I think the philosophies of the both of them are right in their own ways. Many of Matt's decisions and actions are influenced by his catholicism. At the end of the day, we all can agree that Punisher is a more effective hero. Everyone doesn't deserve justice, especially not terrible human beings. Those who've suffered deserve justice. The victims deserve justice, not the perpetrator. Because, you'll never be able to understand a criminal. He will live on to kill another person. But, that's the question. Should a human be able to judge another human? Frank Castle is a ruthless and cold blooded killer who is fueled by vengeance, we should aspire not to turn out like him. But, Punisher is more effective and Daredevil is more humane.

I think that both are right, until they reach to the extreme of their ideology. Daredevil believes in hope that one day the criminal might turn on the good side, but it doesn't always work, sometimes people turn to the good side it costs you a lot, so much collateral damage, so much injustice just to turn a person into good. Ultimately, it's not worth it. You are letting people die and waiting for the slaughterer to turn into good side, and he might turn to the good side but, how did help the people, the society, the children. It just helped the criminal and made him a good man, which is not a case most of the time. Castle lost his family in front of his eyes, the people who killed them were his friends. Matt's father died outside ring, someone murdered him. But the difference is matt had his own sense of justice. He wanted to finish evil, not it's living forms. Castle saw it differently. He found a less complicated way of giving justice, just killing everything that has evil. It's not an ideology, it's a situation that made them who they're. Things are more complex then it seems.

when you were explaining Punisher's ideology, you've missed a serious point...!! and it is "Collateral Damaged" , innocent folks could get killed by a cross fire montage started by Punisher..!; and how will you justify that!!! even if the results are good, it is coming at a price; the sacrifice of inocent lives!!;

Their perspective; ha ha ha, no one can understand it, i said no one. You can pretend but you can't understand. Castle lost his family in front of his eyes, the people who killed them were his friends. Matt's father died outside ring, someone murdered him. But the difference is matt had his own sense of justice. He wanted to finish evil, not it's living forms. Castle saw it differently. He found a less complicated way of giving justice, just killing everything that has evil. It's not an ideology, it's a situation that made them who they're. Things are more complex then it seems.
Seriously we can't decide who is right, just like Captain America and Iron man in Civil War 🙂
