looking forward to your other product takes.

The Apple Hermes products are for those Apple customers with some disposable income who want to make their accessories special. I have the Hermes Noir Apple Watch and consider it worth it as it gives pleasure to me each day, rather than just be functional. I’ve been considering the Hermes Apple Watch for the sole purpose that it is the top of the top of the line Apple Watch line. Not huge on Hermes but they don’t make bad products either.

Top vid as usually - Not something you have asked for in your closing words, but imho, (myself having spend some 800 AUD on an hermes band) - I kind of put this into perspective of what goes on in this world and think if we perhaps have gone off to much for an “ordinary” person to not feel contempt - for people like us… well, at least that is what concerns me and I have no answer for my own question… but yeah it worries me… If I had a hunch - then I’d say that is how the Roman empire was spending its time on (and not fixing its problems) before it collapsed by the virtues of it’s own decadence….

It is a great partnership between the companies, and let Apple users touch a luxury brand/products, and vise versa opens Hermes new markets, introducing quality through small products and expose people to the brand and the products it manufactures. Last, Luxury has no sense, either you appreciate it or not.
