Awwww.. that is the best news I've heard in a while. Hearing that Orlando is reunited with his family just made my day!! I appreciate you telling me that. Have a great day and Aloha!:)
You need to try out “Roast Duck” in Aiea shopping center 2 nd floor right in front when you get off the escalator. They sell out early just after lunchtime. They also have killas fried rice that has a lot of char siu in it. Yum !!!
Hey Sean! Try O’Kims in Chinatown. It will blow your palate away. The flavor are spot on and the dressing for the salad are on another level. I plan to go there again before I leave. Seaweed salmon is amazing!!!
Aloha Peter!! I appreciate your input. Actually, my fellow UA-cam friend from Ohanaeatz , we were suppose to eat there and she told me how great O'Kims is! Nice, I'll have to check out the Seaweed Salmon. Appreciate the info!! Mahalo!🤙💯
Mahalo! really enjoyed your ramblings around Chinatown. I'm going to try Cuu Long II (I LOVE a good banh mi!) and Pho To Chau on my next visit. My favorite manapua though are the baked ones, esp. the cha siu & kalua pork, at Royal Kitchen - they're the best! Would love to see you visit there if you haven't yet, and hear your opinion - 100 N. Beretania, #175, but the entrance is on River St.

Ooohhh K. Your channel is making my cravings list longer and longer! 😩 I haven’t explored our China town much but it doesn’t look like a bad idea. My mom being from Hong Kong speaks fluent Chinese, I gotta bring her with me so she can translate. P.S. I do not sell seashells by the seashore 😆
Oh Sally, please do explore Chinatown and the servers there appreciate it when someone can speak their language. I know this because my wife speaks fluent Vietnamese. Enjoy the food and please let me know what you think:)🤙👍 and sorry, I didn't mean to say you were selling the seashells by the seashore. It's another Sally😂🤣🤣
Thanks Sean. I was stationed there in the 90’s at the Kaneohe Marine Base there so I am returning to the island. I am sure that there have been lots that has changed. We have had this trip booked for almost a year now and I have been spending a lot of time on Google Earth to get myself re-acclimated to the island. The North Shore eateries I am most excited about. The SevenBrothers Burger and the Shrimp truck are what I am most looking forward to as well as the Poke Nachos. My mouth was watering just watching ya eat it. Also wanted to let you know that I found your videos to be the most entertaining, so to you and your lovely wife, please keep up the great work.
Subscribed😁 love the reviews Sean. We are from Australia and travel to Oahu often for holiday. Im glad you mentioned about the homeless and poilce presence in Chinatown..it maybe a bit scary for first timers if you go down the wrong street especially where the bus drops you off from Waikiki 😂 But your reviews are spot on 👍
Aloha Joel!! Mahalo for subscribing and yes, I thought it was important to inform others that come there for the first time. I think overall, Chinatown is safe in the day but no need to go there at night if ppl aren't familiar with the area. I appreciate your words. 🤙👍

This makes me homesick ... and yeah, real Pho comes with a ton of veggies.... I've seen little old Vietnamese ladies eat whole heads of lettuce with their lunch.
Amazing video Sean! Cuu Long II’s signature is also Pho, they make everything good. It would be cool if you could try all the Pho’s in Chinatown in 1-2 weeks and do a review ;)

Char siu bao, was bought over to Polynesians, manapua translate tasty lil pork things, the Samoans call it a similar word, but char sieu bao is the original OG,
I prefer the baked manapua at Royal Kitchen over the steamed manapua at Sing Cheong Yuan Bakery. But, their pork hash is much, much better than Royal Kitchen.
Whatsup Keoni, nice.. I'm gonna check out the pork hash on the Yuan Bakery and the Manapua at the Royal Kitchen. Soo much to check out. Appreciate it!:)

Cherry video braddah🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Mahalo!! Appreciate it!💯🤙
I Love Your video, Thank you!
Mahalo Oan! Glad you liked the video! Aloha🤙😋
Mahalo!🤙💯
I’m planning to go back since I’m still here Til next week. Hopefully we’ll run into you. Mahalo!!!
Mahalo! really enjoyed your ramblings around Chinatown.
Mahalo for watching Jeff! Best Banh Mi I had was at Cuu Long. And my Mom loves the Royal Kitchen. She always asks me to stop by there when we have a family reunion. I should do a review there! Aloha!🤙
@@SeanKaleponi I look forward to that Sean! Aloha!

Thanks so much for the info!!! Included prices and days closed. Our trip is in 197 days!
Thanks so much for watching!! 197 days and counting:) Enjoy Hawaii.
Ooohhh K. Your channel is making my cravings list longer and longer! 😩 I haven’t explored our China town much but it doesn’t look like a bad idea. My mom being from Hong Kong
speaks fluent Chinese, I gotta bring her with me so she can translate.
Thank you for sharing! Will be in Oahu in August. So excited!!
Aloha Kathy!! Hope you had a great time when visiting Hawaii in August:) 🤙👍
@@SeanKaleponi loved it. I stayed at the Sheraton. Planning to go back soon. 🙏🏾
Sean,… Thank You for the tips, dude. making a trip out to the island in 2 weeks and can’t wait to eat some local cuisine.
Aloha Jimmy! Enjoy your trip here. 2 weeks is soon! Please let me know what you think of the foods. Mahalo🤙👍
My family loves going to the first Vietnamese restaurant u show. Sadly Covid hit and I can’t eat there as often
Aloha Lydia!! Your family has good taste and I know it's an Authentic Vietnamese spot!:) Hope you get to go more often soon🤙👍

This makes me homesick ... and yeah, real Pho comes with a ton of veggies.... I've seen little old Vietnamese ladies eat whole heads of lettuce with their lunch.
Hoping you can come back to Hawaii. And yes, the Pho is really good and healthy. I seen my in laws eat with lots of veggies!:)
Awesome job Sean and Nhi!
Thanks Gina! We appreciate your support!:) Aloha!:)

Aloha from Maryland. Thanks for another great vlog, very informative and entertaining too. Wanted to ask, is Fook Lam wheelchair friendly? I travel to Hawaii once a year w/my 90 yr old Mom who is in a wheelchair. I'm going to assume parking for this would be in the Chinatown Cultural Plaza. Mahalo!
Aloha to you in Maryland!:) thanks for watching the video and supporting us!:) and yes, Fook Lam is wheelchair friendly. You can park in the Cultural Plaza Parking Lot and it's wheelchair friendly. It would be against the law if it wasn't. You and your Mom will have a great time there!:)

Chicken feet is supposed to be good for your skin because of the collagen! I’m a quarter Chinese and have yet to eat it but I will soon lol
Aloha Jackie, yes I need to build the courage to eat Chicken Feet. If it's good for the skin, then I'll suck it up if it means looking younger. !:)

I don't think roast duck and roast pork are from Southeast Asia. I think it's from Guangzhou China.
Thanks for the knowledge!:)
