I can't get over how brave you are. You're so mature for your age also... you're very bright & have a lot of potential bundled up in you.
It's refreshing to see that you've just accepted your lot & the cards you've been dealt & are just getting on with it. Don't feel too bad about it, it's just a part of the human condition. I do hope you're well these days as you havn't posted for a while. Look after yourself. Try & take regular exercise & never forget that you're family (& all of us on here!) love you.

Don't let schizophrenia define and amplify you. You are a young beautiful lady. You are an artist who has courage to explore this world. The more you stress the fact you are schizophrenic the more it defines you.

Hey, my mom has had this disease since she was kid. I plan to show her your video.
You give me hope I can get her back to where was. Happy. This sickness truly does happen to those that deserve it the least. Breaks my heart.
People like you help give hope and make it better.
    Hang in there.

I have schizophrenia, I just want to say how brave you are! I've had a lot of the same things happen to me, you can do anything you want! I have delusions that a lady that I know is trying to kill me, I'm terrified of her, but the thing is, she's really nice. My mind can't see that. Hang in there, you're going to do something good to this world

I was privileged to have a highschool mate with your level of talent (I checked out your instagram). For you it's natural but it's unbelievable to compare to anything else people are capable of. I can only say College does you a favour, and I don't believe it deserves you either. Higher Education should serve you, independent of the fact that it being demanding is very useful for students, but surely not in the form of deadlines and all other highschool-level carnivals. I admired him so much that I planned beforehand to pick up and take home a piece of paper where he drew a scene in 10 secs out of boredom and tossed before end of class. So I did, and kept it for couple years after highschool. Your talent is the one kind of thing that absolutely stuns me. For me nothing come close. As for your health... you know what you're doing better than many people your age would. You're awesome.

I've read that a precent of people manage it so well that it does not manifest whatsoever, hope you'll be one of those people. Also the upside of this is that you'll be very creative and have a unique view on the world, so that could help you in your career as an artist. Good luck, and stay positive and strong, there must be a purpose and reason for everything.

Hi Emily! I've known a girl with schizophrenia and bipolar for about 15 years so I am quite used to it. She actually has gotten better but she has "episodes" now and then but they also seem to become more distant (SOME of her meds was NEVER good for her condition). She drank quite a lot before but can't anymore due to becoming psychotic from it (and almost the only time I get SEVERE depression is if I had too much to drink and I have chronic pain "only" - no other "issues" other than the occasional ordinary depression and anxiety due to obvious reasons... being in pain 365 days a year is as "fun" as schizophrenia seem to be like).
I hope you are doing OK and I hope you upload a new vid soon and some more of your amazing artwork!! :)

Few years ago I had hallucinations and voices. I was most of the time alone and I was depressed, stressed, sad and confused, slowly started to lose a grip on reality and it felt like I was going mad. My parents left me on my own they had too many problems already, so I had to fight on my own. To this day I remained depressed, asocial, alone and in deep anxiety + I have a habit of talking to myself when Im alone...I did stop hallucinations and voices on my own, never used drugs for it, just had my mind set on 'dominance' within my own head. My question is, have you experienced lucid dreaming? Btw if you need a friend, someone to talk too, I will gladly hear you out. Have a nice day!

Hey Emilie, I'm from canada and I too suffer from mental health issues. Personnally, I'm struggling with depersonnalisation/derealization disorder which I had already developped symptomps of when I was young but what really sparked it for me was when I started messing around with high doses of LSD. Since the trips (which I can't do anymore or else I go into complete psychosis), I feel like I'm constantly looking at a movie through my eyes also I feel like I am not in control of my body and my motions and sometimes (on bad days) Im so dissociated from my body that I can't even recognize myself and it won't go away until someone notices me... Anyway I just wanted to say that I love your content, it helped me understand that I am not alone and that really helps me get through each day. I truly wish you the best and hope to hear from you soon!

GOOD ADVICE - ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING EVERY DAY :)
Honestly, the best thing you can do is make something every day. Whether it be designing and making a new dress, or buying a plastic car model from a hobby shop and building it, making things is a good way to counter what you were going through. Poeple feel better when they know they are accomplishing something good. Making something every day not only helps you develop good hand-to-eye coordination, it also helps you better distinguish between what is real and what is just an imagination. One good choice is to make little items and sell them.
You can buy little rubber molds online from any moldmaking supply house. You also buy the material to pour into the molds, which can range from sandstone to plastic to rubber, even concrete for the larger molds to make outdoor items. You mix this material with the hardening liquid that comes with it, then you pour it into the rubber molds. When dry, you remove the little items and then you paint them. You can then sell these items on ebay or open up a website, which is very inexpensive to do nowadays. You might be able to turn it into a real business that brings in enough money to live on. Everyone feels much better when they are productive, when they know they followed the directions properly and created something real that has value they can sell. :)
    Have you ever seen a Hummel figurine? These can fetch quite high prices, sometimes thousands of dollars for a single figurine. The expensive ones are often old, which is what makes them rare, but even figurines being made today which resemble Hummels are purchased by collectors. What you could do, is use Sculpey clay to fashion your own miniature figurine, one with an attractive appearance like the old rare ones. Bake it in the oven for 20 minutes to harden the clay, and make a rubber mold of it to cast 10 or 20 of your figurines. You then paint them nicely and sell them on eBay. There are so many things a creative person like you can do. Here's a video showing how to make a rubber mold of an action figure;

Hey! I think u are so very awesome. First off, I have some of the same symptoms you have were the voices try to make me feel paranoid. One thing I can say to help u is remember the voices are from another source they do not come from your brain. And just no there is no such thing as fake hearing something. If u hear something then something is making a noise. It's not like seeing thangs were your eyes can play tricks with because of different reasons.

Hi, I hope you're doing well. My mum has had it since I was a kid. If I could share one thing it would be that over time you will find a balance, especially as you're young right now and your brain is still forming in certain ways . As you get older things should start to become a bit easier over time. My mum's mediciation got to a place many years ago now where they figured out the best type and doses for her and she's been able to keep to that routine and manage it quite well since. If you ever need to speak to someone or are worried/scared then always go to that one person who you know you can trust. best friend/parent. Let them now what you're feeling and if they can see something in particular is related to your ilness then it is easier to acknowledge it being confirmed from them, rather from someone it may make you distrust at the time. Every so often a strange idea or a little bit of paranoia will creep in and getting my mum to talk to me about it and then being able to conirm to her that it isn't fact but something related to the illness helps her a lot, as she knows I can be trusted and also remembers conversations we've had in the past about other things she was able to see were false after discussing it.

You are so young but it is good that you've been diagnosed early. Thank you for sharing your story and your Art work. Your pieces/artistic expression is pretty cool and it is a blessing and a curse to have mental health issues. Like you, I feel blessed with the creativity - not everything that arises from my mind is distressing.
I wondered if you thought about your future in terms of managing your illness? Are you having some type of support/therapy to help you accept and manage the schizophrenia? Keep sharing if you feel comfy...Like an elder here on the net -as you know, be very careful about what you share on here and I would encourage you to develop a safe distance from the www. Maybe taking hiatus to focus on your Recovery for periods. I say this because the www is not always the best place to be when you feel paranoid, anxious or whatever. At the same time, the www is a valuable space for relating and breaking barriers/isolation. Sorry if I sound patronising or whatever, just trying to look out for you.

Again, love your channel. Please, keep making videos ...

So far, was there any bad experience from publishing on UA-cam? How do you regulate how UA-cam affects your life? All the best from Milano city

Hi Emily! Did you paint the lion in the background? It's awesome! The colors are so bright and beautiful! Someone mentioned it already, and I second their opinion: you should make a video about your art, if you do happen to draw or paint. Just a thought, just a thought! Have a good one and cheers! :D

hi, well thank you for sharing this - its something that I did not really understand, because it is rarely spoken about. But it sounds to me like you are having paranoid thoughts - whereas i thought schizophrenia was where people become different personalities. Do you have talking therapy, is there someone who is helping you to understand that these paranoid thoughts are not real? I mean if I get an upsetting worrying /paranoid thought I can (9 times out of 10) control it by trying to come up with the most positive /calming thought and It helps to change my mind and it has a calming effect on me. Does that make sense? Sorry for rambling. I just think that we can train ourselves to be more positive and more resilient. Best of luck, I hope you are feeling better - you're right I think there are many undiagnosed schizophrenics.

Canyoudigityesyoucan Multiple personalities and schizophrenia are not the same thing. The multiple personalities is called Disassociate Identity Disorder. Meaning they take on different personas in order to cope with triggers and then have no recollection of that time because the self they identify with doesn’t recognize the persona that was present during that time. Schizophrenia is suffering from hallucinations and delusions which can cause paranoia. But I believe this is just and overstimulation is parts of the brain most of society isn’t tapped into yet. Times are changing though, we’ll get there :)
