Born 4 June 1738 - King George III

Born on June 4th, 1738, in London, I, George William Frederick ascended the throne as King George III in 1760. As the first Hanoverian monarch born in England and with English as my native tongue, I hoped to forge a closer connection with my subjects. My reign was a period of immense change, including the American Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. While some criticised my handling of the colonies, I believed I was acting in the best interests of the entire empire.
