Dang I wasn't planning on making a trip to the mall but I may have to now.
The owner is a very friendly and nice person! I highly suggest getting a milkshake there!

I went to the downtown farmer's market today and lo and behold I saw Wafloo's there. I quickly correlated the video,and understand that Wafloo's left the mall. I did try a waffle, and it was very good. I was a little leery as I've had dutch waffles and they had huge chunks of sugar in there. But wafloo's was just very nice, I had the Italian sausage. I'd buy it again in the heartbeat. The owner is also very nice and from Belgium.

Met the lady that founded Waffloos she was amazing highly recommend getting this S teir food anywhere you see them.
Makes me want to fly to AB just for dessert. Yummy!!
Plan to drive there this summer from Vancouver. Excited!

I believe they moved to the Old Strathcona farmers market
Update, I was told by the owner that they left because their rent got to stay at the mall got raised. Now, the best place to find them is at the Strathcona Farmers Market beside Whyte Ave.
This definitely adds a much needed touch to Europa Boulevard.
Happy to report I bought one of their sandwiches today. I got the turkey and ham. Oh my gosh!! It was the best sandwich I ever had!! I almost bought another one. The milkshake was amazing too! Quite pricey, but worth it! The owner was super nice too!

Just gotta say: I think that the mall historian angle you have going here is way more interesting than the actual food review. You should probably lean into that more, it's really interesting!
I appreciate that, and I agree. However, there's just a limit to the variety and scope of things to talk about....

Matt, is it true you can make your own sandwiches there like at Subway? Like, you can pick your own bread, sauce and veggies?
Not quite the same, but they absolutely make everything to order: bread, veggies, sauce... you do get to pick, and OMG is it ever good.
