    Excellent video. Really clear. Great work. Just what I needed. I need to gain access to the gearbox speed sensor. So this has helped a lot. Thanks for sharing.

    I don't know what I'd do without you. Currently tackling take the motor out of my 2007 STi for headgaskets! PS you can make all those fins look perfect if you use some tweezers to grab them individually, and pull straight out. Long process but makes it like new.

      Hell yea, good call on the tweezers! Thanks!

    Great video I want to ask you if I would be ok driving without AC belt on my 2010 Forester sohc

    • @SubaruONLY
      @SubaruONLY  6 років тому +2

      Yes. Totally fine. If that AC compressor is making noise or failing - this is definitely a good option if you want to postpone fixing it, or of you just don’t need the AC anymore. Cheers buddy! Thanks for checking out the videos!

    My tmic is stuck at the turbo inlet. Played with it for hours yesterday only got it to budge a little but it won't slide off..

      Spray a little WD-40 around the seal. Should help.

    What's the two pipes on the front called

    • @SubaruONLY
      @SubaruONLY  4 роки тому

      That’s the PVC system crossover pipe - pulls those oily vapors from the valve covers and injects in the turbo inlet side of intake. This is also where you want to tap into the system and add a high quality air/oil separator! 👍

  • @las3k91
    @las3k91 3 роки тому +1

    This oil in TMIC is from PCV or turbo? How much oil is too much?

    • @SubaruONLY
      @SubaruONLY  3 роки тому +1

      Most often from the PVC system. If it totally coated and some liquid oil is pooling up in the manifold low points, def too much oil. 👍

      Maybe try whacking it a bit with a rubber mallet.

    It's me again with GC8 v5 sti. It has another problem which is cruise surge. when pressing the gas pedal gently for slight acceleration, the car will not bring more power, but RPM still rising steadily. After pressing the gas pedal more, it will "kick" you and accelerating hard. Feels like it can only hard accelerate and boost up but not cruise. I have changed to OEM AFM and OEM super coolant, no big intake leak, and idle boost pressure -17psi. Engine running fine with no vibration or misfire. Could be a fuel pump or fuel regulator?

    • @yuchenliu6939
      @yuchenliu6939 3 роки тому

      And also tried ECU reset, plug green to green, and black to the black connector and drive for 1 minute above 11km/h.

    • @SubaruONLY
      @SubaruONLY  3 роки тому

      Sounds like may be a good idea to take it to a tuner. Might have a larger turbo or other aftermarket parts.

    • @yuchenliu6939
      @yuchenliu6939 3 роки тому
